  1. I don't understand the hate for licensed CMFs either. Looking at Batman series in terms if useful parts - new lobster, two new hairpieces, new dual moulded legs, a Christmas jumper, silver crab, fairy wings, two new skirts, the orca costume (and that head), Egyptian headdress & staff, capes galore and some great new flesh coloured heads. Simpsons, Disney and superheroes clearly appeal to different Lego and non Lego audiences. It's all good in my view.
  2. Pretty sure we can have more than one - as we have for Japan, Scotland, Mexico, Egypt, England, etc...
  3. I think an Australian 'bush man' has to be a high probability now, given the existence of a boomerang mould. If it comes with a new animal accessory though - my money'd be on a koala I'm really torn on the matador/toreador suggestion. On one hand I totally agree it's contentious and could be seen as glorifying or supporting bloodsports that would be hard to justify ... but on the other hand it's such an iconic costume and image. It's certainly been used by Disney and others in the past - so not sure where Lego would draw the line here. However perhaps it's the minifigure that 'no one would have expected to be made...'
  4. A good call - a well designed duck mould could be a 'real' one or a rubber one in another colour
  5. Or perhaps a nice bow? ? Indeed though after a bit of research I'm happy to report that there are lots of red coloured (when alive) lobster species out there too
  6. Indeed. But looking again at that friends dolphin - with a simpler eye print it might work fine. Not sure if I'm ready for yet another dolphin mould, to be honest. I have a bunch of the original ones which are great but they do obviously lack printing and much in the way of connectivity or build-with-ability.
  7. Hmm. Perhaps they are not there to be controlled, just happen to be living in the jungle where something else is happening ...
  8. This is great news, as a clever use of colour options. In theory of course a black version of a leopard or jaguar could be referred to as a 'panther'. I'm certainly hoping its generic enough to be either a jaguar or a leopard - as I'm sure that's not a big deal for most people.
  9. A big cat mould (that can be printed and come in various colours to be a tiger, leopard, puma, jaguar, Panther) is long overdue and would be very useful. Fingers crossed
  10. Dang! I didn't know until now how much I need a Lego pangolin.
  11. I think it more likely these days that we get specific species ( like a pigeon or crow, probably ) than a generic 'bird' - just going by the very specific nature of new Lego animals like the skunk, chihuahua, gull, owls, cobra & penguin : they are such a far cry from the generic 'bird' that was everything from hawk to parrot and every colour in between,
  12. I too hope for a 'live' coloured lobster. But I'm not holding my breath - in popular culture lobsters are usually only thought of as red.
  13. This is so awesome. I didn't know how much I needed this in my life.
  14. Toys R Us has 'buy one, get one half price' on all Lego. It also has the free minifigure pack if you spend over £45, AND if you spend over £100 then you get a £15 gift card. bought two Yellow Submarines yesterday and despite it only costing me £75 I got them, the free minifigures AND the £15 voucher.
  15. The seemingly-incomplete list, even allowing for all the Bat variants, seems quite light on female characters
  16. Does the UK use Euros now? I missed a memo ...
  17. No. The terrier from series 16 - dog show winner. A shoo-in for Toto with a recolour.
  18. I don't even know where to start with this. /sigh/
  19. How terribly considerate of you.
  20. These look like what my little nephews would put together from random CMFs.
  21. Yep, found them in my local Argos and WH Smiths yesterday too. They have most definitely landed in the UK
  22. A nun figure should be no problem - 'Sound of Music costume girl' ;)
  23. I don't follow this logic... Unless you're just saying the only themes that are legitimate 'themes' are those with an official Lego history?
  24. These are adorable. Penguin & bison are my favourites
