  1. Here are some pictures of the parts list with the numbers.
  2. You're welcome Paul. I was more than happy to give it a review as I felt this model is your best outing to date and deserved to have an advanced form of critique in a full review. It is truly a fantastic model and I would encourage anyone to give this model a try especially if they love to build cars because you did some really awesome unique things with this new model that could inspire both advanced and new builders.
  3. I would think the error would be with the shock absorbers being on only one side of the suspension arms and only being supported by pins with no support on the other side. You are not going to get even compression from the shocks like that. This would work well with a small model, but obviously this type of suspension would be used on a large vehicle. Also, when this module gets weight from a frame and body built around it, I could see the #1 connectors working themselves loose when it is steered from side to side. I do think this is a really great suspension idea and fantastic use of those parts.
  4. Maybe the bandwidth limit was exceeded?
  5. I don't think the Crawler would use anything like that. I think there may be too much room for error. That is a really great and unique idea though.
  6. Finished my copy of Paul's amazing Vampire GT! I changed a few colors in various places like having a black rear spoiler, the seat colors, the exhaust tips, obviously I do not have any custom chromed wheels, but I have decided to use Paul's supplier and send some away because they do look so much better than the standard Lego ones. I think that I'll write a small review on what I think of this new model from the one known as "crowkillers" This is my first review, so please don't be too critical. The build begins with everyone's favorite part, the chassis. This model has a very unique fresh chassis unlike any car that I have ever built before because of the new gearbox that Paul designed along with the flawless and very simple switch that alters the car to have all wheel drive or just rear wheel drive. This transmission works much much better than the old 5 speed+R gearboxes that we have come accustomed to in previous models from Lego and it only takes up 6 studs between the seats which is very compact and perfect for a model of this scale and the gearing is built into the bottom of the chassis. In my honest opinion, if Lego decides to bring out another Supercar in the future, they should borrow this design because it really does work extremely well. The power plant is a rear mounted V10 engine. The steering also works very smooth with both the H.O.G. and the wheel in the car. I did notice that due to how the suspension is setup that the hub arm doesn't steer quite as far to make as tight of a circle as it normally would without this type of suspension, but is hardy noticeable and like I said works very smoothly. The suspension is also a marvel the way that it is designed and is built into a very sturdy chassis. I think Paul mentioned somewhere that he used a similar setup before. This type of suspension also works well considering that there are over 1,900 parts in this model. It actually doesn't feel heavy for containing that amount of pieces, but then again, most of the parts that make up the count are very small ones. Building the body on this car took me longer to do than building the chassis. There are A LOT of parts in it, but without all of those parts, the model wouldn't look this good. It is one thing to gawk at the pictures, but to actually see this model in front of you and gaze at it's beauty is another. There are numerous techniques used to make up the angles in this model that I would have never thought of and they all are done appropriately as nothing is forced or bent in odds ways to make parts fit. The doors of this car are AWESOME. Paul did an outstanding job creating the angles to perfectly fit and the simple mechanism that opens them is also done perfectly. You open up the rear bonnet and simply turn a small gear clockwise to open and counter clockwise to close and since he used worm gears to open and close each door, they stay exactly where you want them. Now for some Pro's and Con's Pro's Outstanding Drive train. Beautiful Appearance. Smooth Steering. Suspension Works Great. Doors Open and Close Magnificently. Instructions are well worth $12. Con's Black Version has parts that are Rare and near impossible to find. Some parts of the instructions are confusing especially if you are a novice to Lego Technic mostly due to the "Where in the heck does this part go?" factor. The rear end looks good, but not so good when comparing to how good the front looks. Build Time: 9 to 12 hours if you have the parts on hand The model is a Great display piece, especially with the doors open. Overall, I would give the model a healthy 9.25/10
  7. I'd say that about 95 percent of those colored parts do not exist. Wish they did though. Agree, the blue one looks the best. I also think the Red version of the car looks much much better with the chassis in black. That is the color that I built it in. I am also building the car in Red and going to make the spoiler black.
  8. Thanks for the update Paul. I got the revised instructions this morning. I have to admit, I didn't even notice the errors. I didn't build the rear though.
  9. I see the updated file is up not that it was really a big deal or anything. I just can't wait for the parts that I need to finish this. Has anyone completed it yet?
  10. I got an e-mail from Paul earlier that there was a red 2l axle missing on page 28 of both of the Vampire Instructions. I instinctively put it in without even realizing that it wasn't there in the instructions. He also said that revised instructions would be replaced sometime today and that the small error would be fixed.
  11. Agree! I am waiting on parts to finish the deluxe supercar and I got the vampire instructions yesterday. I already had the chassis somewhat built from his older pictures posted, but I had made a few errors and corrected them. This new chassis really works fantastic. I just hope that I can collect all of the black parts for the body. I will probably have to replace the long black flex axles with another color as they are impossible to find. You know, when looking at what some people are charging for instructions for small models on Ebay, $12 and $10 for these huge high quality ones are a steal. Some people are charging $25 for a just small 400 piece auto. I never realized how many people sell instructions and what they are charging and more so, the number of people that are paying.
  12. Well, there are the final missing components for the Vampire GT I see it too in light gray. This is also showing the old style traingular connectors. I though these were changed?
  13. I already have the chassis built. There are some very unique building techniques used. I too am waiting for some oddball parts that I had to order. Now where are those Vampire Instructions???
  14. I see there are instructions now available for this beautiful model for a very reasonable 10 bucks.
  15. It certainly is nice to see great builders giving respect to each other.
  16. It's nice to see that you are not too over confident in your work.
  17. I suppose it is very good, but as you said, isn't 100% Lego and has modified parts. I also don't care for MOCs that have printed stickers all over them, but that is just my opinion.
  18. What are those bands wrapped around the tires? Nice MOC by the way.
  19. I think the tires are "Rubbish" only if the model you are building over them is much too heavy.
  20. I love this idea!
  21. According to crowkiller's website the instructions will be ready Jan. 20th. His other Supercar also has a release date of the 18th.
  22. Is this an early April fools joke?
  23. Meh. I'll pass on this one. I would much rather see a large scale model.
  24. The 9397 is the early sub flagship much like the 8070 Supercar was last year, but the Crawler Truck will be the main Flagship set.
