  1. No need to replace FF, just install the Chrome as a tool for Pybricks only. Here's is my very short Programm: # Einfache Schranke # benutzte Klassen from pybricks.pupdevices import Motor, ColorDistanceSensor from pybricks.parameters import Port, Stop, Color from pybricks.tools import wait # Sensoren und Motoren Schranke = Motor(Port.A) Schalter = ColorDistanceSensor(Port.C) v = 100 h = Stop.BRAKE # zu Beginn Schranke öffnen Schranke.run_target(v, 0, h ) while True: while Schalter.color() != Color.RED: wait(100) Schranke.run_target(v, 90, h) while Schalter.color() != Color.GREEN: wait(100) Schranke.run_target(v, 0, h)
  2. Then bluetooth is not recommended, if the train gets to far it will stop. Not with PF: the trains don't stop when loosing connection. But if you have that all at home, why don't you try hanging some Horizon stuff to the 60198 engine and see if it works and with how many cars? Would be interesting to know.
  3. I'm running it on an Win10/64 with a BT dongle, works fine, flashes in app 2 Minutes. And I installed it an a Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), Android, works too.
  4. It's recommended, and my Firefox doesn't support Bluetooth. I installed Chrome parallel and use it only forPybricks. Just tried Edge Version 83.0.478.50 , seems to work with BT, but I did not flash FW.
  5. Ok, then you have to use a smartphone in any case. Then you can use the same smartphone for your horizons as well. That sounds good!
  6. But I send you a picture how to solve this? in this thread and in the other one? What's wrong with that? What about a shorter train (needs less power, which makes things much easier)? I have only very short trains, because driving a long train in circles is not that exiting? And freight trains, not passenger trains. Just like the 60198, much fun for kids (with some extra rails, of course)
  7. I don't know, presumeable not, why would some people use two and cables through the train? But it's simple. A fully cabled train is difficult to handle, if you want to take it from the rails, so you have to open it and disconnect the cables to separate the parts. Why don't you just use two Powered Up hubs, two motors and a handheld?
  8. The wire in the trains is to have only one battery box and one receiver on one end. With PF you could not be sure that the signal always reaches both seperate receivers. The picture shows two motors in one engine. Taking one motor to the other end needs cables. A simple solution: use just one motor ;-)
  9. Hi here's a short video showing a resident program in the hub: https://youtu.be/79LWUEo21dg
  10. uuuuhhhh.... This is - awesome. Brillant. Thanks you @GianCann And of course to @David Lechner and @laurens valk
  11. The link in the description only leads to the workflow? I now found this: https://github.com/pybricks/pybricks-micropython/releases/tag/v3.0.0a3 That contains a json file, the firmware as bin and the main.py. If I understand correctly I shold replace the main.py, zip again and drop the zip onto the frimware button in the browser. But why is the original main.py not empty, as I expected? Thanks for your support in advance, nice Video
  12. *sigh* Yes. And nobody knows what's that difficult with it. With the Boost-App some tiles have sometimes tooltips....and when they appear they are in the correct language. A miracle.
  13. Thanks for your efforts, I'll will try..... As I'm not very experienced with that all I will come back with other questions.....stay tuned.
  14. Thanks. But its moving forward.... Which build of the list did you take?
  15. The link is active now: https://github.com/pybricks/pybricks-micropython/actions?query=workflow%3ABuild+ (this is the one flagged as "available soon")
  16. Hi, did anybody find a way to download the latest build and replace the main.py to make a program resident?
  17. Ah, I missed the "out of the box", sorry. No that doesn't work. But you can connect one light set to the hub, thats what I meant.
  18. No, it is intended to use a smart device for control. This is shown on the back of the box. But you can easily use a M-Motor. But this has less (2/3) power.
  19. Yes, but only stop or full speed. No speed regulation. Yes, one set of them.
  20. @Mr Hobbles You could zip your program and link a post to a download instead of pictures. As a summary of this thread: - use 2 PU hubs - use a smart device and a self-written program in the Powered Up App - Controll with either smart device or pysical handheld form LEGO. - Create a program yourself or download it from someone else.
  21. This was an example why the picture you showed doesn't work for your requirements. The pogram I mentioned you find in here in the thread some posts above: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/175751-power-functions-20-how-to-have-multiple-motors-on-a-single-train/&page=2&tab=comments#comment-3202426
  22. With my program you don't set the speed but the acceleration. All values are set in the program, such as acceleration, vmax, start power etc. But yes, you can use the physical controller as well (with a different programm, not with the "Controller" part of the app).
