At a recent factory tour in Billund we were told that the monorail molds are now resting in peace in the concrete floor below some section of the factory.

High resolutions pic on Flickr Not sure what happened here... I was trying to build a modern day bar vignette and somehow ended up with my first Steampunk build...

DC Super Heroes - 76052 Batman™ Classic TV Series - Batcave
LegoFjotten replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Licensed
Built the set this weekend, and I like it better than I thought I would. It is a bit bigger and feels more substantial than I expected after seeing it in photos. My favourite parts are the library / house facade, the atomic pile and the vehicles. The cave structures are a bit sparse with too many exposed studs and technic holes for my taste. Love the printed wallpaper pieces in the library! There are a lot of stickers, but that's too be expected I guess. Figs are excellent. Knew I would love the civilian figs & Catwoman, but The Joker is pretty nifty too. Batman & Robin look as expected, while the Penguin & Riddler are a bit plain to me (but I would guess they are true to the source material). Sooo.... would I recommend it to those still on the fence? If you can get it at a discount I'd say it's worth giving it a shot. (For the record, I never watched the TV show, so there is no nostalgia in it for me). Edit: Typo -

Hmm... I think I could pass on that quite easily actually, and I don't see the potential for a great UCS set to be honest. -

Finally built this set, love it! Wasn't sure if I should apply the stickers or not, but ended up doing so after building it - except for one sneaky sticker which I couldn't find when flipping through the instructions, #13. Anyone remember where that sticker should go? Picture of the sticker sheet in the spoiler tags: -
I'm just passing along what a LEGO designer told some of the participants at the EB event a few weeks back, do with the info as you wish.

Unfortunately that amount of printing isn't going to be the norm anytime soon, it's just too expensive. If every fig in a set had that amount of printing, there wouldn't be any budget left for parts. Wouldn't mind seeing a new top-of-the-line Spidey though, and as you say it is certainly possible for them to make one. If they do make one they would probably be accused of putting a killer fig in a weak set to exploit us poor AFOLs...

Personally I much prefer Sharon Carter to yet another Spiderman. As for Panther's jet, I think it's a surprisingly nice build for a small set. Don't know if it is accurate or not to the movie (don't really care to be honest, in my book the designer did a good job with the set regardless). I thought the movie was ok, I enjoyed The Winter Soldier more though.

Wow, those battle packs are pretty pricey in some countries... 149 NOK / 14.99 EURO in NL...

What? Those are perfectly fine Stormtroopers! They could make a SW CMF line and it would probably be awesome. Don't think they ever will though.

At that price point I think mostly only hardcore collectors will be interested. The price will probably drop. Personally I wouldn't pay more than 5 EURO for it. -

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
LegoFjotten replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
No, there are retail exclusive sets in other countries too. They might not line up exactly with the US retail exclusive sets though. Afaik, the latest MTT was a TRU exclusive in Norway, while Hydra Fortress Smash, Brainiac Attack and Raptor Escape were only available at S@H. I think Anakin's Custom Starfighter had a wider release. -
I think we were all too well-behaved to try to take pictures, and there wasn't really much one could see anyway.

Is this the Avengers game / Silver Centurion we are talking about? Gamestop in Norway (at least in my area) had the separate polybags too. -

Indeed! I stopped by two GameStop locations today; The first one had one Silver Centurion left which I bought for about 10 Euro, the second had a Silver Centurion + a Plastic Man which I got for free. -

Finally managed to build something... phew! Quickly packed it away so I wouldn't have to look at it again before leaving. Now I can (hopefully) relax the rest of the evening and finish packing. Getting up early tomorrow for the ferry to Denmark. See you all soon! -
Wait, it has BOTH a sword AND a pickaxe?
