  1. I'm not busy (much) but I've been without computer for a month now and everything is just soooo haaaard and I can't even play around with Mecabricks in my free time. Your reactions were hilarious and much easier to take less seriously since they were so over the top. Can't wait for The Forest 4 where I get to be an exploding tree stump
  2. Sorry I was so dumb... but I did turn out to be right about Sulu! Thanks for hosting, Bob! I enjoyed the storytelling and the setup. Well done town for sticking it out.
  3. I just don't talk to anyone IRL More seriously, I've posted a couple of MOCs on my personal website that is on my CV, so I suppose if a prospective employer is sufficiently curious, they can talk to me about it.
  4. And DS9, and Voyager, and all the movies, and so on
  5. I couldn't have done it without your help
  6. The assertion that you still have reasons to want to vote for McCoy. It's fine and dandy to vote for me today but you're ducking that point. Is it true that you actually still want to lynch McCoy at some point (or at least did long after you unvoted him) or were you just playing pretend? Because now it seems that you're laying the blame for McCoy's wagon at my and Sulu's feet, which is a little uncharitable considering what you've been saying about McCoy all day. You might couch it in terms of "saying McCoy is suspicious but not voting for him". We're lynching a townie today because you and Mallory are unable to accept that sometimes people don't have very good reasons to do the things they do. Good job
  7. @Hinckley no response to this, you just slink off and then come back to talk about Uhura and vote for me? That's the one thing you go to to justify voting for me? Nice. But you didn't hammer the wagon! This isn't even up for interpretation, it's matter of fact! How can both you and Uhura both be so wrong about when your votes for Kyle came in? Or I could have voted fpr you, since you're scum in both scenarios I outlined in the post you quoted. Nice obfuscation. My bad. Unvote: Chekov (Me) Vote: Scotty (Hinckley) Anybody notice how the wagon swung away from McCoy? And today it was Scotty who did it?
  8. I don't mean a factual nonsense so much as a hypothetical accusation against me that I thought was nonsense. I don't think my accusation against Sulu is nonsense, but I can see why he might think it is. Because it relies on the assumption that McCoy is scum, and he (and evidently Mallory) may think that's a stretch.
  9. Oh, no, that's not what I mean at all. I mean that you said you wanted to lynch McCoy (or me) well after you had unvoted him. So I should backpedal and say that order matters a little bit. No. To reiterate, you're inferring the wrong thing. The point is you said that after you unvoted. Sorry that wasn't clear but hopefully it is now. I guess if magical aura-reading is nonsense, that's what it is, because there's no other reason. But yes, Sulu's vote for Kyle did concern me. To further clarify: I meant you must have more reasons to vote for McCoy if you want to lynch him 17 hours after you unvoted him, and I proceeded to postulate one such reason (that you are curious about his alignment). I thought t was obvious what I meant, but I guess not.
  10. Order doesn't matter because I'm not telling a story. Are you saying your position has changed in that you no longer think you'd be lynch material in the event McCoy turns up Romulan? So you don't actually want to lynch McCoy, despite going on the record with that position about four hours ago? If that's the case, do you want to say so explicitly? I'm not scum and I'm not giving up. Happy now? It was the overall aura of his response that seemed convincing... and my original suspicion of Sulu was based on the fact that his vote broke the 3v3 deadlock between McCoy and Kyle... which you'd notice if you read the post where I voted for Sulu. There's nothing to add, so of course you can't add it up.
  11. It could be just one of you. Now here's a thought: you took your vote off McCoy when McCoy pointed out you were mistaken about who voted for whom, when. But that wasn't your only reason for wanting to see McCoy lynched, as you say: Forgive me for putting words into your mouth but I think you are just as curious as I about McCoy's affiliation. Yet there you stand, quite active but with no vote recorded (though perhaps I shouldn't take a shot at your communication), when you could easily get me to three or McCoy to four. Unless you don't want to vote for McCoy. After all: You might be McCoy's fellow Romulan, and you've latched on to Mallory's theories about me and Sulu cavorting in the dark to get the heat off your scum-buddy. As for why you'd be reluctant to vote for me if you're scum, go fish. Even if you're town, I don't know why you'd sit back like this. Seems more likely to me that you're scum seeing which way the wind blows. You might both be scum and McCoy town. I can easily conceive of you two stoking accusations against me and Sulu, and keeping McCoy on the back burner. A roadmap to victory as an angry mob knows exactly who's on their shit list every day until it's just you Romulans left.
  12. He's not. He just managed to avoid being lynched two days in a row so we're all very interested in his alignment. Which is why Sulu's assertion that I "defended him silly.
