I think chances are extremely low that there will be another re-release next year. I recently attended a presentation with Jaime Berard, and in the Q&A at the end one thing he was asked about was this years winter village re-release. In short (as to the best of my recollection): 1) They had an extremely busy period, and decided something had to give 2) The toy shop was a highly requested item to re-release, and a re-release was deemed a better option than taking a break from the winter village for one year (since it was the first in the series and a lot of people missed out on it, not realising it would be a full series of sets) 3) The small updates were due to customer feedback/complaint on the original set 4) They knew people who already owned all the sets would be disappointed, but that the ones who missed out would be very happy - but sometimes you can't please everyone He was not able to comment on future sets (no surprise!), but talked a bit in general about how they planned their different product lines, and I was left feeling pretty sure that we will see a new winter village set next year. LegoFjotten replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Looks like a really nice series! The only one I'm not too thrilled about is the Laser Robot, looks kinda dull. -

Why is LEGO now being made in China?
LegoFjotten replied to 9v system's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The main reason for having a factory in China is to produce bricks for the Asian market. It does not make any kind of business sense to produce the product in a high cost country and then ship it halfway around the world to a low cost country. You may call it "costs savings" or whatever and give it a negative spin all you want, but it is just common business logic. The factory in China is not a second rate facility, it is run according to the same standard as the other LEGO factories. Considering the amount of LEGO bricks produced worldwide every day, I think LEGO has fantastic consistency in their products and excellent QC. -

I like the Battle of Takodana set, nice figs. Good thing I don't have to get the shuttle to get Kylo Ren. -

I totally agree Fuppylodders. The back wall is no beauty, but it doesn't bother me at all. I think it is easy to understand the tradeoffs that has been made, and I think the end result is excellent! I think we are lucky to get such a big set, and I applaud TLG for doing it - they could have gone with a smaller / cheaper version to make it available to more people but instead made something big. This is realistically the best version of the GBHQ we could wish for TLG to produce. Sure I wouldn't mind a few more figures, prints instead of stickers, more tiles etc, but it would just add to the price. I hope TLG will make more large sets in the $350+ range, and I think it is very cool that they mix it up a bit and make big sets that is not part of the regular Star Wars UCS/modular houses/landmark series. -
Thank you for the review, and nice timing too! I got & built this set yesterday as part of a crazy deal on a few small sets. Usually I wouldn't have bought this, but €20 for this set + an A-Wing and 2 microfighters was just too good to pass up. I found the build to be a lot better than expected, and the Naboo guards are very nice. Captain Tarpals is nicely done too, but battle droids and Gungans are the the embodiment of what was wrong with Ep1 for me so I don't get much enjoyment out of them.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

In 2013 we also had the X-Wing, and in 2015 the Tie Fighter. We will just have to wait and see if we get one or two in 2016... -

Better braze myself for a huge disappointment if the Hoth UCS set is indeed what we saw in that video... -
So your issue is that a non-native english speaker used "girl" instead of "woman"? Really? Could it be you are reading too much into it?

Ghostbusters (Reboot) 2016 sets rumors and discussion
LegoFjotten replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Sooo.... we can probably just sit back and wait for the posts claiming Lego stole the idea for the new Ecto-whatever from Ideas then. Otherwise, cool that a Ghostbusters theme is happening, hope we will get some nice sets and some nice figs. This is a perfect theme to give us some more diversity in licensed style female characters. Not too excited about the movie itself since the casting leads me to believe it will be a style of comedy that does not appeal to me at all. -
Excellent work, this really stands out to me as a realistic looking modular.

Quick build for a competition at Brikkelauget.no. And in it's natural habitat. Messed up the focus on this one... oops! Higher resolution on Flickr.

The first pics were somewhat anticlimatic, but that hi-res pics with more figs reeled me right back in. Looking forward to interior pictures! Very happy it will arrive in January and not in July, would be great if they did a early VIP release so we could get this before Christmas. -
The movie premiere will be daytime on the 16th up here, nice! Got my ticket today.

Ratchet & Clank Movie and Game Discussion

Uhm. I found the trailer to be so dull I didn't bother watching the whole thing. I played one of the games, but never fell in love with it - Jax & Daxter was indeed much better.- 16 replies

Regardless of what children or AFOL's like or not, I think it is highly unlikely we will see a Doctor Who theme or CMF series.
