  1. Somehow I missed this a month and a half ago. I really like the wooden touches and stacks of materials laying around, they certainly add a lot to the atmosphere. I do think the splotches of snow would have been more effective as fewer but larger areas of snow cover; all the little white spots are cluttering up the dio a bit too much for me.
  2. Fantastic Asian architecture--I'm having trouble believing only taking a day and a half though! Congrats on the frontpage!
  3. The black looks really nice here. Even I would give you a thumbs up, but I'm on my phone this week and am limited. :(
  4. This is just lovely!
  5. Nice counter - I really like the boat!
  6. Nice use of color here my friend! I do wish there was a picture with everything in focus though.
  7. Perfect! I really like how the waves worked out going out of focus.
  8. Nice build! I agree with Captain Dee about the desert island--I think it's the combination of the rounded corners and the blue cloth. Kinda feels like Pirates.
  9. I believe Brickshelf has a moderating period before pictures you upload there are shown by the site by anyone but you. You might have to wait a couple days for the moderation process. Or, you could go with Flickr instead.
  10. Another great section. I like the tapestry/drapes/door/rug/whatever design you guys have been using, and again the colors are wild, but they somehow work.
  11. Hehe - we almost did! Thanks ME!
  12. Yeah, the more I look at them, the more I agree with you guys. Lesson learned I suppose. Wow, thanks Gideon! This is high praise coming from a photographer like you.
  13. Dark blue and normal red usually. For future reference, Mitgardia is green and yellow, Avalonia is dark green and sand green, Nocturnus is red and gold (although the Black Spire might disagree!) and Varlyrio is white and gold.Ska, since you've asked for comments on the New Member Guide.... I suggest adding the above linked pics to the guide. I tried to find pics of the "standard" military/government figs that usually represent each Guild. I was hoping there was one from Gideon as his general fig choices seem to have been chosen by many of the builders in this crazy Kali Book II challenge, but I haven't found one with with the Kaliphin standard like the Mitgardian and Avalonian pics. Of course Nocty doesn't have a "typical" army fig, so I snagged a pic from their thread that had the standard and a cool fig.
  14. Well done! The snow and ice is great, and I really like how you did the flags, I might have to use that sometime.
  15. Thanks all Yeah, I can see what you mean there. I was trying to gain some sense of flowing (Qar-Akhen River) water left to right with those tiles. I guess it didn't quite work.
  16. Thanks folks! Yeah, I kinda stole the window design from you!
  17. Robuko, his was a perfect representation of the original subject matter.
  18. Sounds like you're close to a mental breakdown! Your description had me chuckling pretty hard! The commander has some interesting fig-parts combos.
  19. Have you looked into the FAQ section of Eurobricks yet? This thread should cover your question.
  20. Thanks everyone! This was a ton of fun to build. As soon as the railing went up, I knew there was going to be a crazy minifig going (mostly) airborne.
  21. This is a cute little build. (Yes, I typed "cute".) The gate as columns is fantastic. Not digging the trans blue though.
  22. The squareness of the tower makes me think more "WWII watchtower" than "medieval watchtower", but it's grown on me since yesterday. I kind of like it.