  13. Nursie and McCoy are on board but you and Mallory got this ball rolling, which is why I name you two in particular.
  14. You and Mallory seem to be the ones most concerned about me and Sulu instead of McCoy - does anyone else have that impression? Not really and not really. We are seven; we can afford to lose me today if that means we get our heads on straight tomorrow. Except for me. I won't have a head anymore.
  15. It's more like hammering someone while expounding a theory that it's easy for scum to hammer someone in this game is not a good look, and I am sufficiently aware to realize that. I'm scum, right? You want to get rid of me.
  16. I'm aware of that sweetie And I also know what it's like to get tag-teamed into oblivion and this situation feels very similar to that. It would probably clear a lot up if I Unvote: Mallory (CMP) Vote: Chekov (Me)
  17. Not answering question is scummy - isn't that what you'd say? And misrepresenting what people say in order to manufacture accusations is scummy too. So you're off base with this complaint. His play misrepresents who talked to whom about what. And he refuses to quit. idk, because thinking takes time? Well, the part about my vote for Sulu assuming that you're scum should have tipped you off that I would happily vote for you. It doesn't. I don't think it's similar at all - it would have been anti-town to try and walk back a lynch late in the day because that hands power to scum. Staying off the wagon is different. Do I feel bad about lynching Spock? Not really - if we'd not lynced him we'd have lost someone anyway. Err, no, with eight people it takes five to lynch and you were the fifth vote out of five. No matter what Commander Bob's summary indicates about the order of votes. spelling... I am not a writer... I am a proud ensign aboard the starship Excalibur... If I were going after communication tactics rather than scummy behavior, you'd be public enemy number one! Well if it was staged, we did a crap job of it didn't we? Do you think scum would really call attention to themselves by doing an awful song and dance in the middle of the bridge?
  18. I'm calling out your BS, honey
  19. If something is BS, why entertain it? I never claimed it was logical, did I? Again you miss the part where Sulu says to Scotty, "vote for me if you are suspicious of me", which provides this thing called context. You know what? Unvote: McCoy (Umbra-Manis) Vote: Mallory (CMP) for so obstinately twisting words
  20. Because I wanted to crack a quick joke before coming back with a serious frame of mind?
  21. When Sulu says that's he's responding also to Scotty pointing the finger but not voting. It's not just a response to my vote, so you can't characterize it as such.
  22. I mean it's pretty much there in the original post. Spock had an alter ego called Louisa who was foaming at the mouth to lynch someone on Day One in a Pirates mafia, and Louisa was town. It's similar to Spock's behavior on this wessel. So I had second thoughts when i realized that connection. Not at all, my vote is admittednly out on a limb. Would you prefer if I hammered McCoy? Because I can totally do that. Unvote: Sulu (Tariq j) Vote: McCoy (Umbra-Manis) Why do this now? you might ask. Because I have some town reads. First there is Nurse Chapel, who gives off a certain vibe. I can't explain it very well, but it's just there. Next is Sulu actually. His response to my vote is very sane and measured considering there isn't actually much there. It's what I would do if someone spouted some nonsense about me. I lean town on Scotty mainly because he knows when to admit he's wrong (re:McCoy) and his level of activity. There's an asterisk there, though, because I find myself doubting even myself when Scotty controls the conversation like he has been doing today. He's probably town, but might he an insidious scum. That leaves McCoy, Mallory and Uhura. As Uhura pointed out, it is remarkable that McCoy skated away from the lynch two days running. But! It could easily be a gambit. Also, keep in mind that Uhura hammered Kyle yesterday. In a situation where no-lynch gives the scum a kill, it's an easy town move to hammer late in the day to avoid a no-lynch (I say, as I hammer McCoy). It's easy for a scum to do if they hammer a townie - what difference would it make to them anyway? Sowwy...
  23. Where did Nurse Chapel's clothes go?
  24. Yes. It felt like play-acting at the time. Obviously that idea is scuppered since Kyle turned out to be town. Did I ever say you were wrong?
  25. OK, so "by and large" is unfair because there are times when you don't regale us with Ossian and bagpipe accompaniment. But in the moment, it seemed that you were doing the same thing you criticized Sulu for. Not saying you're scum - but pointing out something of interest. Saying I'm scummy and pointing out a reason why is better than yesterday, when you said you found everyone scummy but didn't discuss in detail Nurse Chapel, me or McCoy. Now McCoy is your prime suspect? Not saying he shouldn't be (in fact my vote for Sulu is predicated on McCoy's guilt) but that's a fast turnaround. Again, I don't think this means you're scummy - it's just interesting. The "double act" is your back and forth with Kyle at the start of the day, in which you seemed quite in synch. I didn't push you because I was out and about for the rest of the day. And I voted for Sulu to officially put some heat in him. She did - it's an incisive analysis of the late day.
