  1. And it even looks better in S16. The baby in the set is blank white.
  2. The Ice Queen is gorgeous. Absolutely wonderful. Devil costume is incredibly disappointing, but the cutesy bucket will go nicely with the Skeleton Guy's. FINALLY we get a new hood! The Cyborg is lovely. I'm quite pleased with her. The banana sticker is a nice idea, but unnecessary, and the green t-shirt isn't ideal. The Mariachi's guitar looks very nice indeed. Penguin suit will be nice to have. Pirate's hair is interesting. And the Babysitter looks nice. Still waiting for the Spooky Boy.
  3. I can see Minnie's skirt for a Fifties Girl wearing a poodle skirt, but it's too big to replace the cloth skirts outright.
  4. I would like the restaurant HQ. These Ghostbusters won't have to use the "last of the petty cash" to get their Chinese food!
  5. Whoops, I meant "good." I do like the idea of the ghosts assembling in order instead of individuals wreaking havoc, and the designs are cool and look great even though it's painfully CG. The trailer didn't show us anything providing context for the set, though.
  6. Doesn't seem like there's much set potential. The most memorable ghost was the really tall one. Effects look cool but not necessarily goose. Disliking the film is no reason to avoid a good set, though.
  7. Well, to be honest, none of us are really supposed to know anything before official release. But we do, and we risk it by discussing it. These days, there are no secrets, but LEGO should understand that by not punishing us for knowing something. It's their issue that they need to sort out.
  8. It's actually a new face print, but it's very similar.
  9. It's new without printing, but also appears in the Batcave this year.
  10. Hmm... let me see... 1. Snow White 2. Mad Hatter 3. Queen of Hearts 4. Old Hag 5. Cruella de Vil 6. Jafar 7. Steamboat Willie 8. Woody 9. Jack Skellington 10. Sally 11. Pinocchio 12. Jasmine 13. Jiminy Cricket 14. Mary Poppins 15. Joy 16. Sadness 17. Elastigirl 18. Violet
  11. The TARDIS will have all-directional laser beams, but apparently it doesn't apply to all laser vehicles.
  12. Since the Doctor Who theme has no connection to the CMF line, it seems incredibly unlikely to be this D2C, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were one later.
  13. It is Wayne Tower, and I got the gold brick with the Laser-Pulse TARDIS.
  14. I know it's wishful thinking, but logically, that has zero ties to the minifigures already seen, and I don't think the film has a wide enough audience to sell the set. However, I'm going to be cautious about being excited for a castle, either. The last two D2Cs revealed have been disappointments, and the presumed subject matter would lend itself unfortunately well to a facade-style structure, leaving plenty of room for letdown.
  15. Favorite figure is Ursula, and, I'm surprised to say, the Cheshire Cat may be a close second. Other tops are Aladdin, Alice, and Ariel. (Does that mean they all get an "A" from me?)
  16. Agreed. While it would have decreased the usability of the head, the effect would be much nicer, giving Genie a proper chin and ear proportions.
  17. A shark costume is not enough to call for legal action, so I expect dismissal pretty quickly. And in no way does it insult the Super Bowl performance, it's sort of a compliment for it to have made its mark on pop culture. Perhaps Taylor Swift won't be the only one to have "bad blood" with Katy Perry...
  18. Probably a false rumor/deliberate trolling somewhere down the line then.
  19. Bombadil's been in the games, so I don't see why not. I thought he was a later cut from the film, so he had a licensed design.
  20. Was it? I haven't heard anything about a recall.
  21. It doesn't have to be; there have been ABS hairpieces with pinholes, too, like the braided hair, Calamity Drone hair, and pigtails. Cheshire's tail will be rubber, and Hook's headgear and maybe Stitch's head look like a likely candidates.
  22. I don't understand your molded-head logic. The nonhumans still have human heads, and they aren't incredibly exaggerated. Genie with a molded head might not be much better, since it would probably be oversized. And to those saying Bob looks like Dash, that's to be expected. He's his father. Syndrome was a nice choice for a pair, since he's the film's antagonist, but I hope to see the rest of the hero family, Frozone, and Edna. I think I spoke too soon yesterday, so here are my more thought-out opinions. Maleficent: Seeing as her robe is all black, the printing is obviously subtle, but it still looks sorta dull. The face still feels too cut-off by the shaping. The horns are excellent. Syndrome: The face is a bit goofy, but then, so is Syndrome. A very accurate figure, and a nice product. Alice: I want to love her, but feel that the hairpiece exposes far too much of the head. Being a favorite book of mine, I'll need her, but I'm not sold on the neck up. Buzz: Simply put, the face loses its effectiveness by being a minifigure. Buzz and Woody are toys, and should be exceptions to the standard-head rule to fully look proper. Hook: That hat/hair piece is excellently molded, and a new hook is nice, but the face is just not right. Genie: The head just doesn't work. The ears look too long, and the piece doesn't blend well. I'd love a Robin Williams minifigure, but this isn't doing it for me. Cheshire Cat: While I can't say I like this design (Burton's was one thing the film got right), it's still colorful and wacky and looks surprisingly good for a bipedal version. Ursula: Still my number-one favorite, combining my love for octopi and witches, and the molded torso incorporated into the legs is just the icing on the cake.
  23. Alice will probably have regular legs, since her cloth skirt needs to be detailed enough. Half of me hopes she'd have super-tall legs, too, to show the effects of the bottle.
  24. What do you mean? As far as I can see, there isn't one.
