  1. Presenting the Traig IV splibble, eating fruit from an obunga tree (technically a giant bush).
  2. Good work, I like the balcony a lot. Very clever parts manipulation.
  3. Nice work on sneaking nausea into so many builds, and really excellent use of those antennas as larvae.
  4. "Are you sure this was the right vehicle for the job?" "Are you kidding me? This is a '69 Hellby Cobra! It's got more horsepower than there are horses!" "Yes, but we are searching for the missing scientist, Dr. Fabian Killjoy. We don't want to be fast, we want to be thorough." *vroom* "Who knew rescue missions were so much fun!" "By the way, I hope you realise that the Cobra has only one seat!" ~~ "Oh my goodness, it's a long way down! How did this even happen? I mean, I understand why the reactor exploded, but how did I land in such an absurdly precipitous point while completely unscathed. Wait, what's that sound?" "The cavalry has arrived! Jump on!" "DO YOU THINK YOU COULD SLOW DOWN?!" "NO!" ~~~ Enjoyed this one. I used to build a lot of cars so this was trying to make a flying vehicle using the same styling cues. My first foray into some forced perspective. Stuck it on a ball joint so I could have fun with the shots Flickr
  5. Great stuff, the build tells the whole story on its own
  6. This is lovely, is the water technique your own?
  7. Oh my god! Look at that thing! If MANTIS want this planet they can have it
  8. You missed a word while trash talking our Esteemed Leader's spelling
  9. Ooh you sneaky Octan...
  10. Great use of the fire piece's connection possibilities, it works very nicely for the flow.
  11. Heads up, you should have got 350 Biomass for B04 Barnius, not 200. Otherwise the map doesn't have rotational symmetry. I've messaged Bob - now never say Kawashita aren't honourable!
  12. There's something ironic about this post...
  13. Au contraire, I was under the impression that all scores were "applied" simultaneously already, so this is like a change in the opposite direction!
  14. Oh you, Octan... And David, that's a great shot Did you use UV light? Because it looks like it...
  15. Re: when changes comes into effect. You guys need to read the first post
  16. A lot of the roles can (and should) be flexible. Explorers can do many things near the surface. Engineers can make buildings or be testing prototypes of stuff. Scientists can also be testing prototypes The only restrictive role IMO is driver, that could do with an additional thing to make it more versatile, personally I would have liked it to have included all types of water vehicles. But even that's not so bad, there's a lot of vehicle activities that can be built.
  17. Join Kawashita. For the honour. (Also, let's be honest, Dark Red is just the coolest colour.)
  18. You do some very cinematic MOCs, I like it!
  19. That sunset is superb, really impressive.
  20. Quite. MANTIS posted a couple builds before Kawashita on Guinevere this week, when they already had a 14 point head start from last week. There is every chance that Kawashita will end the week on par or with more than MANTIS, but depending on those early scores we might end up with a 50 to 40 point planet where the 40 point built earlier and therefore "secured" it. Setting it up as a race just sounds stressful and less fun.
  21. I agree strongly with this. The results could come in any time from Monday to Weds or even Thursday if the judges have real lives outside of here. If you're waiting for the results to see if you can build on a desert world or an ice world, and then make a 1000+ piece scene... it shouldn't be a surprise if you're submitting at the last minute! Plus, 90% of the time it is obvious (or at least not important) where teams are going and there is no advantage to last minute builds.
  22. Quick Narbilu, transfer the 500 credits before Bob realises you haven't paid for your merchandise!
  23. I like this idea, or there could be a mandatory difference of 10. So if Kawashita gets 30 first, we dominate, then if MANTIS score 40 the week after, they dominate. Also, I quite like the idea of removing credit transfers. I've been sucked into it as it has become important for playing, but I do believe that I'd feel more accomplishment if I'd earned a whole item myself.
  24. I'm having great fun with this game. Thanks Bob et al. Better put the weekly deadline in the rules post so that it's not hidden away 22 pages deep
  25. I definitely think that the time of the week shouldn't matter. Otherwise players will be posting builds before the last week's judging is in. Frankly, the reward for posting earlier in the week is that more people see your build and give you feedback... I believe that each week, corporations should be scored before aliens and then bonuses are rewarded. So Octan score 30, an alien scores 3 and is subtracted, and Octan gets no bonus yet as they did not reach 30 after judging.
