  1. I saw the video a few days ago... this model is stunning great job
  2. This Although I would like to see a flagship without PF... just to see what the designers can come up with
  3. Me too! great little parts pack. Although I want the 42029 (same reason)
  4. the chassis is the least important part of a Lego Technic model
  5. yeah... me too... I may have a go with a [MTD] tag (this is a good way round the digital issue )
  6. This is brilliant great job - good compact chassis and great bodywork. not many can do that well (I certainly can't )
  7. to be fair... most common function of a model team model is steering, and the engines moving is a boats way of steering... so.... (plus I want to see another ship )
  8. I'd love to build a ship... just the small problem of parts and money
  9. I have next to no system bricks... so the only way I'd be able to take part would be if digital entries were allowed (I think I sit in the same boat as quite a few others )
  10. equally you could just make it in black, it wouldn't look as awesome, but still menacing
  11. This looks really really nice! love the details, and the V4 engine
  12. This is really nicely detailed, I love the out of proportion look- imagine this taking part in Top Gear's motorhome race
  13. Being able to choose the set is bad... someone could make an awesomely clever little model out of the 42020 helicopter (maybe that's all they've got), but it would be completely overshadowed by people making C models from 41999, 42030 and other flagships
  14. The dark blue panels make that look absolutely amazing STILL need to buy my RC motors
  15. I know Jim is from the Netherlands... but in England a point is our decimal place, and a comma can signify the split of thousands (23,567,546) but it's not an actual rule.. oh maths why do you have to be so confusing
  16. Congratulations to Doc, and all the other participants, all the entries were top notch It was originally designed a year ago, and the entries had to be new...
  17. I agree, and then you could make an LDD file to go alongside to show what the colours should be - some people, me included, just don't have the money to buy even £30 sets I normally buy one or two sets a year, depending mainly on what parts they include so just buying a set for a contest is out of the question
  18. You don't need a powerful motor, you need a fast one... is there any way to increase the gearing maybe? what gears are connected to the worm gears?
  19. The springs piterx uses are custom, they use the spring part from the normal shock absorbers, a 4 stud axle and stud and other attachments to it
  20. interesting steering how good is it?
  21. I think he's more in "how-many-models-can-I-make-in-a-week" mode Nice start, is it going to be orange?
  22. what motor are you using? that may be the culprit to it being so slow
  23. That would be quite hard, also instructions often do take longer to make than the model itself.. and as it's such a small model I am Sure you can build it from the photos
  24. Awesome detailed model! although the tracks seem to struggle a bit Is this because the tracks are too slack?
  25. This is a Technic, Mindstorms and Model team forum. Edison looks quite a good idea. A cheaper mindstorms system will certainly be accepted by schools
