  1. Can't think of any that were hard to build, (love building 8880, and 8455). With newer design instructions I gather all the parts for a page (or two) and then try to assemble just by looking at the final picture on the page, to make building harder. Who wants easy? Worse is un-building. I bought a second hand 8053 Mobile Crane, and it came barely dissembled. I had very sore fingers after taking it apart.
  2. Or two brick separators And some of that grip mat stuff, I have some really thin stuff that helps me to grip the other part when removing bricks.
  3. That's easy, buy a second set. That's what I had to do when the other half wouldn't let me use his to combine with other sets. And there's this one: http://lmotd.blogspot.co.uk/2010/07/1932-ford-model-b-roadster-as-8880.html
  4. Would it be possible to have the posts numbered? I use another (different subject) forum, and there each post is numbered sequentially. So when looking back through a thread you can see how many posts there have been, and you can refer back to a particular post. Thanks for such a(n otherwise) great forum.
  5. This is great. Any chance of changing the topic title so it is easily searched for in the future?
  6. GBC Modules, Fairground rides. Cable cars, Bracelet braiding machines, Knitting machines. Anything so long as there are no wheels. Probably what I said last year/year before ad infinitum........
  7. Oooh, I love the river, palm trees and boat. Oh, and the castle, and the animals house and............. Not just a GBC a work of Art. Frontpage required.......
  8. Duh! Thank you Meatman, think it's time to stop Legoing and go back to bed.
  9. Is there a modern replacement for part 3651 ? Forgive me if I'm being dozy, but I can't think straight with this cold.
  10. The last model I built with new-style instructions, I "gathered" the parts from two or three pages, and then built them by just looking at the last of the pictures on those pages. I then glanced back at the previous pages to double-check. I too preferred the old style (my fav being 8880 SuperCar) of lots of bits at a time, and fewer steps, but you can still work this way. I'd hate to have no paper copy, and think Lego should sell paper copies of the B models. It would be much cheaper for Lego to get them printed in bulk and to post them out, than for each of us to print them at home. (For those of us who no longer work in an office with a fast colour printer )
  11. I love the way the marbles get split up after a while and don't stay together. Boggles the eyes trying to follow the path.
  12. Oh dear. I just bought one box of 100. Now I have to work out which module I've got the most parts for or have the least expensive ones to buy and that'll be my winter project this year. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this fantastic project.
  13. Thanks Theo and Blakbird Duh. finally found out how to create a "Private" MOC.
  14. I'm Sorry if this is answered elsewhere, I have tried searching for the answer, but can't find anything yet....... I have a list of all my sets and parts in Rebrickable (and Peeron). I can open a Brickstore file and see the parts I need to build (for example) the Pneumatic Module. How can I relate the two systems so I can see what I need to buy to build this module?
  15. Technic models aimed at girls. Yeah, yeah, I know that girls can and will play with the current offerings, but so many construction vehicles does not help. Better colours, GBC, knitting/weaving machines, hair plaiting/braiding, walking animals, tumbling clowns, singing snowmen, robots. Blah, blah, blah. Not "friends" that encourage role play, but models that need constructing and learning about gears and pulleys, and triangles and accuracy..........
  16. I'm amazed that no-one has answered this question yet. I'm sure if Lego themselves decided to market GBC sets they'd be over-run with buyers. I just can't believe they're not interested. I'd certainly be interested. Accumulating parts in small quantities can be expensive on P&P, so buying them in bulk and then re-sorting into sets has to make for a cheaper option. Not sure if you can compete price-wise with TLG.
  17. I love you Blakbird. And everyone else working on this project Where have I been for the past 12 days? Now all I need is someone to put together a set of instructions, a full set of parts and start selling them........ Anyone interested in a new business venture? Hello is anyone from TLG listening?
  18. Use? Of course they are of use. They absorb time. "Like"
  19. 34: 10 5: 6 40: 4 39: 3 21: 2 36: 1 That's without studying them or looking at the videos. I spend too much time here and too little time actually doing real things :-(
  20. Why doesn't this (Eurobricks) forum have a "like" button? Then instead of filling up page after page of comments, likes and praise we could see all the likes beside the original post.
  21. The first page of comments was funny, but I got bored and didn't read all the way down the second page. Not complaining, just commenting. Somewhere on FB a friend posted a video editorial by a women's rights journo about Lego adverts where boys feature with "boys creative" lego and girls feature with "Friends" and don't create anything, just bake cookies, or go to the nail bar. If I can find it, I'll post a link....... So sad that some people feel the need to differentiate between girls and boys at a young age. When I was young Lego was for kids. Found it - interesting reading - http://www.womenyous...-something-say/
  22. I tried, and as others said above, failed. This was before "power functions" but same applies to older motors.
  23. Have you thought about submitting your instructions to rebrickable? Might give you more exposure, particularly if you plan to sell your instructions in future. Plus rebrickable shows potential builders whether they have sufficient parts to make a MOC.
