  1. Thanks guys! I doubt I'll try posing this many figs again- it was a pain keeping them all stood up!
  2. Nice figs! My favourite is the Drow Assassin
  3. The fisherman is great- I'll have to try to work the spiders into a future story! Nice series!
  4. Great series! The Frozen Beyonder and the Orc Sentry/Orc Farmer girl combo are my faves!
  5. Awesome! I remember pestering my Grandad to buy this for me back in the day- cost a whopping £1.99.
  6. The calvacade of horses picked their way across the stony ground, the steep, rocky walls of the canyon watching them pass. Vladivus eyed Angfauglir, the warlord confident despite being surrounded by elite Knights of the Inner Keep. It was not the same when the Lord of Shadowmere had last seen him. The clash of steel upon steel was still fresh in the half-vampire's mind. Many warriors of the Shadowmere Guard had fallen that day, and it had only been a reckless charge by Vladivus himself that had allowed his battered forces to retreat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------. At first, the battle had gone well, Vladivus and the Shadowmere Guard exacting a punishing toll as the first of the Covenant warriors met them. Vladivus had hopped up on a rock to wave his forces onwards, the Lord of Shadowmere cutting an imposing figure arrayed in his armour, a cloak the colour of stormclouds billowing from his shoulders, and the Dragon Helm of Dor-Lomin sitting upon his head. Then Angfauglir himself had charged. The warlord and his guards were mounted on mighty black warhorses, and they thrust into the Shadowmere Guard lines, zombies and orcs flying aside as the horses hooves pounded onwards. Angfauglir's staff blazed with malevolent red light, and the magical blasts emanating from it slew many a warrior. Whilst the Knights of the Inner Keep, in their heavy armour, had managed to hold their section of the line, the charge by Angfauglir had turned the battle in his favour. Vladivus saw that only a miracle would prevent the utter rout of his army, and in a moment of foolishness he called out a mighty challenge to Angfauglir, his voice ringing loud across the battlefield; "Face me you Spire whelp!" And Angfauglir did. Vladivus remembered little of the duel after the first few blows. The next he remembered was awakening covered in grievious wounds, surrounded by Lady Sithanna and her Manbat warriors. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vladivus' mind drifted away from the battle. What was it Krell had said when he heard Angfauglir was coming to Shadowmere? "Old Friends". Vladivus snorted to himself with the memory. He looked ahead, the citadel of Shadowmere rising imposing and black into sky. The road to Shadowmere was almost at an end. ============================================================================================================================ So the next part of the collab between myself, Mass Editor and Jorrith. Credit goes to Mass Editor for the opening shot, and the microscale Shadowmere has been posted before, albeit many moons ago. This was my second or third attempt at a battle scene- I tried to make it a bit more dynamic. I'm also away from my usual Lightbox (I really need to start editing my pictures...). Anyway, C+C is always welcome! A few more pics are on Flickr.
  7. Whoa that's awesome! So many great details- love the bell and bell tower though!
  8. Nice builds! I like your figs. Only thing I'd point out is in the first pic, where the water ends- I'm assuming you ran out of trans studs? I'd try to make them go round the front of the ship, or crop the picture slightly!
  9. Nice figs! I like the desert traveller and the elf warrior the best!
  10. Welcome to the guilds! Pity you chose the wrong one! Cool fig though!
  11. Whilst Vladivus is currently otherwise occupied, Lady Sithanna is pleased to inform Masa that The dragon is proving extremely effective, and has enabled the evacuation of her hometown before a Spire attack. Ooc: Cool stuff! I'm a fan of the head, and the oversized feet- makes it look quite unique! As ever I love that architecture! Awesome!
  12. That Drakarkan is great! I love 'em! And the Jester is brilliant too!
  13. http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-30984493 Link to article above. I hadn't seen this posted, so forgive me if it has been. Agree/Disagree?
  14. I'll try clearing the cookies and report back! Cheers! Edit: that worked. Thank you, back to the regular buggy site!
  15. Not sure if this the right place, but here goes... So I went to peruse S@H (UK), as my girlfriend wants to buy me an expensive set, so I wanted to link the ones I wanted. To my vast surprise, there was nothing listed- I could look at themes, but as soon as I tried to find any list of products (sorted by theme/sale/etc) there weren't any. This was on Google Chrome. I loaded it fine on Safari. I was able to load the individual product pages on Chrome by copying and pasting from Safari, but that doesn't work for listing products. Just me?
  16. I'd like this to be true. Count me in as a skeptic (no offence meant). If I'm wrong, then I shall party with the rest of y'all. It just seems a bit like it panders to our (AFOL) wants- kids are probably just as happy with Knights and wizards and horses. And Lego's audience is kids first. I'd be inclined to think they'll head along the same lines as Kingdoms and the 2013 line- two human factions duking it out. Probably a rehash of older sigils- Falcons and Wolves perhaps, although I'm guessing they'll do some sort of Lion and dragon insignia- given that's what they used in the last two. Anyway, a fantasy theme would be epic- all those moulds introduced in CMF series! But it wouldn't be focussed enough- you'd have an elf orientated set, a goblin set, human set, skeleton set, dwarf set. If they produce the same amount of sets, that's all the sets right there. I'd bet the cmf moulds will be in the big sets, to persuade you to buy them. A few mainly incoherent ramblings on the subject.
  17. I think the thing that I like the best is that the procession looks so realistic- there's the crossbowmen winding their way around the vegetation- meaning it's not all straight lines! Cool trees too!
  18. Nice build SK! I've been admiring it on Flickr!
  19. Nice! The Aslanic Order certainly is rich! What will this mean for the orders presence a cross Historica I wonder? Some nice details- I especially like the chandelier!
  20. The Shadowmere Assassin and Intelligence Guild sees all! All that aside, beautiful build, love the details. And I learnt a new word! Awesome!
  21. Nice series- great to see Cedrica and Varylio getting a look in! Favourite is the Longbowman volunteer!
  22. Welcome to the guilds. You're right Avalonia has Druids, but the other guilds can have healers too. Nocty can have all sorts of weirdness- a blood priest, using the magic of the blood fountains to rejuvenate grievous wounds. Not to mention Necromancers, and the gift of vampirism. Perhaps a swamp person knows of the root of a particular tree that can have beneficial effects. Nocty's not ALL about darkness and evilness- the commoners have to lead lives much the same as those in other guilds. In fact they've probably got more of a need for healers than other guilds, given how dangerous day to day life on Nocty can be (enchanted pumpkin farmers, I'm looking at you!). Hope that helps!
