  1. Paul, you should tell this thief to join up here and explain why he thinks that what he is doing is alright. One thing is for sure, I'll never buy anything from that guy and I'll be sure to let everyone that i know to avoid him on Ebay. Does he even build his own models at all, or does he just copy and sell?
  2. LOL. I seen that as well. People must actually be buying into the whole hard to find red parts statement, even though none of those parts are hard to find at all. The majority of this unit is red included extremely hard to find red bushings Since when are red bushings extremely hard to find? They are as plentiful and cheap as the Lt grey ones now. Here is the original from Paul and Here is the copy That is the million dollar question my friend.
  3. Yet another person stealing Paul's designs to make profit. LINK LINK LINK I found THIS humorous. The seller actually bought one of these from Paul and then decides to sell them.
  4. So TBS, you are telling all of us that if you took this plane to an open field with absolutely no string attached to it what so ever, and you turned on the propellers that it would actually lift off of the ground and into the air and be stable there? If that is the case, then that is the video that you need to create and post for all to see.
  5. Ok.......... Minute 2 shows it flying in circles with the above attached device that keeps it in place but you left out the liftoff part in that piece of unveiled video that would have proven your liftoff claim. What about at the 1:20 mark when the engines cut out and it seems to float to the ground? When the engines began to cut off one would think that it should have fell like a rock. There have been several other points made about how the liftoff looks "staged" the wings showing no signs of flex is another key that seems to go unexplained.
  6. That second video makes the liftoff and landing prove that it is fake. At the 1:17 mark the engines cutout and look how softly it lands. It should have come down much harder but they seemed to lower it down easily. I guess it is a good model even though it is a mixture of Lego and non Lego elements. Which brings me to my next question, is using outside elements acceptable for reaching the goal of getting Lego to liftoff?
  7. Is someone trying to say that this is legitimately lifting off of the ground by itself? Impossible. Also, what it that thing spinning around near the top of the video when this plane is flying in circles?
  8. Very Very Impressive Mr. Krooshoop. But out of curiosity, why didn't you use this new part for your suspension?
  9. dhc6twinotter pointed out something in the crowkiller's gearbox thread that I had overlooked. Does anyone know what set the Black Differential came in? I can't seem to find any info about it at all and actually didn't know it existed.
  10. Woah, good eye! I didn't notice that either. What set did that come in?
  11. 2,500 views in 24 hours? Skyliner, are these instructions photos of the building steps or actual instructions like Nathanael Kuipers' Concept car?
  12. I picked up a partially built one a few months ago on Ebay for $100. Great set.
  13. Nice Video of the Gearbox in action, love the switch too. If I were you, I would try and touch base with someone at Lego about this Gearbox design because it really is well done.
  14. Is this the suspension that it uses?
  15. In this picture you can see the Middle Differential Box. I also like the use of the driving ring with it for extension.
  16. There are actually 2 different gearboxes being shown here. The pictures posted are from an all wheel drive design, but the video is not. If you look in this link HERE you can see that it is indeed a new all wheel drive one using a 3rd differential box and not the same one that was at TechnicBricks a few weeks ago. Looks like he is incorporating some type of switch for the front wheels? I too have built the first version just to test it out and it does in fact work phenomenally well. This is a very clever design with more realistic ratios than the standard 5+R that the 8448 had and also seems to be smoother in reverse gear.
  17. The 8466 Offroader came with a very similar gearbox to the 8448. HERE is an excellent compact build of a Studless 5+R gearbox where you can easily see how everything is set up and how things work.
  18. Milan, all of those people you listed are some of the best AFOL builders in the world, but think about this, How often do we see Instructions for models that were designed by someone that was actually a designer for TLC? NK has supplied plenty of high quality pictures and instructions in the past for everyone to use for free. I think he has gone well above and beyond what it takes to be a gentleman as you say.
  19. First off, what does money have to do with desire for perfection? There are plenty of crap instructions on EBAY right now that people are making a killing off of and no one even knows who in the heck the person selling the instructions even is. And secondly look at how many builders out there who are consistently copied and never even get recognition or even a thanks and you are complaining about someone charging a few dollars for instructions for a superbly great model? And thirdly I have news for you, this isn't a hobby for everyone, for some it is a business, even if it is a small one.
  20. I have been following Paul's work for quite some time and this looks to be his best outing yet, which is really saying something. The design and construction is excellent with a uniquely built transmission. I am glad that he didn't overdue the model filling in gaps with random technic pieces placed everywhere like had done in some of his previous larger models. This one has that pure technic look and feel to it. I too am hoping that he has this model on display at Brickfair. Paul, I would like to suggest that you make a small investment in a tripod. It would make your vids less shaky.
