I agree. As on option which can be set by the user or not it would be useful in some cases, but I also see the problem of reconnecting. Perhaps you could set a timeslot in the hub, when reconnecting is tried, i.E. each 5 sec. But in any way this means that the hub has to be configured in any way, which it is not on the moment. BTW: I drive my locos only on exhibitions (no layout at home), but I always accompany them to avoid crashes

You think that is an improvenmnt, to me it would be horrible. So the must useful would be to send a command for a watchdog time. Like on SBrick (which doesn't work properly) The first hub which does this (not with python, but something like SCRATCH) is already available. Other promised enhancements (like controller, using more hardware, connecting to multiple hubs and so on) have aleady been implemented.

Hi Thorsten, The two biggest(?) german communities are LUGs and have an ambassador as a representativ. And the posts there (and here as well) are public. So you could have many of these informations even without logging in. So it is not that "closed" as it might look like. Here are some links: https://brickset.com/article/43897/powered-up-presentation https://www.1000steine.de/de/gemeinschaft/forum/?entry=1&id=426445#id426445

Hi Thorsten, Most informations are spread via the LAN, as usual. So if you are member of a LUG your ambassador can give you these informations. There were several events last year: LEGO Fan Media Days 2019: Oliver Wallington and Gaute Munch answered to users. There was a long presentation (which is public on the net) of the technic componentes and the complete architecture of the platform. Deep information was given during the PoweredUp-Workshop in Skaerbaek Septempber 2019. Within the LAN there is a working group. On 12th of December 2019 Sara Skahill asked for feedback concernig Powered Up and ideas to improve the system, answers will be shared via the ambassadors.

All this functionality is annouced by the LEGO developers. micro Python -> load to hub -> save -> execute (as the large hub does already) configuring handheld -> load to hub -> save -> execute Control+ is the name of the app for specific technic modell sets. I think I never read about "Control+ "-Hardware. The hub calls itself "technic hub", if I remember correctly. 3.0 is the version of the Powered Up App, which can connect to up to four hubs

[APP] BrickController2

Two common reasons: the motors are not exactly and properly connected in the correct(!) ports to the Hubs, or Power On sequence is wrong.- 1,310 replies

Custom controls for up to 4 trains in the Powered Up app
Lok24 replied to kbalage's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I think this is only because the option "connect automatically" ist buggy, especially if you have more than one hub. Having only one sometimes it connects when turning on, in most cases yot have to tap on "connect" in the BT dialog , sometimes you only have to invke the BT dialog without tapping on "connect" -
Custom controls for up to 4 trains in the Powered Up app
Lok24 replied to kbalage's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thanks. On exhibitions it is quite normal that you lose connetion to the engines because you are to far away. That is why I use some python solutions there which automatically reconnect. But I'm looking for a solution with my App-Prog, which is obviously very similar to yours, driving 1to 4 locos with multiple profiles each. -

How did you solve the problem of reconnecting to a hub? This is what i'm urgently looking for, perhaps you have an idea? -

That's why it is much easier to zip the folder ;-) -
Custom controls for up to 4 trains in the Powered Up app
Lok24 replied to kbalage's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I copuld not download because there are strange windows asking for eMail-Adress and buying something. Each "program" is just some json-fiiles in one folder . Sharing is possible via LEGO LIFE. -
Custom controls for up to 4 trains in the Powered Up app

This is my approach as well, where each loco may have different profiles to be configured. You could offer a zip file with the programm as download. -
Power Functions 2.0, how to have multiple motors on a single train?
Lok24 replied to LegoDW's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Yes, that's similar to my solution. It's no problem to do this with sliders, I can run 4 engines , and all of them can be set up with vmin, vmax, acceleration and so on http://www.werner-falkenbach.de/bricks/lokv30.zip -
Power Functions 2.0, how to have multiple motors on a single train?
Lok24 replied to LegoDW's topic in LEGO Train Tech
@LegoDW That is not new, the stores had and have only a small number of electronical parts, EV3, PF, PU. I always order via S@H or check availability in store via phone. -

Power Functions 2.0, how to have multiple motors on a single train?
Lok24 replied to LegoDW's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Yes. But here is a first idea to resolve this by using the two knobs in the middle The 1x8 plate belongs between the knobs to control the two stop buttons. It's not yet finished, just an idea .... please feel free to improve .... -
Power Functions 2.0, how to have multiple motors on a single train?
Lok24 replied to LegoDW's topic in LEGO Train Tech
1.) One hub / one motor on each port / Use App or Handheld 2.) Two Hubs / one motor on each Hub / Use App or Handheld So you got a solution, what does it mean "doesn't fit train model"? I have a program here that uses the slider and can control up to 4 engines. -
