Your posts by and large seem to recapitulate the action of the day without adding much new. I swear I was away from my phone. And you have the scummiest bagpipes, so there! I'm worried about how Sulu cast the key vote on the Kyle wagon while sliding under our radar. So Vote: Sulu (Tariq j) Perhaps I should state explicitly that my vote assumes that McCoy is scum and his scumbuddy Sulu voted for Kyle to bail him out.
-
You'd know about that, wouldn't you? And here we have the hammer vote. Not sure how I feel about this detente between the McCoy and Kyle camps suddenly resolved. We'll see tomorrow.
-
Spock wasn't going after silence at all. He voted for me to begin with, and I love the sound of my own voice. Then he voted for McCoy for reasons completely unrelated to silence. This is a strange thing to say, Sulu.
-
I've already stated my concerns about Kyle's vote yesterday. So: Vote: Lt Kyle (KotZ) But I am interested to see if Scotty has anything to say after his double act with Kyle earlier this morning.
-
Why should you be the one looking for a different candidate? That's a bit strange - we're allowed to agree or disagree with the leading lynch candidate, but it's weird to suggest it's all on your shoulders. Particularly when you were banging the drum for McCoy.
-
You'll call me defensive for saying so, but I had a number of suspicions of Spock that I aired in public. It was Spock's attitude in combination with my earlier suspicions that convinced me to vote for him. So don't go saying "Chekov angry because Spocky no answers" Paging @Khscarymovie4 - Nurse Chapel must still be on the bridge somewhere?
-
I agree with this. Thanks for taking the time to straighten out this subforum. It is difficult keeping track of so many themes!
-
I realize now that Spock asked me this yesterday: To answer his query - I found his vote (the third on McCoy) a little sheepish. He asked about McCoy's theory regarding hammers and voting as they empower scum, but he waited until Uhura and Spock had voted before casting his lot. "Well this result sucks. Let me talk about what I should do instead of doing it." There's no need to be the first person in the discussion. I'm only the fourth person to show up today and I decided to bring some real commentary instead of fluff.
-
He's Mallory, the covfefe boy. Good question. I would also like to hear. Thanks for the summary, I guess, Scotty? I must say it is remarkable that in Spock's logical Vulcan world it is possible to be unhelpful on a day where there is nothing to go on. You're fiending after a lynch just like Ferengi fiend for money, rather than letting things unfold naturally. And the rest of us are right to find that suspicious. Actually, I do remember going on the holodeck to watch a movie directed by Commander Bob about a pirate ship. In that, there was a pirate wench very keen to lynch someone, anyone, on the first day of an imperial insurrection. That gives me a little pause.

I don't like this flippant attitude in response to genuine questions and concerns. Vote: Spock (Trekkie99)
-
Okay, so your votes are separated by four hours even though they are consecutive posts. Sue me. I have suspicions of both Dr Spock and Lt Kyle, but I haven't decided who most deserves my vote yet. yes. Commander Bob said so when Mallory was doing the coffee run. How come McCoy was the next-best wagon? Why not Kyle? He had a vote on him at the time you changed yours.
-
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but the comment preceding your vote suggests your primary concern is achieving a lynch, and it doesn't much matter who gets booted off the bridge? Why McCoy? Why not leave your vote on me, misguided as it was? You say the following: I think "several" rather overstates your case, and I observe that the post in which you noted McCoy's flawed argument lacks a vote: You weren't ready to vote for him earlier, but you're right on the heels of Uhura's vote. I wonder if our replicators produce mutton?

Voting for Q is a literal joke, in which I didn't have to say "I don't like your hair" or something to justify I (though actually I don't like my own hair). I'm not doing anything to "look town" because I don't need to. How come it took you 30 minutes between posts to decide that my vote for our favorite Albuquerque-based air traffic controller is worthy of a vote itself?
-
Enterprise? I thought these were the voyages of the starship Excalibur? Vote: Q I've always thought he's a shifty one, and he's just the sort of person to replace two of us with Romulans for a prank.

Hewwo! Ensign Chekov ready to man this wessel into previously uncharted regions!
-
Go for it! I'm interested to see how this setup plays out.

If you're happy for me to be less active than usual, count me in as the last player.

I agree - the hairpiece is something of a letdown. But that doesn't diminish the fact that a fan favourite is a SDCC exclusive! edit: as old-school as it is, I would go with this wig: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=43751#T=C

For me it's the 4504 MF, 7163 Republic Gunship or the 6210 Sail Barge. I'm big on nostalgia

There are places on the web that organize trades of concert tickets, where you pay 150-200% of face value and someone else will get the ticket for you, I guess because it saves you some hassle waiting in line. I imagine it's the same deal here, and you get your money back if the buyer can't acquire it.
-
Have fun, everyone! I'm going to sit this one out. Should be fun to watch!
-
She looks great. Shame the exclusive isn't something silly like the zebra suit Batman, so we could all have a chuckle and ultimately not worry about missing out. Hope if there's another set in the future that it might come with Barb. Or that they give a (possibly different) Barb figure as a freebie a la Revan.

Hey! It showed us that the Upside Down does have people in it, which were missing from that hellscape in Season One The first episode this time at least has something happen: the Russian transmission. Miles better than the last season, where we spent several episodes watching Will get a little bit creeped out. As for rewatching, I'm taking it slow this time.

I watched the show recently and bought the set last week. Finished building it this morning. I was pleasantly surprised by the shoutouts to seasons 2 and 3 - in particular the purple wizard's hat, which I thought at first was there just to fill the space in the attic. Was that hat shown in any Stranger Things material, promotional or otherwise, before season 3 was released?

The other character moments I really enjoyed were El & Max's growing friendship and Will's pain at feeling left behind while his friends are growing up... very real emotions there. Shame those ideas disappeared when the monster story reared its head.
