[WIP] Ford GTHO Phase 3
Doc_Brown replied to Doc_Brown's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I've basically had to restart the chassis from scratch. Is that the old red one with blue seats? I have no idea how that gearbox goes. haha When i get a chance i will check it out. Thanks. -

Looking fantastic! Whats left to do? -
Hi Owen, and welcome! Now could you please move to Qld so we can start a 30 something Technic club. Just kidding. I have an interest in GBC modules as well, just don't know where to start.

That sounds great! looking forward to it!. If you need some detailed pics of the HPI E firestorm let me know. They are awesome trucks, mines 5 years old now, and I drove it into a concrete wall, cracked in half! With a little fixing still goes hard! Looking forward to these other beasts as well! Random "US" question, whats the highest octane you can get from the pump for petrol (gas) Cheers.

Great truck man! I'm sorry too that it didn't work out, but these things always help with planing on your next moc. -
[MOC] Just another Tatra
Doc_Brown replied to Doc_Brown's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for the nice comments and feedback guys. I agree, with diff lock, but that is for my next Tatra! I'm not too sure actually, I picked mine up from 4 diff sellers on BL, quite cheap. I just thought they look sweet! and very much like a Trial truck. hehe -
[MOC] Just another Tatra
Doc_Brown replied to Doc_Brown's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
its located between the the servo and Xls, if you look at the chassis pic, you can just see a red lever, thats the on off. Standard battery box was used. Not very well!!! If you can see how to improve it, im all ears! And thanks. Thank you very much! I was unsure how much of a cab I could make with the blue that I had. -

[MOC] Just another Tatra
Doc_Brown replied to Doc_Brown's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Oh thanks for the great feedback guys. Cheers! I had to use 2 together cos the axles are offset, and thats the only way to able both wheels to turn the same radius. Yes I'm using V2, and no I haven't modded the thermal settings on the battery box. Generally I don't have too much of a problem with that, but with my hot rod geared 1:3 if I drove forwards backwards 3 times it would stall. With this Tatra if a "tire" got caught in between the wheels, it would stall. Thank you very much. -

hehe, I can see your nuts! Cool machine. -
Hello everyone, Thought I would share my quick build Tatra to test my asymmetrical half axle setup. Turned out to be quite good surprisingly. The body work was very quickly built, inspired more by the shape of the Tatra T813. Specs: 20cm (H) x 20cm (W) x 38cm (L) Weight 1.910kg 2 x XL for Drive 1x Servo for Steering I also wanted to make it blue, and colourful just like the trial trucks.

[MOC] 60's Crawler
Doc_Brown replied to astakos's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
There is always room for one more crawler! This is pretty good! I really like the look of it, the camera helps give a matt black styling. The tires are awesome and the bodywork is great! It seems to have good articulation as well. I checked your youtube channel, but couldn't see a video, will there be one soon? -
This is just too amazing! Wonder what prices will be in Australia, if ever gets here....
