  1. Personally I don't really have a problem with figures being reused. Not everyone (and certainly not the main target audience, which isn't us) has the ability to buy every set and expects each figure to be a unique variant. There's clearly a balance to be struck between growing the character roster and keeping key figures available though.
  2. perhaps a translucent version of one of the hairpieces we have seen for 'crazy scientist' or the leaked one for Syndrome in Disney CMFs?
  3. With the glaring omissions in the cast line up - it almost seems like this was visualised as a three-series run, Skinner, Moe, Otto, SideshowBob, Barney, Radioactive Man, Mr Plow, Bumblebee Guy, Jasper, Sherri/Terri, Troy McClure, Dr Nick, Crazy Cat Lady, etc they could easily do another. I'm less inclined to believe some characters were left out because they were inappropriate than to spread the recognisable 'must haves' across the series.
  4. Made a visit to my nearest Lego store to seek these out and managed to get 14/16 - all shark suits & queens had gone already and they just had a few left. Have to say this series is awesome. Only one I'm a bit 'meh' about is the Kendo fighter. There are some great new parts, useful torsos, hairpieces & and accessories. Even some of the simpler looking figures have great detail, like the side leg printing on ballerina, animal control officer & wrestler. Astronaut's printing all over is simply superb. Laser robot & winged warrior come with great torso prints under their armour. For those moaning about the animal control officer vis a vis the reused hairpiece - everything else more than makes up for it: two great new faces, useful torso, with shirt sleeves, printed legs and the new net ... And of course the adorable skunk is worth it on its own.
  5. I think Chip & Dale have a decent shot in this, or a follow up, series. It's worth looking at the characters that not only keep cropping up in Disney merchandise, but also those that work across various markets. Chip & Dale, much like Stitch, seem to be on the permanent roster at any Disney store, and particularly popular for some Asian audiences. Of course, I'm also biased, and keen to see them as minifigures,
  6. No. Not necessarily - unless it was an historic version. A midwife as in a specialist nurse who has an excuse to come with a baby mould. In the UK a babysitter is just anyone who looks after someone's kids, it's not someone with a recognisable uniform or appearance.
  7. I'm really not sure what a 'babysitter' looks like, or of it's likely to see a reuse of the baby piece. Can however think of a few CMF ideas that could else it : female Eskimo, islander, or what about a midwife?
  8. either Russell or Mr Fredrickson from UP would be amazing ...
  9. Might also be worth considering that the soccer series is going to be available in Europe, but probably not the USA ...so there's some sense in staggering this to give appropriate shelf time in the differing markets - namely Europe gets more of a run of series 15 before the soccer series shows up.
  10. I've been wondering about this. If you cross over the various Disney and Pixar movies the are massive size differences - from characters that live inside someone's head, are insects, rodents, human sized or monsters. We saw the Itchy & Scratchy figures be the same size as regular figures ... So will we see Eg Chip & Dale square up as full size figure to Donald?
  11. I had hoped we were past this. But hey, enjoy your misogyny and heteronormative BS. What year is this?
  12. This is getting off topic, but the comment responded to is one that makes my hackles rise. It's not me being PC, it's me knowing that not all boys won't hate Minnie, and all 'princesses' won't hate Hook. That's a generalisation that might work for many, or even most, but still ain't helpful. If you want to avoid certain characters or get certain characters, or avoid duplicates - that's fine, by all means do that. But if you make generalisations, sometimes it's helpful to consider why you have them challenged.
  13. Presumably - if named players then the back of each torso will vary with names and numbers ...
  14. Yup. But it's a bigger problem than this thread, this series, or just Lego ...
  15. Well, yes, if we are excluding the various moulded heads in normal CMF series (aliens, Minotaur, clockwork robot etc) which started as far back as series 3!
  16. Blue Beetle is on the top of my DC wish list for sure ... But the BTBATB Outrageous version of Aquaman could be fun too
  17. Sounds like a logical figure to go with the faun, for Narnian reasons ...
  18. ... Or the LOTR giant Eagles ( and maybe the velociraptors & other dinos)
  19. I do feel Lego are now trolling us with the unused goat mould. Someone, somewhere is hiding under a bridge, sniggering ...
  20. so much yes. Southern hemisphere animals are woefully underrepresented koala could work with a zoo keeper, wildlife cameraman, bushman CMF.
  21. Nah, simple solution : have a prince charming and a 'frog suit guy' in the same series ;)
  22. This is how I feel about leg prints that either don't match up colour wise, or don't let you move the legs without looking terrible ... Yet most people here seem keen on leg printing.
  23. you can never have too many quinjets, right?
  24. It's been needed ever since the eskimo arrived. But winky face noted.
  25. Perhaps with a female Eskimo or islander ...
