Wow, that's incredible! I love the dark orange / red combination, broken up by white stripes and brick-bricks. It's a great little scene for your truck, as well. There are just so many details to love. Would you please post some more pictures of the facade with the gambrel roof? It looks nice, but I can't really tell.

Interesting topic. Discussed in another thread, I have 12k-13k parts - I am too lazy to sort them (so they're all in 2 IKEA tubs) but if I bought appropriate containers, I could probably sort everything in 1 or 2 afternoons. I do keep instruction books and boxes - I have LEGO club magazines and catalogues from years ago - but it's nice to flip through the catalogues. I wonder what other people have to say?

That sounds like a really clever way to present the sticker. I'm glad you got it after all, Blondie-Wan.

There's no reason not to - if you have an idea, you might as well build and submit it. Oky - I love your Toy Story campers - the Buzz Lightyear one is especially nice with the little wings on the back. -

I finally found some tiles, modified 1x2 with handle that aren't white, which greatly expanded my options. I present the Neko no basu from My Neighbor Totoro. See more pictures at Flickr! -
What is your least favorite LEGO set?
jimmynick replied to CardinalBricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think it's a fairly good representation and all the half-stud offsets are interesting. I concede that it was overpriced, though. I remember when it came out - I thought it was less a spaceship and more a big bley box thing. -
Scrolling / Back Button Navigation Issue

What makes you think I don't have one? I noticed the problem on other websites a couple of hours ago, so I reinstalled my browser and I think everything should be OK.- 6 replies

Free Lego Give Aways. Whats been your favourite?
jimmynick replied to Stri's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yeah, it looks like a great set! I don't know if I want to get that this month or double points next month! But double points is probably a better deal, right? -
D'oh! I looked at it and thought it was something out of Indiana Jones - and then I didn't give it a second thought. Great work anyway!

I think a tyre stack and air pump would be great additions to put on the station near the wall.

I've noticed a problem when navigating pages here. When I click on a page then scroll down (because I'm reading it) then do my finger-swipe to go back to the previous page, my browser takes me to the location where I entered the page (not the previous page). This issue does not occur on other websites. Some info about my browser: Problem does occur in Chrome 23 (which isn't the most recent, but it's the one I prefer) Problem does not occur in Firefox 22. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem?

Looks good! I like your transparent macaroni pieces. I look forward to seeing how this grows and evolves as you build on it. I've noticed that your Art Deco Gas Station (and now this) are larger than your usual town scale - are you moving on to bigger things?

I like it quite a lot so only a couple of suggestions: Take a picture with light from all directions with a clean background. Switch out that old grey plate near the roof for a bley one - it will match the colour of your bley pieces and improve the futuristic look. Blue cheese instead of 1x1 round plates? It could sort of fill in a slope - put the tall side facing out. Keep building, and I hope you make more entries for the contest because your first one is great. -
I love the combo of grey and bley, and the trans-blue SNOT water, and the brick-bricks - well, this is just a great MOC all around. The columns do look a little squared-off or "8-bit" - maybe you could include 1x1 round bricks to make rounded towers?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
jimmynick replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I thought the Friends minidoll was designed they way it is because, in TLG's research for a girl-oriented line, female children identified better with or preferred the minidoll over the minifigure - nothing to do with male children's preferences. -
While true, this has been the case for a while. I feel that, given the scale of town sets, these sorts of planes are too large to begin with. Take a look at the Airport subtheme on Bricklink; I much prefer sets such as 3181 and 7696. Thanks for the review, LukefromNJ, and I really appreciate the information on the small details in this set!
