Avalonian Task I, II, III. The county of Benoic
Lord Vladivus replied to de Gothia's topic in Guilds of Historica
This is amazing. I think you've set the bar for describing and depicting lands you rule over! -

AoM Archery phase1: A tricky shot
Lord Vladivus replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Great MOC! I've been waiting to see the elves in action! I like how the pagoda/gazebo thing evokes both Mitgardia and elven architecture! -
Book II Chapter I-Into the Flames
Lord Vladivus replied to C.J.Cutrone9's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nice build, I like the effects in the lava! -
I'm pretty sure I've seen a couple of the Vladek breastplates used, but that's about it.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to CM4Sci's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
We're highly unlikely to get a film based on the Silmarillion- the timeline is several thousand years long. Turin would make a great film, but I doubt it would make it into Lego form- half the main characters commit suicide. In terms of the new sets, I think it's a case of PJ fiddling with everything too much. He's been pretty secretive about everything this time around- there's a lot more new stuff that's not in the book in the Hobbit films, when compared to LOTR.- 7,499 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Lord Vladivus replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'd have loved the new guns when I was a kid. Less so now, but I'm an adult. With all the negativity, and assertions that TLG is shafting us AFOLs, I think we're forgetting that we make up a small percentage of Legos audience. The internet is a skewed place- Eurobricks is an adult forum, so we don't see small kids around, who'd clog up this thread with things like "OMG teh nu blasterz is amazballs." But these blasters are a great thing- Lego should be for the kids- it's something that drags them away from the incessant COD marathons. Just my two pence. More on topic, I like the fact that the Royal Guards have double-sided capes- makes them more desirable to me. I wanted them anyway, as I don't own any. -
So the Royal Guards have double sided capes? That makes them more attractive. Thanks for the review!

Challenge 1, Cat. B: Stranglehold tower
Lord Vladivus replied to Gabe's topic in Guilds of Historica
Awesome! Love the tower, it's my favourite technique that I've seen (I don't think I've seen one that mixes technic and system like that). The Minotaur skull above the door is a nice touch. And we of Nocturnus know exactly how to deal with the deathless. -
Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Don't forget a hat with loads of pockets covering it! Got to use all the space you can! -
That's a great technique! Gives the tower a wonderful silhouette. Thanks for sharing!

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
I've got this image of a guy literally covered in pockets- I think there was someone who did that. Although not with Lego. -
Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
It's a sort of rank you guys had early on, I think Ecc is the only active one now. There were 4 if I remember rightly? Awarded for stuff like developing the look of Mitgardias armies, and challenges. Somewhat equivalent to a high ranking general. -
Nice landscaping!

Awesome! Lovely MOC, that floor is awesome. Makes me appreciate the new Lion Knights a bit more too.

AoM Tower Phase Three - No Fools allowed
Lord Vladivus replied to Jodocus's topic in Guilds of Historica
I wish I could churn MOCs out as quickly and to as great a standard as you're doing at the moment! Great expansion on your previous phases, and yet again, the story is great! -
Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nice Soldiers of Mitgardia Jeroenna, the red cloaks work well! -
That's a lot of Elves. Of course my favourites are the Blackflame Elves (Nocty, and I'm a sucker for red and black). Nice parts usage across all the groups though. Will we be seeing them in MOCs anytime soon?
-
I like the burning Nocty flag (boo hiss!). Nice action too!
-
Great story! I love that first shot, looking up through the branches!

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Lord Vladivus replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Haha, fair enough! -
I love the idea of SONE. I've been put off though because I can't create an individual character- I'm either a stormtrooper or a rebel trooper. I would've liked more customisation of my character. That sort of leads me on to my next point- it's harder to do that in the current setting, although far from impossible. I'd perhaps like to see us still pick a side, but not be forced into standardised ranks- I want to be a bounty hunter, a soldier, a force sensitive. I'm not advocating ridiculous power levels, but I think that's one thing GoH has- customisation of characters. Also, I think a SONE sub-forum would be great. As an aside, I've enjoyed viewing all the MOCs that the participants have created, keep it up guys!
