  1. I opened mine only to check the plate number. Maybe I'll built it this christmas
  2. Does somebody know what's the free polybag for October? 2X VIP points is very nice for October but I don't know if the VW polybag will still be offered by then
  3. Ok, it's understandable. As blakbird said, you can try building it by yourself, then post the pictures. Someone might be able to help if they see the problem visually. Pictures speak louder than words and forumers here love to see pictures
  4. I really find it hard to understand most of your posts. Are you using google translator?
  5. Well, i just think it's much more proper for your post to appear in this link, just my 2cents: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=66544&hl=%2B8480+%2Breview
  6. I think your post is kinda off as regards to the title? 8480 is a space shuttle, but good score though
  7. better watch out for great deals in auction sites. I got my mint 8457 (complete except the VHS tape) for around $120. My 8466, I also got for around $75... As of now, I have two sets of 8457 and two sets of 8466...
  8. If you're interested on the wheels and not on the prints, get the 8466 and have 4 wheels instead
  9. Good thing you scored a number of the licensed orange 5x11 panels Is that from Lego S@H or you bought tons of unimog? Your creation is mind boggling (for me) btw
  10. I chanced upon this cleaning process on the facebook page of Philippine LUG. Link: https://www.facebook...&type=1 He used zonrox/clorox bleach and hydrogen peroxide, 2 tbsp each combined with 1.5 liters of water. Submerged the parts for 8 hours. He mentioned the cleaning solution is ok for figs that turned yellowish, it works well for both multi-colored minifigs and bricks as well. Colored bricks will appear more vibrant and shiny after the treatment. On the left is the one cleaned/bleached after 8 hours. Notice the prints are still ok.
  11. This is also what I thought...Let him buy the expensive sets..After a year, buy it from him on a very low price
  12. that's an insane number of frames and liftarms!
  13. Just make it sure you use brand new beads and not used ones. You'll never know how it was used in the first place
  14. Yes they have the same size of tires but the original wheels/rims of 8285 have a silver color (on some models). http://brickset.com/search/?part=4547373 Also, the difference I noted on the 8285 vs 9397 wheels - a half bush-size extension on the center of the wheel (see picture). I noted this last night since I added tandem wheels on my 9395 and the extra wheels came from 8285
  15. Nicely done in red! Now if only enough parts were available in orange, that would be awesome!
  16. For me I'll be using the gray or black..It doesn't make a difference
  17. Thanks Jurgen. Now it's easier to find what additional parts needs to be purchased
  18. for that price, you can order a specially made plate made in pure gold, with a specialized number etched on it...
  19. I plan to convert my 9398 to a yellow boss, just needs some more parts, though my yellow panels are already complete
  20. The only problem with that kind of display cabinet is - dust... Maybe you have a sealed room My built models sitting on the top of our Ikea cabinet...Sealed....in plastic bags I'm tired of dusting them off, so I wrapped them in plastic bags
