I really like it, much better than the initial images suggested. If it's £70 in the UK then I'd say fair enough - it will be £90 though... I have 2 of the last MTT and I can't really see this one as much competition. That said, it's colour scheme and shape do seem more accurate.

Like the set and will probably buy a couple... But I don't understand the love for it... The original design looks like someone was just trying to use up spare parts - as it falls to bits when touched it's hardly a great piece of design work. It has no real link to any existing theme and no new parts. So, why the love? This set will appeal to hard core lego fans but has little mass appeal - it's hardly Ecto 1. People seem to think this will shift more copies than 50 Shades of Gray. What possible rationale could be used to support that view? Again, like the set. Think it will be a fun display piece - but it is hardly a sand crawler or ecto 1. If people think this is awesome, well - shop@home might have a few other things you'll like... -

Sexist drivel. Deliberately exclude women from a set? Questionable practice. Deliberately exclude men from a set? Yup, it's the same. Sexism isn't just thinking women are inferior - it's treating them as inferior by believing they can't cope without men 'giving them a hand' This set is pandering and offensive - don't worry girls, the men have made a set for you too! Women can cope just fine without 'positive discrimination' - they have all the ability they need, they just need patronising practices to stop There, there love, no long words to confuse your pretty head! Go be a scientist like a man! -

With the MTT - the cockpit holds 1 and the droid rack another 4. So, where do the rest of the droids go? Strikes me as rather odd a droid transport vehicle carries so few - not even the droids it comes with! -

I couldn't understand how a film made to sell toys would prominently feature a toy - and not sell it. That batwing better get released! The Lego movie batmobile wouldn't be a bad release either. Excited!- 9,756 replies

Anyone else getting a Metal Gear vibe from Psyclone's flying machine when it's in walking mode? Pretty sure the guys helmet owes a bit of inspiration to the 80's cartoon MASK too. Well...it got my money -

I'm guessing you don't actually have these sets... Gunship is bigger than the last one, the old AT-TE was laughably over sized and the new one's size is to correct that daft 'stretched' look. As for the sail barge - I can actually access the interior this time (and it doesn't collapse under handling) - it actually has MORE usable space. Lego sets have hundreds more bricks each time they get re-released, sets are getting bigger! I have 2 of the old MTT's, I love that set. The new one is more accurate - okay the new droid rack is an odd design choice and I won't say the set is better...but it's not worse either. Just different. This time we get 3 proper figures whereas last time I shelled out £90 for none. This one seems more sturdy (last one had a fragile cockpit hatch...) so another plus. We have just grown accustomed to the old ones design, forgetting it's the wrong shape! -

Love this set - it looks fantastic on display and really channels that 'Aliens' vibe. Great price too - a good £20 / 40% cheaper than on a standard price per brick ratio. -

Got this set today (all the summer 2014 sets are out now in the UK) Really pleased with it - plane is much bigger 'in person', in fact - this is easily the best Marvel set. The price feels about right - although its clearly well above the normal $/£0.10p a brick which we expect to see. -
The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion

I think we were all a bit cautious towards the Movie sets when the first pictures appeared...but it's proved to be one of lego's best ever themes. The 4 biggest - sea cow, mech, dropship and SSS! are all just great toys. I can't imagine anyone that's not dead inside not loving them. The prices have been fantastic for this wave, the dropship especially is an absolute bargain for all that you get.- 2,626 replies

What did they do to Cyclops?! Brett Ratner might have exploded him but lego killed him... No hair piece, no printed legs - sorry lego, were you rushing to meet a deadline? Such a shame that both marvel and DC sets don't embrace the quality and imagination virtually every other lego theme shows. I know lego divide staff by themes...time for a few fresh faces perhaps? -

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

Way I see it - we have all the plain leg parts we could ever use, in fact we could start burning them and still have billions... ...but we don't have that leg piece printed. I'll always take new parts and the options they bring over penny pinching in a £120 set. Give people the choices and bricklink will sort it all out, those that want plain pieces can buy from the rest of us! -

