  1. Great work, I really like the scenes building up to the final shot too.
  2. I am planning on meeting up with a couple more adventurers along the way and forming a squad of sorts :D
  3. Cool build Mike, the integration of the boulder bottom is very clever in particular :)
  4. It was originally Serium, but given that we should be efficient I have changed the details to Lorstan. I hope that is allowed :)
  5. Good work Dragonfire, consistent small builds will get you far in this company :)
  6. That's cool! Someone definitely needs to build an Awesomnium transport to make sure this gets used productively!
  7. Of all the companies that don't need more members
  8. I do like this scene. The trees are curious though, they look like they keep growing in the trunk while the leaves always stay near the top!
  9. I really like the gentle simplicity of your builds. And they're always a lot of fun!
  10. This is a nice little ship. I do think microscale is a good way to deal with how so many spacefaring things are just going to be massive in scale compared to minifigs.
  11. This is stellar, very clean and good quality. I look forward to seeing inside!
  12. Thanks for all the feedback everyone :) Currently the blue dish has to be removed to get access, then the rest folds nicely up. I might rejig the cockpit a little, I know already that I could make it work without removing anything in real bricks, it's been a challenge getting LDD to cooperate. I'll get a pic after I've done that. As for the sub thing, that does make some sense. Best not to get derailed by it. I've already forfeit my first 3 point bonus, so it's not a big loss - I'll just have to make it up by making a lot of walkers once we get out of Serium!
  13. If I may suggest, it would be best to get some more MANTIS players so the teams are balanced :) Octan currently have the most players.
  14. Thanks all! That seems a little... limiting? I dunno, I did flying above the water and now being under the water, it seems like I was only meant to be on the water! I realise it's not my call, but thematically I think a driver can drive a sub.
  15. Planet: Lorstan C08 Tags: Exploration, submarine The submarine was running low on fuel. It was time to head back to the surface. The Commander pushed the button on his helmet to talk. "This is K04 Commander Turtle. I have not found the deposit, returning to base now." The intercom crackled indistinctly. "czz- crkcrk pl-crk repeat zrk" He took a breath, ready to repeat his instructions, when a flicker caught his eye. Up ahead, the faint gleam showing the tip of an awesomnium seam. Seconds later, the aquadroid accompanying him burbled, "Awesomnium detected at 55.133/90.045." "This is K04 Commander Turtle. I have found the awesomnium, repeat, I have found the awesomnium." The radio was completely silent. He noted the coordinates, and tilted the sub's nose towards the surface ready to bring home the good news. 95% of bricks from my own collection using an LDD technique I should probably write a tutorial on. A handful of parts I wanted but don't own, such as the 3 bionicle bits to make each engine :) Mandatory Flickr link. Edit: Detail on the improved cockpit on the left. Right is the original. Now it can open without removing bricks - the dish pulls a little out and the big panel lifts upwards. Edit 2: changed planet to better fit our corporate mission.
  16. Looks like it counted. And seems like I was the only player in the entire game to start by not building for my own job!
  17. I know from your Flickr that you are a good photographer, I just had a little difficulty seeing all the details :)
  18. "Excellent. We are approaching slightly ahead of schedule, expected arrival time is 0945!" Great rig, good and industrial. I'm also flattered about the links to my build :D
  19. Nice, I like this build and storytelling. I think this build also shows how hard it is to photograph black - I'd definitely suggest doing greebles or some surfaces in light bley like in Bob's example image of the MANTIS boardroom. You followed the guidelines perfectly, but deviating a little may give you easier photographs. I also love how the hairy face and glasses fits the "dysfunctional scientist" type so well!
  20. I think Ambo got the result that we all secretly hoped we would be. Same with a lot of numbers between 10 and 11000!
