I think the issue at hand here may be the fact that Paul does in fact put his own kits together and provides them to the Community, so now if someone else is doing this, they are sort of stepping on Paul's toes. Especially if they don't contact him and let him know what their intentions are. I did check out parts that have been sold at bricklink against the parts list with his instructions and I must say that almost all of the parts for his model have in fact been bought in heavy quantity last month and this month.

I just noticed that this was posted at his site. Does anyone know what the heck this is all about? This is very interesting. Not sure if this actually works or not. Someone should contact Nathanael Kuipers and Paul Boratko about getting their models on there. I would love to have that Concept Car or crow's Murcielago. Blakbird, are you working with Paul on Murcielago instructions?

I would rather have instructions for his new Concept Car. In Brick journal, there was a picture of his Concept Car on display with Crowkiller's own models at Brickworld, so there has to be something out there.

Lego purposely lets these pictures get leaked out to build up hype. This same thing happens every single year. They let them get out and then demand that they be removed to build up the excitement. Then after they get pulled you have 100's if not 1000's of people scouring the internet trying to find them. It's a giant marketing scheme.

Blakbird, I think that it is actually part of the rear end and actually flips upwards. Because in the pic where it is flipped up there doesn't appear to be anything above the battery box. I would also like to add that the doors are not just scissor doors. They appear to be butterfly/scissor doors.

This may be very possible. Seriously though even if the A-Model did in fact have a 4 speed, don't you think that is kind of taking a back step to the 8448 or 8466 sets from 10 years ago that had 5 forward gears and a reverse?

There is NO drivetrain transmission on this model. Why do they show the 4 speed transmission(Control box) with numbers in the same orange column with the 4 functions with the same numbers in the same font? And besides, if there was a 4 speed transmission between the seats, then where is the control box for the functions? There is obviously no room anywhere else as this battery box will take up most of the space in the rear end of the car. It is making use of the "4 speed gearbox" between the seats by operating the functions. That single motor isn't going to open/close everything and drive the car.

The battery box is obviously in the rear section of the car, so where does that leave the controls for the 4 opening/moving features for the doors, hood, and spoiler? If you look closely at the picture of that 4 speed transmission, you will see that it is broken down into the same section with 4 numbered functions as well. That is not a an actual transmission. It seems to be made very clear that it operates the doors, hoods, spoiler. I think he is right about that one. Still can't see anything that proves the steering theory.

Paul has a write up on his site with his speculations on the 8070 set. I don't think it has a working steering wheel, but I could be wrong I do think he is right about the functions being between the front seats and operating it through the sun roof.

I have to admit, the more that I look over the pictures of the 8070, the more that I like it. New wheels or covers would have been awesome.

Is that crazy wing thing on the back supposed to make it look like the Batmobile? If I seen pictures of this on brickshelf or MOCpages, I would have just thought it was a fan made model.

Lego/Hybrid models really never impressed me. If models contain parts from other sources outside of Lego, I just lose interest.

I highly doubt they are actuators at all. They more than likely work just like these did in this set for the legs in this set.

Blakbird, the Yellow 7L thin beams were in many other recent sets, including the mini dozer from last year, so it was probably just easier to use what was in Lego's inventory than produce a part that was in a prior set 10 years ago. That Power Puller set contained many hard to get parts actually. I also agree with crowk in his interview and find it odd that a 1x2 thin liftarm in yellow has never been produced with as many yellow sets that have been released in the last few years.

I think when they say "Super car" they mean just that. A SuperCar. Not a supercar that we have come to know in Lego terms, but a supercar of the real world. I also bet that it will be 1:10 scale considering it has a 4 speed transmission which seems like a step backwards, but would also fit into that scale car properly. It is going to be interesting to see what actually transpires out of this. I just hope to God that whatever it is, it isn't red.

I think appearance should also be included here. I have seen some very interesting and great functions in some not so pretty models, while there are some great looking models that lack in the features department.

I actually thought it looked ugly and barely resembled the actual car. I think the 1:10 scale cars are too small to put a gearbox into and actually have it look right. The door mechanism was really cool at first, but then it semed that it would pop apart easily. The 599GTB had even less features, but looked really nice.

That is actually really cool.

I loved the functions of the 8880 set, but it had to be one of the ugliest models released from TLC. The 8448 set was very enjoyable to build and seemed to be the turning point in supercar building. It is easily my favorite set.

I would really like to see a video of it driving forward and the gears changing. That car is awesome on so many levels, but the weight has got to be bogging it down some.

Here is another prime example. Paul Boratko posts instructions online at his site for his custom model and then someone from another country builds it and paints it yellow and sells it. What can really be done other than bad mouth the person who did it? This individual obviously only had intentions of making a profit off of someone else's work, but it looks like they failed at only 186 Euro or $238 dollars.

ROTM stands for "The Rod Club"? I am a little confused here.
