AG - Introduction and Discussion
Sigolf Brimabane replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Andromeda's Gates
I guess this might be a stupid question, but how do I get my sigfig's picture into the banner thing? Do I have to edit it in? I don't think I have any programme that allows me to do that :/ -
I might be able to make a build in a few days. What can I do as a driver, and where am I allowed to build? For example, if I go to Serium and I want to build a cool car, what can I use that for? And how does the whole accumulating resources thing work? I thought the Driver job sounded cool, but I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do, since most other jobs seem to involve a lot of driving as well. Edit: Okay, read up on it. Serium doesn't sound like an ideal place for land type vehicles. Am I allowed to make a build where my character transports awesomnium in his vehicle to, say, the space-ship? And how to portray said awesomnium in a build?

My older brother will be joining shortly as well. Just saying because there was a misunderstanding when we joined GOH back in the days. We have the same taste in minifigures so our figs were kind of similar, so people thought we used the same figure or something or that one of us was a troll account. xD -

Ace seeking employment at Kawashita as a driver. 100x100 picture: (Name may change if I find something better... It's really difficult coming up with a sci-fi name. Was thinking of "Mayon Ace" but that might be too funny) -
The bluecoats sure know how to party in your pictures :)

Mine and my brother's bluecoats: Not included are the governors/admirals. We also have some redcoats and dark bluecoats.

Very cool! The small ship is really well done. :) I like the fencing swordfish.

I also have the same problem with seeing colours. I can't always distinguish them. Orange tones can look like light green to me. When I was drawing pictures as a kid I always took brown pencils instead of red ones. : P Colour "blindness" can be a pain in the *** sometimes.

Wow! This is excellent! :)

Nice work. I do not agree that it is the perfect size though. From the side it looks like it's only half a ship. Would be more proportionate if you add at least two or three hull pieces I think. Otherwise it looks splendid :) Edit: I believe it is the height that does it. A ship of that height should have a matching length :)

2015 LEGO Pirates Rumors and Discussion

You can't get free shipping on B&P, but the shipping is very cheap so it is no worries. I just ordered another 15 shakos yesterday. I hope they have that many. It has the piece number 2545. Edit: Or did you mean the printed shako? That one is definitely sold out. 2545 is the old unprinted one. -

Brethren of the Brick Seas Poll

I just wondered something. Where do the darkbluecoats (revolution soldier) fit in? I guess they are hard to army build, my brother and I have nine, but yeah... Where to place them? :) Also... Will Aztecs and Achu be in the "natives" group? -
Yellow is perfect (y) If I had more yellow and white bricks, I would build a cool house that I started designing. So yellow is great. :)

Out of sets that I own... it would have to be BSB that I got only recently. I also like Skeleton Crew because it was the only pirate set I had as a wee lad. I was born in 93 so I missed out on a lot of pirates. I also kind of like Red Beard Runner for nostalgic reasons. We (my brother and I) have the rerelease. I remember when we bought it, we didn't know that it was a rerelease so we thought we had been lucky to find a very old set. The old Redbeard is such an awesome figure!

[WIP] Bluecoat Flagship Indestructible
Sigolf Brimabane replied to Sigolf Brimabane's topic in Pirate MOCs
Hmm... I can't take all the credit for the wing technique : P I have seen it on here before, but can't remember the name of the member who used it. But it was on a white ship. It is a bit tricky to get it to stay where you want it. I have no idea what era actually... Kind of "generic late 1700s or so" I think. I've been trying to find pictures of ships, and especially of the decks, but I don't really know what to search for :/ I don't know many ship terms in Swedish, and even less in English. I think I have seen references to some book on here? Those tutorials are pretty neat. I would have to make quite a few bricklink orders for that I think. And first I'd need to try it out in LDD, which I suck at. Would be great to know what quantities I'd need. Do you have any suggestions for the stern? The bottom that is, where I have all those arch pieces. I don't think it came together very nicely there. Still a bit better than the regular hull piece though. A custom hull is out of the question Edit: A ship I would like to "copy" is Götheborg. I often see her to port when I go to uni. -
I'm building a bluecoat ship. I disassembled my Imperial Flagship and am now trying to build a better ship. Still... I'm not too happy with how it is turning out. I wanted to have a removable deck, but I'm finding it hard to make one. I'm also not sure what colours or techniques to use for the cabin. It will have three sails like the Imperial Flagship, and I'm also thinking of adding a fourth small mast with a triangular sail. Comments, ideas etc. would be very welcome. The new torsos work very well with the old heads! :D

This is extremely cool! Never take it apart! :)

I think Soldiers' Outpost and Treasure Island are two really well designed sets. As for the Fort and Brick Bounty, I sadly have to agree. I still like the fort and ship for the figures and flags and some of the parts : P -
I have looked at my white hull pieces. They have this problem but ALMOST UNNOTICEABLE. The gap on mine is like half a millimetre or so. But it is a start. I have one older reddish brown hull piece as well, which doesn't have the problem at all.

My order was sent the day after. I aleady regret not ordering more than eleven xD Are they sold out now?
-
Thanks for the shako info. Just ordered 11 of them. I got three "greencoat" torsos as well, and two bluecoats. Also got another big bluecoat flag (I will have three with this one). And three cannons (why are they so expensive?) Too bad there are no black tricorns :S

That crane was really nice Cool boat!
