Congratulations matey's -
This is a really nicely designed scene. I especially like the construction of the 'tumbled down' style roof and timber framing for the building. My only wee suggestion would be to try and vary the positions of the trolls as they seem to be too gathered together...how did they not get spotted as the party turned the corner :) maybe more camouflage or some climbing the tree...or a group of them flanking the house to effect a really good ambush trap. Great work...I really like your style of build.

Yeah I agree with Joelle...I have bought my 8 month old niece her first Lego Duplo set (the letters box) so she can begin with colours and shapes and hopefully building :)

The position and future of Friends and minidolls in Lego?
gazumpty replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I totally agree with this point. I feel they can mix from their own brand of Lego but should not be mixed into other themes. If people wish to have the 'dolls' and the wide variety of coloured brick options that 'Friends' sets offer then you can just buy the kits on offer. All be it, TLG should start broadening the 'Friends' range with more options than pretty colours and sunshine and rainbows. But not try and interject them into already established themes. I am one of these AFOL that buys the kits and sorts them out for MOC/MOD and random build use. I have on occasion purchased a good 'Friends' set and I have found that the dolls work well once mixed in and designed for. -
Very nice work. The minifigs are brilliant and the design of the house is very cute and detailed.

I feel they should make this again also...at a similar scale to the Town Square set we have had recently :) There are an awful lot of trucks in the last wee while....they need somewhere to stop off :D
-
Aw what a nicely worked MOD, can't wait to see more!

This has really captured the 'Art-Deco' style really well. I love the white colour choice with red trim.

I love the zoo :) very original addition to a MOC/MOD layout. Great work!

I like what you have done here...though I feel you need to decide on a scale of vehicle as they are throwing off the whole feel of the build. I've never been a fan of how TLG have designed their stock vehicles etc as more often than not they just don't fit in with the detail or style of a more considered MOC/MOD layout. Though I suppose its the curse of the AFOL....the original designs are aimed at the 'kids'.

This is brilliant...I love the style in which these pictures were shot. Thats me sorted for some desktop backgrounds :D

Hey this is a really cool wee build...I love the reveal from above and the contrasting above and below ground details. Being a total newbie here but what is 'Freebuild' :) Great work though!
-
Im jealous....but it makes total sense! I feel all houses I design from now on will have a 'Lego Room' in the accomodation schedule
-
This is fantastic work...I love the tiled floor mosaic detail and the gallery above the main hall....amazing!
-

This really captures the scene beautifully. Would love to see it shot in a darkened studio to match the actual movie still!

[MOC] That’s no moon. It’s a super heroes station !
gazumpty replied to R5-N2's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Wow...on my quest of becoming more aware of what goes on in the world of EB...I think I've found my new favourite MOC. The level of skill and detail shown here is amazing. The Bat crane is brilliant :) and I really like the way you have created an area for each individual character and personality. Great job!! -
[SoNE Ep II Free build] A Long Time Ago...

The photography with the planet in the background is inspired :D -
I have to concur with all of the above...the cutting effect has been done brilliantly and the detail of the corridor is excellent. If only you could now design the bubble shield around the droideka....
-
Nice work on the design of this fighter...good luck!
-
Nice touch with the use of old bricks...adds to the battle worn feel of the scene. I love this wee MOC...it exploits the smaller scale with great wee details to bring it to life. Wonder if the aftermath could be more like the Empire taking prisoners or inspecting the dead and injured rebels....since the convoy jetted off and left these guys to fight it out!

gazumpty replied to Pellaeon's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Good work bumping this up Spyderlord...Im trying to up my input into the EB world and I love to see a lot of what happened before I graced these boards. This is a brilliant build and the details are excellent. Going to have a peak at the LXF too. -
Sorry to add to an old post but this deserves the attention. I love seeing this level of work from the EB hoard! Brilliant MOC and amazing work with the instruction package!

This is brilliant....the scale suits the UCS range. Great work!
