Close to the port town Puerto del Lobo lies the fort, La Fortaleza del Lobo. It overlooks the sea and protects the Bluecoat colony. Lately things have been going badly for the colony. Pirates have intercepted their supply ships. Resources are running scarce. The crops have failed as well and many villagers have resorted to stealing bread from the soldiers' bakeries. The governor, who is bathing in red wine and pleasuring himself with slave girls, decides to set an example. And who doesn't enjoy a public execution? Some boys who have stolen bread are being executed by a firing squad, while a baker who has handed out bread to the poor is being executed with the governor's favourite invention: the guillotine. At the end of the day, the soldiers all enjoy a hearty stew served by the new chef. It's very rich in iron. What the soldiers don't know, is that the chef is a cannibal. So that's where the bodies ended up after the last execution! The kitchen is located at the back of the fort (it has an interior with dungeon, storage, governor's office etc. Might upload more pictures later or elsewhere). And here's a shot from the side of the fort:

Shortly after ordering most of the parts for Renegade Runner (all except triangular sail and large pirate flag) I found a complete Renegade Runner with instructions AND box on an auction site... And I just won that Renegade Runner as well. Heh... So I wasted some money on the parts S: Should have found the auction earlier. But I'll see if I can sell some lego I don't want (problem is I want all lego ;_; ). There will be pictures. Do you think €70 was a good price for a good condition RR with box? (€75 with shipping). The cheapest complete with box and instructions I can see on bricklink is €88.

Bricklinking 10210 The Imperial Flagship?
Sigolf Brimabane replied to Colossus's topic in LEGO Pirates
It looks much better as a bluecoat ship -
A ship that I hope to be able to build some time. I can't afford the Skull's Eye Schooner yet, and I'm collecting the pieces for Renegade Runner. But I still need a triangular sail, and for this Skull's Eye Renegade I will also need to get the big sail from Skull's Eye Schooner. The one with the skull. She will be rigged the same way as Imperial Flagship 6271. Captain Ironhook will be in command of this vessel. Feel free to suggest a new name while you're at it. As you can see, some parts weren't available in LDD. The palm/lantern pieces should be blue, but since they cost a fortune I think green ones will be fine. Anyway, here goes:

2015 LEGO Pirates Rumors and Discussion
Sigolf Brimabane replied to Yawgmoth's topic in LEGO Pirates
Hmm... Since Nexo Knights doesn't seem like something for me, maybe ninjago pirates might be interesting. Otherwise I think I'll try to collect some more classic stuff instead. -
Thanks! It seems no one has mentioned the Swedish names yet. :) I see now that the Swedish names are similar to some other European ones. The American names are still the best ones for some reason. They all have alliteration! Btw... A funny thing about the Swedish name for Eldorado Fortress (Fort Brass) is that 'brass' is outdated slang for weed.

Wow, this is great. I think I see some NSFW content... or did that woman just happen to drop a penny in front of that man? : P

Wow... Piratendreimastbarg and Einmastpiratensegler were especially uninspired :/ Historischer Freihafen as well xD They didn't even make an effort :(

I know there is a thread with names... But I can't find it. I went to my favourite toy store today and looked at old catalogues. I noticed that the pirate sets in Sweden had quite different names compared to the English names: Black Seas Barracuda = Tigerhajen (The Tiger Shark) Skull's Eye Schooner = Tigerhajen II Eldorado Fortress = Fort Brass Imperial Trading Post = Port Piraya Saber Island = Fort Lillön (Fort Little-Island) Caribbean Clipper = Havsörnen (The Sea Eagle) Imperial Flagship = Sjölejonet (The Sea Lion) Renegade Runner = Piratskeppet Kaparen Gouvernor Broadside = Guvernör Bredsida Admiral Woodhouse = Amiral Ruff Captain Roger = Kapten Roger Does anyone know if these are based on for example the German or British names? And does anyone know more names of the figures? (Please merge this with the old topic if possible)

I'm a shopaholic as well... I've recently spent €270 on the parts I needed for Imperial Trading Post, Imperial Flagship (6271), Forbidden Island, Lagoon Lock-Up, Raft Raiders. That is without many of the figures. I've only bought one admiral Woodhouse. I got the brown vest merchant/pirate from the Trading Post as well. And a few of the pirates and soldiers. I still only have one Redbeard, but I don't really see the need for more than one. He's not a good character for "army building". So the one I have with Black Seas Barracuda is enough. The two other sets I've got from before are Eldorado Fortress (without Redbeard and Broadside) and Caribbean Clipper (with Broadside). I want to get Rock Island Refuge very badly as well... And maybe some day I'll get Renegade Runner. I can't see me getting Skull's Eye Schooner for a long while though. And I'm not very interested in the Armada sets. Armada Flagship just looks odd with the colours. Edit: Btw, does anyone know if there are instructions for the alternative build in the bottom right corner here:

PTV 2015 small: Only imperial stormtroopers are so precise...
Sigolf Brimabane replied to jansued's topic in Pirate MOCs
Hehe, this is really cool! My entry, which maaaay be finished in time, is also supposed to have a scene similar to this 'un. The downside of turning in one's entry late is that everything cool might already have been built x)- 23 replies

2015 LEGO Pirates Rumors and Discussion
Sigolf Brimabane replied to Yawgmoth's topic in LEGO Pirates
I also think that as standalone sets, the new ones are not that appealing as compared to for example the original line of Pirates sets. I have Eldorado Fortress, Black Seas Barracuda and Caribbean Clipper "on display" at home. I would never put Brick Bounty on display. But it looks better than for example Redbeard Runner. The new sets have cooler minifigs than the old ones (apart from the bandanas). And they make good parts packs. Otherwise I agree with the great posts on here lately, we're not being cheated by Lego in any way. And Lego seems more popular than ever, which means they are apparently doing something right. For fans of the classic themes such as Pirates and Castle, it seems we might not see such sets for a long time though, because that doesn't seem to be what's hip with the kids these days. They want more fantasy and sci-fi elements. Vehicles seem to be really popular as well. -
2015 LEGO Pirates Rumors and Discussion

I loved Cutthroat Island when I was a kid. I would love to see it again :/ It's not that easy to find though. It was on tv in Sweden a few years ago late at night. I only saw the second half of it then. I remember it having all the good pirate tropes. Treasure map in pieces etc. -

Everything is awesome! I was going to write the same comment as Cpt. Braunsfeld, but he already wrote it :( I love Deadbeard's tomb! I heard he once sailed together with the notorious Captain Neckbeard. But these may just be rumours... Love the window shot, so cosy! And the redcoat in the barrel! :)

@Plaid Beard: Whence comes the torso on the guy with the tan hat? (The hair+hat is custom modified, right? Looks good). I have a problem finding good civilians. Some of the hobbit torsos are really good.- 315 replies