Cantina is such a delight, so much squeezed in. My fav bit? The gun behind the bar - nice touch! The Ghost is another triump - packed with features and far cheaper than the usual £/$0.10 price per brick we've been used to - it's one of the few sets that would have actually justified a significantly higher price. 4 new figures is always nice too. -

Building away... So far: The Phantom - 8/10. Surprisingly full of features with the escape pod, 2 storage areas and folding wings. Love the figures too. Snow speeder - 8/10. Our 6th version!! It's the best yet, slightly bigger and more accurate to the shape. Firing missles are a welcome addition but a poor price... B Wing - 8/10. Looks a bit quaint next to my UCS version but it's all about the figures. Brilliant designs and the new b wing pilot helmet is a piece of art. Can't see that many difference with the 2006 version, slightly more stable I guess. Shame the display but from the 2006 version was cut - resting the set on its side bends one of the wings. Jedi Scout Fighter - 9/10. The surprise of the wave, a sensational set with bucket loads of features (missiles, storage, escape pod and gun turret) and 4 amazing figures. Looks fantastic in that colour scheme - if this was a non Star Wars set it would be getting much more attention. Star Destroyer - 8/10. Much smaller than the 2006 version (hell, some of the fighters seem bigger!) but it's accurate and displays very well. It's sturdy and, overall, a clear winner over the poorly designed 2006 version. The big draw is the figures which are all as good as the pictures suggested. Missing an interior...would a extra couple of features have really broken the bank? At-At - 8/10. Slightly bigger than the 2010 version but a lot better and sturdier. 2 can sit in the cockpit (one behind the other) but the body is empty. Am I the only one that thinks a rappelling feature to deploy the troops would have worked here with the trap door? It's not as good as the 2004 version, but doesn't fall to bits as that one does. Mini fig selection is good but the lack of leg printing seems cheap. If you want to know where all the extra bricks relative to the 2010 version went - technic pins! Grr! Hundreds of them! You are not getting 1300 bricks in any meaningful sense. Still, it's better than the last one. Sand crawler - 10/10. Bewilderingly brilliant design work, features, impressive size, leagues better than the last...honestly if you ain't already in love with this set then you've lost the lego passion! Ghost and Cantina to go - Cantina is getting a 10! -

The strongest wave...ever? From the giant sandcrawler to the delightful Ghost these 9 sets are sensational - figures, clever designs, great to display and a mix of old and new. £750 though - oh my! -
Juts bought my second one (gotta add in the pictures!) As an owner of the 2005 original this new version is so much better in every possible way and remarkably accurate to the screen, I'm delighted with it

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
TheBrickHitHouse replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
If only, although early May isn't unprecedented -
Urgh, if only there was a 'block comments from 12 year olds moaning about the cost of lego' button... Sandcrawler has been sold at a discount to Lego's usual $0.10 / £0.10 per brick rate, the great irony is that the people who moan couldn't afford the set even if it was sold at half the price... As a former owner of the old sandcrawler you'd have to be more than a bit biased to not notice the vast improvement in screen accuracy of this new version. I'd love to see some comparison pics to get a sense of just how much bigger the new sandcrawler is - any kicking about?

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
TheBrickHitHouse replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
Each time you buy a figure of eBay or bricklink you have this fear you are getting a knock off - and some are almost impossible to distinguish. Quality is a concern - but I'm more concerned by safety. God only knows what materials have been used - when Mattel were shilling products smothered in lead paint then it's anyone's guess what features here in an environment with zero oversight. Copyright infringement is bad, but these things might actually harm a child. -
The Lego Simpsons episode doesn't feature the Lego Simpsons figures? Big round of applause for the marketing guys - idiots!

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
TheBrickHitHouse replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's a very strong wave and I have no reservations about buying every set. That said, the AT-AT...well, we deserved more, right? The smaller size (and yet significantly greater piece count...?) and the lack of an interior are odd design choices. I would have expected a troop storage area and space for a speeder bike - the back third is empty again. That said, the back third appears to be accessible by lifting the plates so has some, seemingly, straightforward modding potential. Annoys me that the snow troopers don't have printed legs, feels like lego being cheap
