  1. Hi, b.) doesn't work, the commands are always trasferred to the app. The purpose of the programm is very simple: assume a merry-go-round with a motor, then you can regulate the speed with the second motor, using it as a sensor. This is for stationary modells. Of course you still need the app running. (not with Large Hub, for other hubs this is expected: compiling a prog and load it permanently into the hub and start it without smart device) The original program has much more blocks and can be used for mobile and remote usage, setting some parameters (hub No, port no) , but didn't work, reducing to only one block showed this strange behavior. It calibrates the input motor, sets it to 0, here is a version with two hubs for mobile use, the white box is sender with the wheel and a switch for forward, reverse and stop, the technic hub is the receiver:
  2. Thanks. If SW is 3.0.0. your hub should have been automatcally updatet to 1.1.02.0000 You can easily install Brick Controller 2 App and with "devices" and "search" find out FW versions of your hubs.
  3. Thanks for testing. I tried with boost, L and XL, all the same. But not with two boost motors. Doesn't work with hub No. 4, works with move hub and technic hub. FW is 1.1.02.0000, SW is 3.0.0 As you can see there are two icons for tacho motors. You should regulate the speed of A when turning motor B by hand. According to "Power": You can set the max power per motor, but this is something different. All other icons set "speed" from -100 to 100 (percent) , which is not the real speed, cause it depends on battery voltage. The real speed can set i.e. with micro python and EV3, you can set rpm there.
  4. Yes, because I wand to control the speed Sure. Type of motor doesn't change behaviour 1.) it doesn't help 2.) as I wrote it works without problems on technic hub or move hub 3.) no matter what useless programm, motor have to stop when program is cancelled. It doesnt. 4.) Hub looses connection
  5. Hi all, there are some issues that I can't explain, perhaps someone can confirm... Here is a very small program with the poweredUp App: Running perfect on technic hub and move hub On smart hub motor starts and then moves continuously with constant v, even when program is stopped with the red button. Often connection is lost after some seconds. Spooky.
  6. Yes, for me that works brilliant (no built in BT on PC, no drivers for BT on Laptop)
  7. Hi, Brick Controller 2 can connect both at the same time. App on Smartdevice, use a GameController with BT to connect to the SmartDevice. I bought one for less than 20,-- €
  8. I'm not quite happy with names, Control+ is the LEGO-APP, the Hub calls itself (when starting) "technic Hub") But yes, we're talking about the gray box with 4 Ports..... BAP 1.5 works fine with it, I showed that on different exhibitions last year connecting: SBrick Smart Hub (2Port) technic Hub (4Port) Move Hub (from the Boost Set) All at the same time.
  9. You can use the Powered Up-App to run technic motors on the technic hub or Smart hub.
  10. Hi, some issues: 1.) Just tried to activate a WeDo Color Sensor on some Hubs: nothing The tilt sensor works. Is it just my sensor or something in the system? 2.) No technic Motor on move hub, neither Boost-App nor Powered Up-App ? 3.) Handheld connects only to one of me move hubs (both FW 2.0.00.0017), and pressing A+ moves motor C? Anyone there with similar probs?
  11. The motor drivers in the hub (LB1836M) have a max voltage of 10.5 V as far as I know
  12. The colors are obviously predefined, and you can enter %-values, as shown in the block. So the "plug"-function should deliver some numerical value to change the color accordingly.
  13. Of course you can add numbers to hub numbers. Otherwise my programs woulnd't work, as the numbers start with 0. And as you see there are three values for %-values to change color.
  14. Sure? Have a look, in the upper line you see the blocks with "plug" as input: You can use the symbol to change lights on hub. Threfore you need a value. But the value is -1, why?
  15. Yes , that's waht it shows when you enter 02|A , but if you replace A with the plug it shows -1, I found out that means "hub is not available." Otherwise it shows 0 ? But there must be values in percent?
  16. Hi, here is one technic hub, one move hub and a total of 8 motors Everything operated with the LEGO PoweredUp app V 3.0.0. With the buttons in the middle you select the hub or level (red or blue), which is then displayed in digits (1 or 2). So you have 2 sliders x 4 options = 8 motors. The LEDs of the hubs change from yellow (inactive) to red or blue.
  17. The block to choose the desired hub. Math and logic (white tab), the first block
  18. Hi all, there are amazing new functions in the math block, especially under "adv"anced But what is the idea of the plug when using the HUB connector? This should be battery level, but us displayed as -1? And : the are no string varibales (yet)? Arrays? A text field to comment something?
  19. Hi A/B/C/D are the ports of a hub To select a specifiic hub if more than one connected: - Change the level of your program to "three blocks" (expert) - select the withe tab (math and logic) - use the first block left - connect it to the motor and - set left value to hub - right number to port (you see that in my first pic in the motor block in the upper right corner)
  20. Yes, you can see a small part of the program on the tablet in pic 1. It just reads the angle of the wheel an sets it as the motor speed. And with the new release of the app you can send this to up to three hubs.
  21. Hi all, with the new version V 3.0.0 of the Powered Up App it is now possible to access up to four hubs at the same time. Here is my handheld, as receiving hub I choose a technic hub with a train motor for demonstration, but it might be any other hub or motor. Turning the wheel (which has a 0-position and calibrates when starting the program) you can set the speed, with the switch you can set forward-stop-backwards And that's inside: This makes it very simple to control two hubs with one motor each, running in opposite direction, nice for trains. It's only an approach, no final version, but it shows that there are new possibilities with the new software. Please note that you always have to run the app and programm on a smart device, which might be a smartphone in your pocket.
  22. Uhhhhh .... not when you're in level "2 Blocks" Thanks a lot!
  23. 1.) conneting multiple Hubs works fine.... 2.) connecting to technic Hub works fine... 3.) Train Motor on Technic Hub Port A is running... But: how to select a specicific Hub in a programm ? The green motorsymbol shows only port letters (as usual)
  24. Hi, Powered Up App V 3.0.0 is avaliable now....
  25. @Jetro, thanks. Is there an idea how long this my take?
