  1. Looks exceptional - care to share the instructions/designs?
  2. How the hell do you get 200,000 Lego bricks? Do you just go to bricklink and keep pressing buy until the money runs at?! At £0.10 a brick...that's...how the hell does one afford this? We must be talking about an amount exceeding a new car?!
  3. Yes...numbered bags are a real problem. I much prefer the build to be needlessly frustrating... Anyone found out yet who wanted a UCS B wing? Was it done for ironic purposes? I suggest a UCS Q Wing, yeah - its seen for one millionth of one second during the closing credits...
  4. Really like this set - this years surprise package perhaps
  5. Are you for real?! I sometimes wonder if no matter how stupid the idea, someone will hold it to be true Instead of what could be generously described as a half finished design we get something showing real care and attention, something of beauty Lego gave us lazy designs and worse minifigs in the star wars theme for years - I applaud their new found respect for us and the source material
  6. Delighted with the new gungan sub - sorted out the dreadful original and a bafflingly long absence Hope it isn't getting overlooked by its more controversial sister sets - and that Padme is something of a fans dream...
  7. £119 for Jabbas 'palace' - lol, Lego does make me laugh To bricklink for those figures!
  8. Looks like a great set - sod the price, it's not as if we're talking about something that's genuinely expensive! Never understood why people would buy or avoid a set because of clone wars faces. It's rather a nerdy thing to get so tetchy about. Guys please remember extreme opinions about Lego don't come across as cool!
  9. Boba has no antenna and Luke has 2 flesh hands... Anyway, sets look much better than I was expecting - an obscure collection (needed a triple A set) but I'll get them all
  10. A UCS B wing is a bit surreal - if u want to milk the AFOL market that 5,000 brick AT AT would be the way to go. Out of a universe of vehicles - why the B wing?!
  11. Nice to have some variety in relation to Hulk's, one for every scenario!
  12. After the exploitive POTC theme I was convinced this line would be as bad... ...but this set is just awesome and would be a stand out set in any theme. Great minifigs, great design, play features for the kids and enough nice little elements (like the brick built pilot seat) to keep everyone happy. Well done Lego! ...oh and the price isnt too bad either
  13. Was expecting these sets to be the usual dross we get from licenced themes *cough lord of the rings cough* ...but these sets are great. Picked them up today, the great minifigs licenced sets usually give us plus some genuine thought into the sets themselves. The quinjet is certainly not the cash in set we usually get. Well done Lego - cant wait for this theme to continue!
  14. If accuracy is they key might want to remember the damn thing is 19,000 meters... If we can pick and choose which parts of Star Wars are 'real' and what's not I choose to believe the force really was just 'simple tricks and nonsense'
  15. I love them - got about 30. Quickest and cheapest way to army build troops with full printing
  16. Pointless set - a hollow plastic ball and a common minifig? Why would a casual fan buy this when a battle pack is damn near the same price for much more?
  17. Yey, y wing is £10 cheaper than the catelogue (thank god!). Still £10 (25%) more than the '06 version but probably inflation neutral) Last few years January waves have been good for minifigs but not so good with sets (last year, cough) This year the sets are all fantastic quality, well designed, reasonably priced and with better minifigs than ever In truth, the only criticism is the lack of anything 'new' set wise - hasn't every set been released before (even the genosian cannon!!). Anakin's fighter already exists in about 3 other colours too. I'm not too concerned when quality is increased each time (new x wing makes old one look utter rubbish)
  18. Expected 'good' with this set and got 'great' Sets like this justify regular set reissues Addressed all my annoyances with the '06 version (chunky and that stupid floppy storage bit underneath, grr!) Just stick this next to the old one and the difference couldn't be clearer - for £49.99 I'll say I got my money's worth and then some
  19. Got the 2012 and 2006 x wings next to each other here... Talk about an improvement, I dare anyone to complain about reissued sets. Much cleaner and sleeker design - was expecting to resent the cost, turns out to be the x wing i wanted the 2006 version to be
  20. All bar jsf and y wing on shelves now in Argos - and mine! £11.99 for BP's
  21. New x wing really does look great - so much sleeker than the last ones. Roll on January!
  22. ARC trooper all the way, love that detailing
  23. Why on earth would anyone be unhappy with more detailed mini fig prints? Don't u remember the horrendous 1999 SW figs? U could t tell Luke apart from Darth Vader... Mini figs are now the key to most sets and approaching almost pieces of art - I want this to continue, give me arm prints, the whole works! Getting a really great mini fig in a set can make that set truly legendary - the idea we should go without because it might clash with our 'other stormtroopers' is absurd!
  24. X wing looks really good - lost a lot of bulk, much more streamlined That said, it looks almost 'midi' - I can't imagine it's anywhere near as many bricks as the last two? Something about it makes me think the designers were trying to save bricks
  25. Too cool for us...wait a min, you have an account on a children's toy forum? Now that's odd... If u can't afford Lego I suggest quitting your Walmart greeter job or just stealing the stuff, sounds like u have little to lose anyway Lego Star Wars is a con - 10% price inflation per annum for reissues? But that's the game - and u ain't required to play...
