  1. Aww I love it rriggs. You have taken the same approach as me....updating a classic town set with some modern twists. Got another few days build to go (been distracted by the arrival of my first modular) and we can compare note great work!
  2. Wow great work as always LT
  3. This has amazing details and the minifigs are really put together well!!
  4. this has made my day...time to dust of my C&H books :D. Amazing work!!!!
  5. Yes...is about time this was created. Great work!
  6. I love the way this City creation is of a different mould and style from the often too frequent Modular layouts. Can't wait to see this one develop and grow. It has a real organic feel to it. Great work!
  7. I agree...the Megablocks Halo stuff is actually not too bad...the figures are awful quality but the design and build of the ships and vehicles is spot on. The violence argument put out by TLG is nonsense, last time I looked The Lord of the Rings had some tasty combat scenes with heads and limbs being lopped off at every opportunity. Seems to me that its the balance of revenue against taste thats the issue.
  8. I may be going down the line of a vision for the future :D
  9. ...simply astounding...Legoland quality!
  10. Glad you did timmyc1983, as a bit of a newbie member I love seeing posts that I wasn't around to gaze upon. I love the attention to detail and the workshop area and Racing Hall of Fame
  11. Your a crafty bugger LT!
  12. Because you can't help yourself LT... your generosity knows no bounds!! I believe that will be the basis of what Im going to design but on a Classic 32x32 garage baseplate that I found last night
  13. I'm thinking Shell...as I have some classic sets kicking about with some printed Shell logos and plates.
  14. Beautifully detailed and expertly built...excellent work guys It's great to see MOC's of things that you normally wouldn't fathom from lego bricks!
  15. As this is my first real entry to a building contest on here, I think I'm going to stay true to my original design ethos and follow how I approached my Police Station MOD (btw...nearly polished that one off.) I love 'Classic Town' and the new modulars so I'll be going down a similar route to yourself LT and create a more detailed build based on the 'Classic' scale.
  16. Agreed that LDD should be for design only...but brick built should be the final entry. And to be honest I will vote for brick built over LDD every time!
  17. Great advice there LT ... I'm curreently in between designing my CMF entries and awaiting some parts for the Servo Showdown. Hopefully get them all done!
  18. The professional studies are over...tthis new architect is gonna hit the Lego big time :D

  19. I have my first modular...The Fire Brigade...on it's way!! Can't wait!
  20. Nice work and great choice of colours. I also love the way in which you have angled the front facade on the Mocha build...love to see it 'Brick-Built'.
  21. Ah in my short break off the EB boards and you have been a busy wee aussie beaver do you guys have beavers? (the animal btw...dirty mind!) I love the scene developing here lightningtiger! Building on many fronts and yet the standard does not drop...scary!
  22. I love your style alex54... I can't wait to apply the same style to my first modular when it arrives :D
  23. This is quickly becoming one of my favourite threads to follow greg3.. I love the way your town has life to it every update. I bet some some of the scenes you wish you could keep
  24. I have a set on its way now from eBay...I'll update this thread once I get a crack at it!
