  1. I doubt there are any instructions for actually using the software. Software works similary to Boost app: upon starting it, you enter 3d animated space themed interface. There you can select several activities, like playing games building semi autonomous robots etc... After selecting activity, you enter computer generated and animated step by step instructions, which include testing hardware and various testing of functionality during build. After you complete the build, you enter program for that model, which will either drive the model by itself, or let you control it via joystick. Software is anctialy not so bad and as we can see, today both mindstorms and boost use similar concepts, only thing which is really annoying is there are a lot of animations, talking etc, whic are meant to make experience a kind of "space adventure", but after few times just make everythging slow. You can see interface here:
  2. Here: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-creator-expert-10263-winter-village-fire-station-angekuendigt/67609 Annoncement on sunday will be about this set.
  3. Something will be announced next sunday at 3PM Billund time. All information posted before that will be considered illegal/leak.
  4. I fully agree. But a lot seem to care about it, so I posted it. It will help those who are collecting "all" UCS sets, so they will not need to buy another "assault on hoth"-esque set.
  5. Just to be clear: On august 21st, TLG posted Press release on LAN and other Fan media, which included "This amazing set is part of the LEGO® Star Wars Master Builder Series." First response (that same day) on that post was ambassador from Zussamengebaut (followed by many others) asking what does "Master Builder Series" mean and is meant to replace UCS or is it new series. Two days after that, Kim came back with reply that statement is being prepared by TLG SW team and that we will get it in the middle of next week (so around 29th). Exactly one week later (on thursday, 30th), official statement was posted. My opinion is that this statement was prepared just as reaction to question, posted by ambassadors and that it was originlnly not planned to make any statements on this topic.

  7. This was just released by TLG (Kim Thomsen):
  8. Regading MasterBuilder sets: question was asked officialy on Lego Ambassador Network and Kim (formerly from Eurobricks, now admin there but also big fan of LEGO Starr Wars) said that there will be official statement about that comng next week, so we will get “official” answer. Regarding set price: he also said that proper way to value set would be by weight, taking into account number of minifigures and licensing cost. Judging just by piece count is not proper (as we saw many times). I also got information that playsets (even large ones) are very popular with children (at least in some ares, where parents could afford it), including “infamous” Hoth set, but some fans complained about using UCS label so MBS sets may be answer to that.
  9. Is there any discount for buyers of V2 instructions? :)
  10. Remember the patent? Remote can be turned: Technic variant: And other options. I hope second and third will include some sort of proprotional control.
  11. Profesionals-only fair in Milano, Italy. Set is powered by one XL motor and battery pack (of old type - no PF2.0).
  12. You want information? Here you have some: :) Courtesy of my fellow ambassador Francisco Frangioa from BrianzaLUG, who saw those at fair in Milano, Italy. He also said that connector is NOT compatible with Boost, but EV3.
  13. LEGO House is certainly worth visiting. "History Museum" in basement is kind of museum by itself. You need to buy ticket, but it's not so expensive and worth buying. While there, you could also buy rare "tree of creativity" and the other (old version) LEGO House sets. You could also visit LEGOLAND for free for last hour and a half (Legoland closes at 6PM and rides stop at 5PM, but you can enter free from 4:30 PM, maybe catch a ride or two and spend the last hour touring miniland models). How would I do it: Arrival 9:58 (checkout is very fast there) 10:15 Catch the bus to City Centre 10:30 Go to LEGO House and make the tour (5 hours should be enoug) 15:30 Go to LEGO Store in LEGO House and buy the sets 16:00 Walk to LEGOLAND (It's not far) 16:30 Enter LEGOLAND 18:00 Exit LEGOLAND and Walk to LaLandia for Lunch/Dinner 20:00 Go to Airport, Check In etc... 22:00 Depart Budget LEGO Day :)
  14. My wife used to be "soft" AFOL before we got kids, meaning that she built some sets, sorted some lego etc... Now, agreement is basicly that lego should not invade our living space too much (with two young boys, it's not always possible). She will not argue if go away on LEGO event, but in reasonable quantities (few times a year). Agreement is also to keep financial side of it under control, but that is not always possible (I do manage this by buying cheap and re-selling some if it when prices rise). All in all we do ok ok on this matter, but regardless of it, lego "case" may come "out" if we argue about something, especialy if affects my family obligation in some way (this year we had two big events in two following weekends and about a moonth befoe I spent preparing for it, so my wife a bit of "downtime" for other acivities and complained a bit).
  15. It was just announced on Lego Ambassador Network that new D2C set will be presented on 26-th.
  16. FYI, LEGO just confirmed that this picture is considered a leak, so please do not post or share it. Official press release will follow in few days.
  17. End of may are LEGO Fan Media Days in Billund. Sets should be available for media to see and ask about then.
  18. I'm pretty sure that we will see partial presentations of new sets in months before start of sale. Typical case of this new approach is how they handled new Speed Champions sets. That way each sets get it's fair share of attention. And, if not before, most sets should be up for thorough "inspection" at LEGO Fan Media day in Billund, end of may.
  19. Germany is big country (at least for europe), which means that people can go to many places and still pass with speaking just german and german is also spoken in switzerland and austria and many countries which have been under the influence of one of german speaking countries, so yeah, its still fairly common to meet someone who will not (either don't know to or don't want to) speakenglish. Similar is in France (even more so) or Italy. In all other, smaller countries (including Denmark), a big mjority of people speak english (at least from my experience) and even more so in Billund, which a home of such international company as LEGO (with LEGO as official languge) and many tourists visiting LEGOLAND.
  20. If I understood correctly, embargo on press release should be lifted at 5PM Billund time (in two hours).
  21. Press release will be out in few hours.
  22. Already making plans for double/quadruple version, eh? ;)
  23. This is official info from Kim Thomsen from LEGO community engagement team.
  24. There will be official announcment in "about a week". There is no indication whether currently discussed picture is officialy considered a "leak" and no special mentioning of it, expect general statement that fan media shoud avoid posting fake (or real) pictures from non-official sources. All other january stuff has been makred as "ok to post".
