Hmm yeah. I like the Falcon, and Rey's speeder doesn't look to bad. I will probably pick up some of these sets when I find a good sale, but it will be mostly for the figs. One thing I think deserves mention though, there is a good amount of First Order troopers / officers / pilots in those 4 FO sets. Pretty good start for a diverse army for once.

Cool, finally some photos! Not lining up to buy the Snowspeeder just yet, but still somewhat interesting... maybe seeing the movie will spark an interest in this.

Thanks for the frontpage!

Thank's again for all your nice comments! The deadline isn't until sunday, and it will probably take a week or two before the results are in. Will just have to wait and see...

REVIEW: 71010 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14
LegoFjotten replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for the great review! I like this series, the distribution leaves something to be desired though. Wish they would either drop having 5 of the same figs per box (in favour of having more figs with 4) or do a better job on picking figs suitable for army building. -
There was a size limit of 32x32 (or equivalent) for the competition, so no space for a ship unfortunately. Just imagine it is anchored out of view. :D

Thank you for all your nice comments, glad you liked it! I've added the other pictures and full story to the first post.

This is my first Pirates MOC, it was built for a competition at the Norwegian LUG Brikkelauget. The dreaded washing tub pirates are raiding the fort while they are loading their valuables into the treasury. Captain "Black tooth" Gonzalez and his washing tub pirates in full on attack mode! Many claim that the only reason he uses washing tubs is that he can't afford a proper ship, although he has repeatedly stated he prefers washing tubs for strategic and tactical reasons. As usual, the merchant Carl (nicknamed Carl the coward by the locals), hides in one of his barrels. Marcel the Monkey quickly climbs up to cut down the treasure being lifted into the fort. "Quick draw" Carl puts up a fight on the roof. One of the pirates is caught off guard when one of the local working girls for once doesn't sell herself cheap... Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
LegoFjotten replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think you saw correctly the first time. The Winter Soldier was listed as a promo at the start of August, I ordered the new Big Bang Theory set, and the order and receipt includes BOTH the friends set and the winter soldier. Then the promo disappeared from S@H for a day or two, I assumed they ran out of stock very quickly, but now the promo is back... So if anyone still haven't gotten their Winter Soldier yet, go for it. The promo lasts until August 15th (unless they run out of course...). Edit: Oh, and if you placed an order and only got the friends promo, I'd call customer service! -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
LegoFjotten replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I do hope you are right about duplicates, but I think if the set calls for it they will repeat a character without thinking too much of it. Licensed sets doesn't have a stellar track record with duplication overall. SW hasn't been too bad (except for maybe R2), but LotR, Indiana Jones, PotC, Superheroes... yikes! -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
LegoFjotten replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I believe it's more hoping that Luke will be in the set. Vader is a pretty key character in that scene (more so than Lando & the Ugnaughts), so IMO he is the most logical villain to go in the set. I can't see them making a freezing chamber set without a bad guy, so it would be either Vader or a Stormtrooper. I think Leia is more significant to the scene than Lando (even though I personally probably want a new Lando more than a new Leia). I will be disappointed if 3 out of 4 figs are repeats though. We still don't know if there will be more Bespin sets either, we can only hope... -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
LegoFjotten replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A Cloud City set... mind boggling! Fingers crossed for new versions of Luke, Lando and Leia... Only thing that makes me a bit nervous is that there are so many existing figs that set can be filled with. Less stoked for another Vader, Chewie, C-3PO, Boba Fett, Han Solo, Stormtroopers, Imperial Officer, Lobot... -
Very nice work!

Oh come on... Read the last few posts for context before jumping to the wrong conclusions.
-
Exactly. A large UCS/D2C playset should offer something that couldn't/wouldn't be done as a collection of smaller sets.
-
I'm not convinced that the video shows the actual UCS set. It would be very unlike TLG to slip up and reveal an UCS set by accident in an animated video, and what the video shows doesn't exactly scream UCS... (IMO). On the flip side, not sure exactly how they could turn Echo Base into a great UCS set at a reasonable price point, fingers crossed they come up with something amazing.

LegoFjotten replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Wow, that looks pretty neat! Might have to get this one. -
Hmm, not too sure what I think about that... Did like the yellow wampa sign in the control room though!

Might not be the correct thread for it, but just noticed that the second SW poster (Episode V) was available in the norwegian S@H now. Free with any SW purchase. It will be available 8-14 june.

Is Millenium Falcon 7965 still the one to get?
LegoFjotten replied to grevens's topic in LEGO Star Wars
If you want a Falcon and can get a mint NISB 7965 for less than half-price, go for it I say. Chances are you you will be able to build it, enjoy it, and get your money back if the new one turns out to be more to your liking.
