  1. Can I jump on the "that's a stupid reason" wagon? Here's my contribution: Vote: Korra (Khscarymovie4)
  2. We don't need detectives, do we? As a superhero, I think some vigilante mob business is what we need... though my waifu Batman famously did appear in a Detective Comics.
  3. I brought a bag of Chardonnay. Who wants to play spin the bottle?
  4. Having looked at the interview and some of the additional photographs, the studs on the gate don't stand out so much. Yet they are the most obvious thing in the box art because of the render's lighting. Strange.
  5. Like others, I have mixed feelings about this set. I love the T-rex and all the scenes inside the towers (and I especially like Nedry's alternate face with the dino spit/venom) but the towers themselves have too many studs... I know it's a minor quibble but when the dinosaur is so slick and well-shaped, and when the minifigures have had lots of care taken over them, when the exterior of the major set-piece looks like something straight from 90s, it's a bit weird.
  6. This bird is in the house. Better pray you don't fall foul of my fists... OF JUSTICE!
  7. I saw this on Flickr the other day but neglected to comment. It's a really cute little ship, and I love the red/yellow colour scheme. Always nice to see what you come up with. Thanks for sharing!
  8. 1) I was briefly in The Forest III 2) Can do 3) I can spin some sick beats yo
  9. your posts were quite amusing; glad you've got a souvenir out of it.
  10. How well-proportioned and studly I love the patches of grey on the sail, as well as the detail and shape of the cockpit - those grille tiles are so simple but make it just that little bit better. Great work, thanks for sharing!
  11. Congratulations on getting accepted into such a cool program! But don't forget: getting in is only half of the achievement - make sure to study hard when you're there. You'll do fine. If you want to take a break from mafia we'll miss you, but you did a great job. I was so happy how quickly you picked up on my mason claim Hey, getting Whitby is poor luck; getting Caldwell is my own lack of due diligence. I clocked @Trekkie99 on Day One and PMed Hinckley to say so (so there'd be evidence for when I made this claim today). I realized he was playing very differently than in Pirates but I thought I shouldn't let that affect my judgment Oh no hard feelings at all, but I am sad you besmirched my memory with all those lies but after Pirates I definitely deserved to get snaked hard . !!! He went a whole six days!
  12. BAWK! Hi, Pierot Parrot here! Thanks for hosting, Hinckley. I enjoyed all the cutscenes, particularly the one in which Pernilla became a HAM SANDWICH and the ones on Day Six. Everyone else did a great job and I had oodles of fun watching on the deadboard. I'm happy for everyone to see my masonry's writeboard, as boring as it is. Congrats Hellions, you deserved it. BAWK!
  13. Utterly charming! I've never seen one of these in real life, only ever on TV and so on, but this model captures the look of a lifeguard hut wonderfully. I like the choice of duck egg blue, too, which of course you had the freedom to choose because it's a digital model. Great work, thanks for sharing!
  14. I have a soft spot for Brickheadz and this is a lovely recreation of Pavarotti's appearance. Adorable - great job!
  15. Thanks for the review, @makoy! I was just browsing instagram 30 mins ago and saw a pic of this set. Seems like a really decent model. Never seen the show itself so I don't get the context etc. but I am most excited at using the ball joints to join the two houses back to back! Oh and the monster's head is cool - a very nice design.
  16. These are wonderful! You've really captured the Brickheadz aesthetic - and I love how simply yet effectively you've modeled Skeletor's teeth . He-Man's abs and belt are great too. Thanks for sharing!
  17. Just want to share a quick mod to the 75243 Slave I with you all: It smooths out the bump, which I found a little bit distracting. Achtung! the result is quite weak because I didn't bother to re-engineer the guts of the ship. But I think it looks better this way.
  18. This is a really cool ship, thanks for sharing! I wonder though if it could stand to be a little longer - it's really helpful that you made a render of the ship at the same angle as the sketch, but the build looks a bit chunkier than the source material. What do you think?
  19. We had Life on Mars and Mars Mission for a while and we had two (I think) waves of Space Police, then Alien Conquest and Galaxy Squad... there were the Neo-Classic Space and 3vil DTC sets way back when. There's lots of scope for a generic space-vehicles theme (and I rather liked the Space Police reboot) - the thing is these themes just haven't lasted very long. On the other hand, maybe we're framing the question poorly: the overarching City theme goes through oodles of iterations, such as Fire, Arctic, Swamp, etc. but we still call them City. Can we criticize these subthemes for being mayflies?
  20. Frantisek Hajdekr over on Flick designs and prints custom parts quite frequently - he might be a good person to get in touch with.
  21. I'd seen this but not commented before - everything about this model is great. The rear end with the suspension is fantastic as others have mentioned, and I hadn't noticed before that you layered tires to get a really fat look going. Great job, and it's nice to see this thread pop back up from the depths.
  22. This is a very characteristic build - I love how much you've packed into these few baseplates. You've given us a great take on some old-timey sets but I must admit I am most excited by the little station building - the profile bricks give it a sense of crumbling with age, which is nice. Great work and thanks for sharing!
  23. I got into Harry Potter through a combination of the books and LEGO sets - my grandparents gave me a bit of a nudge with Philospher's Stone and the Chamber of Winged Keys. For me the big one is Star Wars. Sure, I'd seen TPM and AotC but it wasn't until I got on the internet and found (and lusted for) the 4504 and 10123 that I started taking Star Wars seriously. Then I went on a movie and LEGO binge around 2006 and here I am today.
  24. You can also see that one of this Yoda's fingers is in line with the hem of his cloak, whereas the old Yoda's fingers all stick out.
  25. Deep within the Jekk'Jekk Tarr is a toxic room full of Gand. The Gand are the Gand. The Gand are from Gand, on the Outer Rim. Please forgive the Gand, but the Gand do not like to discuss the Gand. This the first thing I've built from scratch in ages, and it's used all my 1xN lt. grey and bley bricks. I should probably hit up Bricklink. Thanks for looking!
