  1. Instructions are available on Peeron: http://www.peeron.com/cgi-bin/invcgis/scans/8235-1/?ct=1.
  2. Brilliant, love the way the 5th wheel locks in. Looked like the maintenance crew were leaving early :-)
  3. Hey that's brilliant. Looks like great fun. Did you use L motors? Looks like my bank balance is going to get another hit!
  4. A 1x2 plate with a 1x2 tile on top is even worse.
  5. I've used "A brick or More", "Kats bits and kits", "A to Z from Phil Wright" and "Shed Load of Bricks". All been really quick, with clean, well packaged bricks andquick service. Postage was reasonable on all. Hardest thing is to find as few suppliers who have the most of the items on your shopping list! Good Luck
  6. Never mind just Female, how about any TECHNIC Figures, in current (fashionable) clothing?
  7. I want longer tow-ball/axle connectors. Mine won't stay connected in my 8880. They're always coming off.
  8. Yes please. I need more reading material for my insomnia nights. Like NOW.
  9. I take it this was an April Fools Day Joke. No., I haven't bothered to read all 11 pages........
  10. I've motorised the up and down of the pen in the plotter from the Control Centre set 8094. The LDD file shows the Power Functions M motor, but I've actually used the oldest motor to be more in keeping with the original model. The two yellow 1x4 technic bricks and the two 8-tooth gears are as the the original design, the two 1.16 technic beams represent the orignal beams..... I'd like to get better (finer) control, but this is a first MOD/MOC. I've taken photos and video, but the effort of making them smaller, loading them into BrickShelf or my own website is too much at this time of day. I just want to go and play...... LDD file here: http://www.readypedalgo.co.uk/Lego/8094%20Motorised%20Pen.htm
  11. Looks like great fun. I must stop looking at all these great ideas, makes me reach for Bricklink to order more parts. Thought about using maltesers but they'd end up melting and making the lego all sticky :-(
  12. I like them both. Mechanisms like this are a great way of learning about gears and levers. Much more fun than building cars or trucks.
  13. The only one I can comment on, (because I need some and have already been looking at prices), is the 40 tooth gear, which sounds very cheap. In UK they are 50p each minimum from Bricklink. I've looked at UK Lego Education website and cannot find these items to buy. Also looked at Lego Shop and not there either. So if anyone in UK can point me in the cheap direction, I'd appreciate it. Ta muchly.
  14. Only Technic. As your question asks "Do you collect Lego themes other than Technic/Mindstorms?", y ou need a voting option for No, only Technic.
  15. Thanks all, I guess I'm not surprised by your answers. Sounds like the floor under the sofa will have to become Toybox II. He won't let me sell his 8880, and mine is the basis for all the little, vintage instruction booklets that I have a large pile of, as well as the lessons from Sariels fantastic book and all the wonderful MOCs that appear here and on Rebrickable. I was seriously considering selling the 8466 before I searched through this forum and discovered the rarity of the wheels. The others all have a feature or parts that are useful elsewhere, so I didn't really want to sell any of those either. Sorry to anyone who thought they might aquire one of these, they're now firmly "not for sale".
  16. I've got the following large sets: 8880 SuperCar (x2 his'n'hers), 8435 4WD, 8466 4X4 (with Power Puller wheels), 8455 Backhoe, 8462 Tow Truck (with pneumatics and tanks), and these small sets: 8270 Crane, 8271 Wheel Loader, 8281 Mini Tractor and a newly purchased but as yet untouched 8110 Unimog (bought for him), plus various spares including an old 9V motor and battery, and PF M motor, battery box, switch and IR transmitter/receiver. I like building/taking apart and don't have anything on display, dusting flat surfaces is bad enough, lego dust traps are not allowed! I'm thinking of buying a 9398 rock crawler as the other half would like to make a LandRover Defender, and I'm on the lookout for an 8485 Control Centre. Something has to go as the toybox is full. Any suggestions as to what (and why) would be great.
  17. That's great, and nice music too.
  18. I asked Essex Library service to get this in, as it wasn't listed in their catalogue. Got it a couple of days ago. It's great, and have now put it on my birthday list - 26 days time. Then there will be one in the library to inspire others.
  19. Especially in the middle of the night when the rest of the world is sleeping and you have insomnia.
  20. @DLuders Thanks, I also found them elsewhere in pdf, but the scans from peeron looked better quality. So I've saved both. Have to see how each prints - when I get back home.
  21. Oh dear, looks like another set of instructions I need to buy or print! Note to self: stop reading reviews!
  22. On both points from the end of the video - it should be. It's really cute, I'm not into huge vehicles, so love this. You need to sell the instructions before someone else reverse engineers it and beats you to it. Well done.
