  1. in practice I think that only even works for a wolverine, 'badger' really depends on what species you're most familiar with, and that body shape is nothing like a Eurasian badger for example.
  2. of course it might be a video camera the 'photographer' has...
  3. Would the Lois Lane torso in the new Batman v Superman sets not work?
  4. I heard it was a zombie medieval space-ninja Batman variant.
  5. I so want an actual penguin before a penguin suit ...
  6. I'd even say they were in quite a few non-usual places, as shops seemed to stock them to cash in (at least in London)

  8. Hah. Here's hoping it's actually called a 'penguinologist'!
  9. I thought I was excited about Scarecrow, Katana and Boomer. But then I heard about Blue Beetle! Thanks Lego!
  10. I don't think a zoo range has to be that heavy on new moulds to be honest. They would need a few (probably big cat, giraffe and penguin) but they could reuse a lot of moulds that haven't been used to full potential: zebra print on horse, panda print on bear, reuse monkeys, parrots, camels & crocodile.
  11. Normally I'm a nightmare about this sort of stuff - wrong animals and wrong places - but I would really like both a female eskimo and a penguin, so i'll let it pass. Maybe the penguin is lost. Wonder if she will reuse the Tribal Woman's baby too? I was thinking about other animal moulds suitable for an eskimo and you could have a baby seal ... but that might get ugly.
  12. These seem to be cropping up in 'normal' shops in UK now. Spotted some in local Sainsbury's today, at last.
  13. If you want flesh coloured, then Prince Dastan in the Ostrich Race set from Prince of Persia
  14. Hmm that's assuming that they go for a whole building rather than a play set. Even so there are still options - like Otto's school bus or the Comic Book shop
  15. I think (in the UK) Lego have been a bit savvy and given the Lego brand stores the first few weeks of selling these without competition - same with new superheroes sets etc. Good way to drive footfall to the stores - but sucks if you can't get to one!
  16. yes these threads are full of AFOLs wanting exclusive, specific versions of each character, and annoyed when figures are re-released!
  17. anyone spotted these 'in the wild' (ie somewhere other than a Lego store) in the UK yet?
  18. Personally I don't really have a problem with figures being reused. Not everyone (and certainly not the main target audience, which isn't us) has the ability to buy every set and expects each figure to be a unique variant. There's clearly a balance to be struck between growing the character roster and keeping key figures available though.
