  1. I was browsing Lego sets being sold at the local grocery shop and noted that they put in the tags where the lego sets were made. Though the boxes indicated that parts are made in different countries, I don't know if the whole sets were produced in a specific country or just parts of it.. Made in China - Technic Made in Denmark - Starwars Made in China - LOTR The WinterVillage Cottage is Made in Mexico as indicated on the tags
  2. It seems they used different kind of wheels. It now look nicer than the low-profile wheels of 42008 and 8109
  3. Nice score..But based on brickset news, the blue clone lieutenant will come to the UK (and probably to the rest of europe) this november. http://brickset.com/news/article/?ID=7992
  4. Nothing new, just installed my airtank Used airtank cost around $20++ per piece in bricklink. So I just bought a complete set 8462 tow truck with dual airtanks for $65
  5. Nice MOC you got there! Good to mix 8258 and 42009!
  6. Bought 8289 Technic Fire Truck for EUR32 (US$44), mint condition, some bags are still unopened, complete manuals for both A&B models, stickers still unapplied
  7. That car is insane! I really can't understand how you guys can create such car from scratch....really genius
  8. Yes they are profit-oriented. They derive their income based on a certain percentage of the sales of shop owners Here's their fee structure: http://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=38
  9. Thanks, just saw your post on the 42009 thread and I will definitely use M motor as you did
  10. Thanks, that would be a cheaper solution, I would definitely try that..I already have all the parts, except for the extra L motor
  11. Thanks Paul. I was looking at your blog when I'm building mine to check how you've done it with the servo and L motor. Though I am saving my L motor for the ultimate 42009 and the servo is darn expensive!
  12. So I finally finished my Unimog today after the box sitting on the shelf for 10 months I modified it to RC (as noted on the youtube tutorials), used XL motor for driving and an M motor for steering. You can also see the series of bricks I used to brace the motor to the connector in between the seats M motor is already powerful for steering so I geared down it with 8-tooth & 40-tooth gears. I also relocated the battery to the center of the bed for equal weight distribution (as seen earlier here also). The IR receiver is mounted on the side with the switch of the pump motor The previous location of the battery box is now empty and I used a panel to cover it. The cover swings upward and I will use the space to mount the airtank.
  13. Am I the only one who cannot see the pictures?
  14. for me, 9498 (green one) is the best of the three as it has the most number of parts and also much more sturdier than the other two. Plus the dark green color is lovely...
  15. Because of this set, I might diversify to modulars in the coming months
  16. Awesome! Now put additional meat on those sexy butts
  17. Yes, suspension on all axles. Check page 1 for pictures
  18. Really nice lego room you got there
  19. So the laser-cutting machine you are using is an industrial-type? I sometimes made this kind of box out of recycled boxes just to fit some things for shipping and it's really PITA to make it straight and have exact measurement
  20. Thanks, I think its much more superior (design-wise, lots of printed parts) than the 2010 re-issue (8129). But the latter has more minifigs though
  21. Bought these trio of Jedi Starfighters for EUR50, complete minifigs& manuals, no box.. Also, bought the 4483 AT-AT for EUR 90.00..used
  22. This set is awesome, got a chance to buy it in a local auction site. Since the head is the most fragile part, I fixed this using the following parts and attached it to the underside of the body going to the neck After attachment. The head wont swivel as it did before but it fixed the wobbly head and it wont fall down on a small movement
  23. yes, that Ikea tray are very useful, and cheap too
  24. Gorgeous wheels and that logs are surely heavy
