Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

I suppose, but this is the first to use the "white" flesh tone, and on more figures. It just feels more like one since the Simpsons were mostly yellow.- 4,155 replies

Silver dress and all! I'm just hoping that the (presumably high) price tag will be able to create a decently complete model, whatever it is.

I don't know why it took so long for me to notice, but this is our first fleshy CMF series! Elastigirl might have one of the longer Woody-sized arms (if the mold still exists), but Bob is too small to use a bigfig body.- 4,155 replies

I don't think they'd make the Disney mascots into costumed minifigures. The Disney Parks are really serious about keeping the magic alive. But one of the castles definitely seems to be the subject matter.

Okay, so other things I see: Barney from the Simpsons (not a likely playable, so maybe an NPC in an update?) Tom Bombadil- Actually might be playable for the plant-growing ability. I don't know what the SPYHUNTERSPY is. Okay, this is the second time I've heard of the Ood being in this game. Where are they?

I'm disappointed by the current lack of Missy. She needs to be playable. River will most likely reuse the Banshee's hair.

I second the motion. The next series should have Snow White, ideally both forms of the Evil Queen, but the Old Hag is my choice, and a dwarf.

None this year, though it might pick up again next year.

Well, I got Maleficent and Ursula right, but I'm only pleased with the latter.

I don't think so. It's clearly Genie's hair and ears, and I don't think the piece could be designed with anyone else in mind.- 4,155 replies

Hmmm. Some of them are clearly NPCs, but others may be playable in the future. Vitruvius, for one, hasn't been seen, and would be great to have as playable.

There must be at least one more series in the works; they've barely scratched the surface with this series and a few counterparts are missing. I just found new appreciation for the Cat minifigure: This way, you can have only his head in the scene!- 4,155 replies

Perhaps my impression isn't entirely accurate and HD full-body shots will improve my opinion, but this is just a "good" series to me. I'll gladly take two new sorceresses, and I hope for Snow White's in the next series. They pulled a mean trick by giving Aladdin and Genie the same accessory, so bag-feelers will need to be more thorough.- 4,155 replies

Just her, it's probably a projection from the tentacles that her torso sits behind. They had to include her voluptuous figure!- 4,155 replies

Uhhhh....I'm not sure about these. Ursula looks great (love the new tentacles), but some of these look so awkward with regular heads, especially Buzz and Hook. * Donald and Daisy: Are just horrifying. * Alice: The hair looks good, but her face is odd. * Maleficent: The attempted face shaping is terrible. What a shame. * Syndrome looks all right, I guess. * Aladdin: He looks great, though! The hair is really nice. * Hook: Just creepy. * Stitch: No complaints, just don't care for the character. * Cheshire Cat: Why? He's not even bipedal! The face is right, though. * Mr. Incredible: I like the memorabilia, but he's sort of boring. * Alien: Would have liked something new. * Mickey and Minnie are alright, and I like the new skirt. Creepy smiles aside. * Peter Pan: looks nice, I might get him. * Genie: Well, that piece is interesting. Too plain, though. * Ursula: My favorite. The hair is great, as are the tentacles, and it looks really nice. * Ariel: We really needed an ABS alternative to her hair? Again, the face is odd, but the tail is nice. Overall, this series just feels off. The faces aren't well suited for minifigure heads, but the new pieces are really nice. EDIT: Wait a minute. Ursula's tail piece includes a 3D belly in front! Look at the lighting!- 4,155 replies

But the media doesn't justify it, in my opinion. A straight book adaptation, sure, but Dimensions is all based on pre-existing sources. I'd like it, but Zeus probably is just a project name. Also, I know we need official confirmation, but, really, what else could E.T. be other than the movie itself?

Percy Jackson isn't marketable enough. The series is over (though still alive in newer books), and the movies were awful even on their own, so I doubt any Riordan material will see time in LEGO's hands.

What an odd promotion. A rereleased figure that's an odd choice (wouldn't the Bunny Suit Guy be a better choice) and nothing else.

Is that the name of the next wave or is there a mythology thing? Also, HP confirmation is great!
