  1. They are definitely not the same shade of yellow as you can see in the 8109 set right next to it and the Pneumatic cylinders are also a brighter shade of yellow than the cab is.
  2. Here are the prelim picks of the new sets. I seen this in the other topic and posted it here. The Unimog doesn't look like a flagship type of set large set. It also has the Mercedes License And it's orange! No extreme cruiser pics though?
  3. Do you have links for any of those interviews?
  4. I am not sure how anyone could compare their own model and say it's better than an official Lego one just because theirs is larger and they have added more functions. And after all, it is only a $60 set, so in my opinion you are definitely getting what you pay for here. This small backhoe looks pretty good and yes it is rather simplistic to turn knobs, but this one is a little small for adding battery boxes and motors or running miles of air tubes through. I think that Lego is more concerned with the appearance as well as the functions.
  5. Here is how they pronounce it in their commercial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gs9QElieM5E
  6. I notice that you pronounce Technic, Technique, which I am not by any means saying is wrong, but I always thought that it was pronounced Tech Nick Or have I been pronouncing it incorrectly? By the way, great video!
  7. I noticed a similar problem. It's just something that you have to expect over time. Just like in real equipment, things wear out and must be replaced.
  8. It appears for some reason that Paul has deleted his original video and uploaded a new one with a nice mellow instrumental. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=064F5ZH56O4
  9. I would just be happy to see some sets come along with some new interesting parts.
  10. At first glance it appears to be a knock off of the upcoming 8070 Supercar. But after comaparing the 2, it is quite obvious that this is much different than the car soon to be released by Lego. It looks like he did quite a few interesting things with this new model. And Zblj, there is nothing wrong because he enjoys building cars. Apparently cars is what he likes to do, and there is no reason to build something that you are not passionate about doing. There are people that strictly build minifig buildings and are excellent at it, but that doesn't mean that they should start building pirate ships. At least these are my thoughts. I don't know what ever happened to this, but it looks like he was planning on doing some type of truck
  11. Congratulations Zblj! You are an excellent builder!
  12. Are there any new parts in this set? Are those short flex axles in red new?
  13. Well it is definitely stronger, but I have never even broke one of the old ones. Maybe there are new sets in the works that are putting a lot of strain on that gear. I am surprised that it isn't in another color since that seems to be the new trend with gears.
  14. It also appears that the Standard model also lacks a working driver's steering wheel. That is somewhat dissapointing.
  15. The final version of the 8070 looks Magnificent! I agree about the stickers. I am not a stickers kid of guy. I also see that the hood has been slightly altered and moved back and now it opens different than the original prototype pictures that we first had seen.
  16. If you notice, many things have been changed on that high res pic of the 8070 supercar, the spoiler in front has been changed and stickers have been added, although I am not sure if they were neccessary. Also many pieces were added throughout the model. The wheels are no longer black either.
  17. Sorry DLuders. I am just not a big fan of using others people's designs and ideas to gain a profit from. I just think that it is wrong. While that just may be my opinion,I am certain that most people here would agree with me. This will be the final comment that I make on this issue.
  18. Paul Kmiec certainly has some interesting Profile pics.
  19. I don't want to sound rude, that model is ok, but is not worth paying that kind of money to purchase instructions for, in fact I probably wouldn't bother building it if they were free. Plus that guy has very poor Lego morals.
  20. It looks like this one is going to have quite a bit of action with features. It will be interesting to see how this one turns out compared to Lego's 8070 supercar. The control box is obviously different from the 8070 model in what position operates what feature. Also love the HOG and cockpit combined steering. The guy certainly builds solid stuff that's for sure. Looking forward to the end result. What part is he using for the Shifter? I don't recognize that. It is a technic part?
  21. That is very awesome. That designer builds some amazing vehicles.
  22. I am pretty sure that the designer "Borrowed" many ideas for this model from some other builders.
  23. Probably non technic Lego parts. It looks like a nice model, but if you plan on selling something on Ebay, great quality pictures can be the difference between selling something and not selling something.
  24. I have to be honest, I don't see any resemblance at all with the link that you provided. Your model and the other one don't even use the same angle pieces.
