This clearly shows that the smaller sets have improved in the newer series. But I miss those mini-sets with only one figure in (Soldier's Arsenal especially. I only got one of that a couple of years after the release).

Lately I've bought all the new Pirates sets. I've also assembled a Black Seas Barracuda through many Bricklink orders. I just made an order for the sails. Hope they are in an okay condition. The only thing missing now is another big flag and the female pirate heads. I've bought way too many ship parts lately. I built the Imperial Flagship from Bricklink orders. Then I've got a spare set of Imperial Flagship sails. I've also got 4 of the Brickbeard's Bounty sails without skulls and the small sail from the same set. And a white prefab hull. I've got to stop buying lego until much later this year. I've also bought the 2009 Soldiers' Fort and about 10 redcoat guys.

Neo-Classic Pirates: Black Seas Barracuda
Sigolf Brimabane replied to BeardedNerdSE's topic in Pirate MOCs
Love it :D I just sort of finished building the Black Seas Barracuda yesterday. Still missing the sails and string... D: It's the best ship lego ever made. Your updated version looks great! -

I'm with David Thomsen. Would rather see a building, as I'm already working on building a ship for my bluecoats. : P -

They have appeared already at BR in Scandinavia. Apparently that's the only place where you'll find them here. -
Hmm... Would it be possible to commission someone here to make replicas of the sails for the BSB? Originals are hard to come by. I don't feel confident enough to make my own xD I might make a try first though.

Is this the real-life Imperial Soldiers' colony?
Sigolf Brimabane replied to Lord James's topic in LEGO Pirates
Really cool! Sounds plausible :) That place looks just like the Lego! -
I'm thinking of taking inspiration from the BSB (for which I'm also collecting parts... Not sure how to get the sails though). So adding wheels to the cannons, having an open gun deck and an upper deck. I'll probably also add a stern piece to make the ship a bit longer. Unfortunately I don't have more of the middle hull pieces. The stern works prety well already. But a stern piece will give it a bit more height which is needed when making a deck.

I have finally built the Brick Bounty. She looks much better in the brick. But I'm planning to modify it (build a whole new ship completely).

I can picture the soldiers with zombie or skeleton heads <3 In fact... Maybe I'll try it out at once x) -

Good news! They found it :D There had been a mistake in the system. So I'm picking it up tomorrow. :) -

I'm not sure how it works :( There's a lot of money at stake though. And I don't think I'll be able to afford to buy those sets anytime soon again... And then it would be like paying 200% of the original price for the sets D: -
2015 LEGO Pirates Rumors and Discussion
Sigolf Brimabane replied to Yawgmoth's topic in LEGO Pirates
By this time I should have had all the pirate sets... But it seems it may have been lost :( My only hope is that my local postal servicepoint finds the parcel on Sunday when they go through it all. It says in their database that the parcel has been delivered to the receiver, which would be me. I haven't got it, so there must be something wrong in the system. I don't have much hope though. -
Bricklinking 10210 The Imperial Flagship?
Sigolf Brimabane replied to Colossus's topic in LEGO Pirates
If you're willing to swap colours on some of the parts, it's possible (some of the parts are ridiculously expensive). I did it recently. The sails are a must have though, and can be a bit tricky to look for. I can take a picture of my "budget" Imperial Flagship that I have been writing about here several times now without posting a picture (I'm still waiting for the lattice pieces actually, so that's why I haven't got round to do it). -
I got them at Magic Shop as well. Good thing I managed to snag two sets when they were hot, lol. Are there none left now? I should probably take a picture of my budget Imperial Flagship. Basically I have exchanged the masts for black parts and most of the dark brown parts for black (unfortunately the stern looks a bit bad with the brown "rounded slope" parts instead of dark brown like the hull. And the 1x3 black arches have become regular bricks, who would have thought they were so rare? I also changed the dark bley fence pieces for black ones because of the high price. Edit: I'm still waiting for my pirates sets to arrive from the Netherlands!!! It's been almost two weeks ;____; I am starting to worry that they might be lost... Which would be an expensive disaster since I got all of the sets at once (plus one extra of Soldiers' Outpost).

Brethren of the Brick Seas?
Sigolf Brimabane replied to Admiral Croissant's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
If Lego make a good cat's head, you won't be able to stop me from making Captain Claw (y). Or does a good head already exist? :D Skeleton Pirates must exist! -

But if I wanted to make MOCs inspired by Captain Claw, then? -
Brethren of the Brick Seas?

I think stuff like mermaids and Davy Jones and the Flying Dutchman should be allowed. But not people throwing fireballs or kamehameha and stuff. :) -
I like the skeleton because it's reminiscent of Redbeard Runner. : P

What is the best way to make these sails? I started a project today, and would like to use some of these old sails... Will they look good on regular paper? It is too expensive to buy the original sails.

2015 LEGO Pirates Rumors and Discussion

Jeg er helt sikker. It looked like the same catalogue as the one I have at home, but on the last page it has the pirate sets and it says "Nytt i mars". So they must have updated the catalogues. I didn't take one so I don't have pictoral evidence. But that's how it is. Hopefully they'll turn up in a few days. -
It's astonishing really how BB can be so popular now. Before they came out I don't think I saw even one positive comment about it (this is an exaggeration of course). Anyways, I'm glad for having new pirate sets, but I must say none of the ships have come close to the Barracuda or the ship with black sails. Those look really great. Too bad I was too young to get those.
