  1. I do have a few comments for your Lego "Morals" but I enjoy posting here, so I'll keep my comments to myself. Your Countach is nice, but I would have to agree with one of the above posters that the roof is much too flat. Skyliner, I noticed that you sold your Countach on ebay for 206.99 GBP. Why didn't you supply more pictures instead of just one? Don't you think that more pictures could have possibly helped you get more money for it?
  2. Excuse me, but isn't this the guy from the U.K. who was stealing other builder's ideas and models and selling them on Ebay for Profit?
  3. It's an interesting concept I suppose, but it doesn't seem very sturdy at all.
  4. If you save the picture and then blow it up, you can easily tell that it is in fact a new part. And it looks like it will be a handy one at that.
  5. That was primarily what I was talking about. The overkill with the panels.
  6. Meh.... Sometimes people think that they are improving something when in fact they actually are not. I like to see more original designs rather than modifying a already great design.
  7. I apologize Dave, my comment wasn't supposed to be directed right at you. It's just that I keep seeing so many threads about how the 8043 set was such a failure when in fact it was one of the best models that I have ever built. Yes, it should have had more of an extensive test with the Linear Actuators to prvent the problems upon release. I haven't had any problems with my set at all, but them again, I didn't play with it for hours upon hours either. I mean these parts are plastic. I don't know how much people can expect out of plastic parts. While the 8043 set may have failed in some eyes, I think it succeeded and broke new ground for what we may see in the future.
  8. Completely agree Blakbird. Too many youngsters here that think they know what they are talking about, when in fact they don't. Just like the guy who claimed that the new 8070 Supercar was going to be an "Epic fail"
  9. Interesting. The Supercar has less pieces than the 8145 and 8653 Ferrari sets. I would have thought that it would have had more with the extra mechanisms.
  10. The doors on the Ferrari Enzo are cool, but the steering links seem to pop apart on them from time to time. I also don't think the model looks very good at all. The 8145 Fiorano is a much nicer and cleaner looking model.
  11. You didn't really throw it on the ground from that height, did you? Nice Model.
  12. Yeah, I am going to have to pass on this one. I am not a big fan of fans ruining what is already great model from TLC.
  13. With no disrespect to the original designer, That suspension seems rather flimsy. Especially with those old school angle connectors. Unless it is actually just more for "Show"
  14. No surprises there. People have been stealing designs and ideas from Paul for quite some time now. This makes me believe his suspicions about the parts being bought up even more now.
  15. Crowkillers has his own website, so I am not sure why he would post pictures on Flickr. I am 99% sure that this is someone else who is using various pics from other builders. I could be wrong, but like grindinggears said, it doesn't make sense.
  16. Paul posted detailed pictures of how to build his Gallardo on Brickshelf long before instructions were offered. Then Blakbird made instructions for the Gallardo. Blakbird and Paul were both selling instructions, then months later after Paul had stoppped selling instructions, Paul had them up at his website for free. I already had Paul's model built and bought the instructions anyways back in Jan or Feb. There was no scam here. Paul could have continued to sell instructions and profit, but he apparently chose not to.
  17. Not to beat this dead horse again, but I built Paul's model just from the pictures that he supplied on brickshelf last year, which were posted way before instructions ever became available. If you purchased instructions early then you got them much quicker than the people who waited until he posted them for free. I also read your post before you edited it about why is he complaining now because he already profited from selling kits and instructions, so let me ask you this, since he already made a small profit from supplying kits and instructions, does that mean that it is acceptable for someone else who had nothing to do with the design of the model or instructions to now take over?
  18. Those ARE NOT crowkiller's models. I don't know who that person is that is putting up those pictures. Those are various MOC's built by other builders. Some of those models are rather old and if you check brickshelf, you will see who the original builders are. Here is the original builder of that Bigfoot Truck
  19. I went through many of the items on his parts list and they were in fact bought up in large numbers in September and the beginning of this month. I e-mailed Paul a few days ago about this and got a response back yesterday. He seems pretty sure that something is going on and basically said that this sin't the first time that people have sold his work, so who knows. He also said something about the holidays coming up and that is a prime time for people to try and make a buck. In all honesty, I would not be surprised if he is in fact right about this. Someone spent a ton of money buying up technic parts in the last month. Then again it could just be someone looking to resell on Ebay. But even if he is right, I don't think that there is anything that he can do about it.
  20. That is exactly it, the Supercar is nothing like what we have had before. I am very interested to see how these new mechanisms work. I do agree about the color though. We need a change.
  21. I was just wondering if it was a shady seller or what his story was. So you contacted him then? It amazes me that people will try and sell something that is offered for free.
  22. Obviously someone thought that they were bidding on the actual set. The seller even stated that it was for the manual only. Another 8653 Instruction book had just previously sold for $15 How Crazy is this? I guess some people have never heard of bricklink.
  23. I also think another key is that the Lego model in question more than likely has to follow the Lego rules.
  24. Jurgen, do you have a link for the auction where someone sold your instructions? I was browsing through completed listings and couldn't find anything. On s side note, looks like someone REALLY got burned on this. 8653 Enzo instructions Someone isn't going to be happy when they receive their item in the mail.
