Where's the BLUE?
Meatman replied to gmshades's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Blue would be awesome! It seems as this has been a year that has seen a nice return of Black elements. 9395, 9397, 9398 -
Why no gearbox in current sets?
Meatman replied to mobi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'm not saying that it is realistic, but it is just as complex. Say the 8070 had a gearbox similar to that of the 8448, then people would have been complaining that it didn't bring anything new to the table and used the same old features. I personally would have liked to see a functioning steering wheel in it. I remember back when Lego steering wheels actually worked. I see all of the MOCs by other builders who seem to have no trouble incorporating a working steering wheel into their car models and it doesn't look like they are spending a fortune doing so. I only say this because I understand that Lego designs their models on a budget. -

If you really think about it, the gearbox in the 8070 was just as complex than the ones in the older supercars. -
Looks like Paul did it again...
Meatman replied to Kronos's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Are there any possibilities of instructions in the future? I guess most of it could just be built from the pictures. Could this be done in Yellow do you think? -
Lego Seats
Meatman replied to 88high's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
What is the space between your seats when using the 4 speed as opposed to using a 5+R? Only 5 studs width? -

Wow. Definitely looking forward to some more pics of this. The rear end looks great too. Doesn't look like there are any seats in it. Must be early pictures. -

Cuusoo support for the Vampire GT
Meatman replied to mo_'s topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Paul, I don't know if you know or not, but your Vampire GT made it onto dudeiwantthat.com this is great news! It would have helped you more if they would have put a link to your cuusoo project. -

300 Supports is positive. I think that you are really going to have to reach out to get 10,000 Paul. Do you think that it is possible? -

A full blown Technic Charity Auction?!? How cool is that? This is sure to raise a lot of money for a good cause. Good for you Paul. I hope your design comes through on Cuusoo. -

I have my own Red Version built, but I would absolutely love to see this Black model as a set. Not to mention having all of those rare Black parts again! I don't even know what minecraft is. -
Muscle car
Meatman replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Cool little car! -
No way that is real. If Lego would have used his design, they would have most certainly made new replica Lamborghini wheels or wheel covers for it and also applied Lamborghini stickers. Paul(or someone) should have submitted this to that C U U S O O website a long time ago. I can honestly see this possibly getting 10,000 votes. It would be a very solid entry in my opinion.

Here is another one at TechnicBricks. Taking advantage of TLG's recent license with Lamborghini, which gave us some fantastic Racers models, LEGO Direct decided to partner with the LEGO Technic Designers team, the LEGO Racers Marketing Manager (formerly also at LEGO Technic as you might remember) and one of the best Technic fan builders, yes Paul Boratko (Crowkillers), to release an exclusive model based on his own design from the Lamborghini Murciélago.

Vampire GT

What I actually meant was the entire rear end of the car. It just doesn't look like it flows right. -
Vampire GT
Meatman replied to Kronos's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It looks like they changed it up a bit thinking that it would look better by adding their own flair, but I think it doesn't look as good as the original. I did see pictures of this exact model on Brickshelf, but the builder must have taken them down. -

Awesome model and built so fast! If I could offer one very small critique on it, it would be the headlamps as they are one of the signature points on the real car. Otherwise it is Great! -

camaro365, those parts you used actually look really good! Definitely going to order up some! Thanks for posting the picture. Paul you should consider offering this alternative solution on your website.
