  1. This I can most certainly agree with. It seems to be that flex axles are often abused in MOC models and also used in quite unorthodox ways in order to achieve the builders goal which to me seems like you said "too easy".
  2. I think Paul is right on the money here with buying sets for parts when they are on sale or even better yet buy 2 get 90 percent off! Wow, how did I miss that???
  3. Those pretty darn cool. I have always been against painting parts, but for wheels that look like that, I will make an exception. I would like to know what kind of prices he was charged for chroming those and how long it takes to get them done and back. Paul could you please give us the scoop? Offtopic: I see a new video for a new car.
  4. Bricksonwheels That is more SNOT(Studs Not On Top) I think this topic is more on Studded Technic Parts Vs Studless Technic Parts. I feel that studless technic building is more difficult than studded where as you can just add or subtract a plate to make things work. Studless seems like it requires more planing. I am no expert builder by any means so take my thoughts with a grain of salt.
  5. Yeah, I believe he is a Corvette Centennial Sting Ray concept in the Michael Bay movies. Definitely a great rendition of the classic Sideswipe from the Cartoons.
  6. This thread has over 2,000 views already?
  7. Yes, more pics are a must. Looks like it has much potential. someone did a new style Camaro a few years ago. I believe it was crowkillers.
  8. I thought that TLC had people test out building the new sets for quality assurance? 2 flawed flagships in a row?
  9. Not cool thing for him to do. He must have pulled it from his bricklink store. It doesn't appear to be for sale anymore.
  10. I really like this one too. It would be neat to see an all technic version of this great MOC.
  11. That is definitely the same person from here that is selling the model. He has the same name and is using the same exact picture for his bricklink avatar.
  12. Log into your brickshelf account and click on the picture icon and then click on the picture and then copy and paste the link in the address bar and then click on the insert image icon here on the message box tools(to the right of the smiley face) and then paste that link into it. I think this is how you do it.
  13. I would have to guess no. I think crowkillers did a mustang before.
  14. They must meant axles that you can't get to from the other side, like if you build yourself into a jam.
  15. Gimmicks is their way of saying functions. After all Gimmick means unique feature.
  16. I think I would much prefer to build the Gallardo or Murcielago in Orange if it is ever possible. I have the Gallardo built in Red and it is a well thought out design and looks really cool from all angles.
  17. So in other words this flawed setup is no good then? I was trying to find something compact that could be used for an all wheel drive project. I am not looking to motorize it or anything, so there wouldn't be any high levels of torque being placed on any gears.
  18. I have been looking for ideas for a basic car project with the kids and I came across this setup, but I am not sure exactly what is going on here, or if in fact this design works. What I would think would be a simplistic 4 speed design appears to be more complicated than it should be. LINK
  19. I was wondering about that as well since there appears to be bevel gears used in both the top and bottom. That would make 2nd and 3rd the same. Right? Still, Nice Car!
  20. Sheepo, this may seem like a stupid question, but can this model actually move? I know that it is carrying a good bit of weight and I know that weight + dozens of plastic Lego gears don't get along too well.
  21. make sure that you don't have an axle going through and axle hole rather than a regular hole. My boy a mistake like this when he was building it. Or possibly a 16 tooth gear is supposed to be a 16 tooth clutch gear mix up?
  22. Article’s next part will include the transmission system, where I’ll show the real technical advance compared to any other technic MOC. Everything will be completely new and different to anything you’ve seen before… That is a very bold statement to make. I am sure many eyes will be focused on this New Technology.
  23. Wow, this is really something special. Great job Sheepo.
