Good ol' Big Sal! Good thing he had that trophy on him! Agreed that the rocks weren't quite there… maybe if they had a bit more of an expansion at their bottom? But for a first attempt, great work - I'm still trying to get them right myself. Also love the legs of the drill.
-
Yeah, agreed about the gaps, but other than that some superb and unique shaping! Love the area around the engines with those curves.

Awesome simple clean build, with enough colors and do-dads to really catch the eye! The micro build too… superb! Great looking space station, and really fits in with what we've seen on Kawashita space stations so far.

Really like that sub! Like how long the engine is! I wish there was a bit more floral growth on the ground, or at least some texture of some sort, but other than that good build!

Nice clean scene! Love the doorway!

Lovely build, Danny, and a cool direction for Dr. Long. I really love how she's coming along as a character. Maybe it's because every Octan build seems to mention her, but she's certainly one of the most towering figures in AG so far, and taking that myth (protocol loving, corporate serving, callous) and making it more personal is a good call. The builds match well for it, and I would say that shower's build is not lost - even those walls before the shower door are clearly at an intriguing angle. Love the one locker open as well. Cinematic!

Nice clean build - simple but effective! The aliens are raised enough that they look very imposing, which I really love. Can't wait to see how Kawashita prospers from this!

Great story, and great set of builds! Very happy to see that the Dust Demons have not been forgotten, and that Agent Raven will be dealing with them. The rock work is clean and simple, and that ship has great shapes and coloring. Love the big curves. The interior is a great build too - the seats and their "buckles" are great and I like the mechanical bits near the door a lot.

As others have said all around good build and story! Love the work on the ships. I think the only part that's a little funky to me at least is how flat the ship is right around the cockpit, doesn't feel very angular… but great work over all, and I can't wait to see what Beltar gets up to next. He's pretty brutal.

Awesome build! I love the lab - the stair cases in particular are real enjoyable, but the whole thing has a real sic-fi heavy duty feel! The tunneling is nice, and the photo of all the faces hovering over the camera is a great story-telling touch! I also love the Simpson… poor fellow.

OoC: My only concern is that you're the only one who can really target it.

OoC: Eric attacked from the back row, so the damage should have been halved before his SP was applied. Boomingham bats away the forest critters. "Look at that, Rex! Already proving yourself the only able member of our company." Boomingham glances at Eric, also barraged by forest creatures. "Not our best showing, old chap, but at least we can rest assured that without us Peg-leg and the boy are face down drooling already." Repeat All.

I think that was the joke with the item naming.

Yeah, the island and water are just fantastic! Feels great, organic, and very wooly and wild! Even the beach feels like it takes up an appropriate amount of space and looks like a good shape. The ship is superb as well - love all the curves especially right in front/below the cockpit. It seems to be lacking engines though, so maybe something to consider for the future. But great shaping, and a superb "first spaceship as AFOL".
-
Love the ship! Very Pikman feel to it, which is a lot of fun. And of course the force perspective is fantastic!
-
What a sleek smooth base! Love the "glass" components! The little recesses that look, to me, like doors are also very cool. And that plant life is a great color! The few dark blue crystals are a nice choice too to break up the single color scheme without being too jarring.

OoC: Bah! Hadn't even noticed he hadn't done it yet. Eric throws a Diseased Silverfish Wing from the back row at the Bird-of-Paradise. Battle Order Rex Boomingham Eric

In that same exact vein, I edited in a bit about the land of Etheria if anyone wants to do some pre-reading. Not much, but we will be getting a sneak peak before my quest goes up, and then I will be able to edit in a bit more!

Good reason to re-read quests: Chromeknight, Nerwen should have an extra 112 gold that you found, but we never added to your stats. You can post it in the thread of your current quest, but explain it was my fault. I'm sorry you didn't get the chance to use it before departing.

[Log Entry V - Marden] The cold wind whips at my face. It is a universe of extremes, I have discovered quite quickly. Off of the volcanic planets I yearn once more for their warm embrace. O fickle fate. The snow plains of Marden are misleading. It seems flat for miles... but the ground underneath is anything but. Everything is buried in a foot or more of snow, and it is impossible to tell what has only a small layer and where it is suddenly deep as the ocean. You can be walking along on what feels like flat terrain, and then, one more step, and you're up to your neck in snow, having accidentally walked over a small cliff. The ice is so tightly packed it is impossible to get yourself out. You must radio a partner. I have encountered this issue a total of four times since arriving on Marden. Gnarls has been my partner for that entire time, and finds each of my falls more hilarious than the last. He spends a good fifteen minutes laughing his behind off before digging me out each time. He calls me "boy" even more often than he previously did. I don't know how he has yet to fall. "Years of practice, boy!" he always proclaims to me. Whereas for me... this time I fell upon stepping of my "Snow Skimmer". Disgraceful. I am greatly ashamed, and if I were not so busy freezing I'm sure my face would be flushed deep red. Even now he laughs at me as snow seeps down my helmet and freezes my neck. I am supposed to be checking our radar devices - they are able to find life below the snow in a huge radius - but I am certain now I will be lucky if he digs me out before I turn blue. "Oh the weather outside is frightful." [End Log Entry] OoC: Didn't have time for a big build this week, but wanted to build something fun and small! Pretty happy with how it came out. The trees are... well, they are. I tried many techniques, but none worked. Would have liked to just have the gold flags hanging, but I didn't know how. Any suggestions for the future would be greatly appreciated!

Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion
Zepher replied to LEGOman273's topic in The Heroica Archive
Really, they are?? Color me excited! I'll probably be getting too busy in life to participate as actively in Heroica after a year or two from now, and I'm hoping to at least see some of the conclusion!
