  1. I thought the 8070 was a really unique and great model. I know I had fun building it and it looks great.
  2. Very Cook Rock Climber! Looks very lightweight. But Like Paul had said yesterday. This new Lego set is going to more than likely be a large one at the price that we are seeing. It is going to be very interesting to see what the designers at Lego have come up with.
  3. LOL. Looks like this thread got cracked in less then 24 hours.
  4. Obviously there is a lot of weight on the drive train, but it looks fantastic.
  5. People aren't talking about a rock crawler because they actually want one(well I am sure actually a lot of people would like to see one well made) there is a rumor that the 2012 flagship is in fact a rock crawler and we were discussing what steps Lego might be taking to make this successful.
  6. If you are looking for any car ideas, check out crowkiller's site. cars are pretty much all he builds.
  7. That is a very good point allanp. I have watched many of those trial truck videos and noticed that many parts break, which is to be expected as you are basically pushing legos past their limitations. And as Paul said, the regular power functions motors won't last long under even moderate strain. Hard to see TLC releasing something that could have potential problems. You call something a "rock crawler" and you RC it, then you better expect that people will try to do just that, try to crawl over rocks.
  8. Here is one that definitely looks fishy and has all of the traits described by technixcc. seller is from vietnam. 8110 for $159.99 Brand New for $139.99??? with free shipping???
  9. Most of These auctions with these great prices and free shipping are being sold by what looks to be legit sellers with 100% feedback. There are a few brand new members selling though too.
  10. Paul, I noticed that most of the sellers that are selling the unimogs cheap are not located in the U.S. but in other countries, but the item location is in the U.S. Hmm.
  11. I started to build the car in yellow as well. unfortunately there are a few pieces that don't exist in yellow.
  12. Very Cool!
  13. Wow. This is a really great design. I have seen people move the reverse to that side, but the gearing was similar to 5th gear. Now we just need to see a video of the all wheel drive transmission in action to see if it lives up to it's predecessor.
  14. How exactly does that transmission work? I've never seen anything like that.
  15. That revolving gif is mesmerizing if you just stare at the shifter.
  16. Is it normal for a German seller to charge $15 to ship 10 black bushings? How can shipping be 4x the price of the product? Ugh.
  17. I see that Blakbird has some new renders up of this model. Is there a chance that instructions may follow? Blakbird, have you built this model yet? I am assuming yes?
  18. Hopefully Lego will release a short black panel soon to complement the large one from the 8081 set.
  19. NICE! They couldn't get away with that here in the states. Women would be burning Lego left and right in protest. Th smell of molten ABS would linger for miles.
  20. Man would I love to get that kit. Sure would save a lot of time hunting for the right parts.
  21. Well Erik, Milan outed 4 of us for not being MOCers and basically said that our opinions don't matter because of out lack of producing MOCs and that is the reason why we would prefer HQ instructions. Now that is just pure nonsense. Milan is the one taking pokes here. And to tell you the truth, I think it is more of a jealousy issue than anything else. I also remember Milan complaining over the selling of instructions that Blakbird did for Paul's Gallardo model. It is like a broken record here.
  22. Why wouldn't you ask for some compensation if you spent so much time? $15 for a 208 page instruction file doesn't seem very unreasonable at all.
  23. Personally I always thought the 8880 car was kind of ugly and unrealistic.
