I've always thought it a shame that one of the snakes on the top of the head wasn't a minfig-hand sized handle, so that Perseus could hold the severed head aloft by the hair. It is just about possible if angled correctly.

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

In the US. They are selling in the UK, but they are easy to get hold of, they are by no means selling out and having restocking trouble here.- 4,155 replies

It makes me wonder, if a website with a large membership could organise 10000 of its members to all vote for a few really crap projects, or better still, 100 projects. What would lego do when 100 projects all reach the same review stage?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
MAB replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Surely the primary intention of them is to make sure they sell, so the user can do whatever they want with them. You've italicised Collectable, but remember Lego do not call them Collectable Minifigures, they are Minifigures Series 15 and so on. They occasionally use collectable with a small c to describe the series, but normally not as the title. I don't think Lego cares if people collect full sets or assemble armies of large numbers of particular ones, or buy them to use for parts, so long as they sell. -
I wonder if part of the reason they support so many other projects is to leave comments, in the hope that if they support others (esp popular projects) then they get support back from the creator and anyone else that happens to see their comment and clicks on their username.

I'm not really sure what the point is, especially if it is limited to what Firestar currently stocks. You can already do something like this at bricklink, automated via goatleg.com http://goatleg.com/headid.html eg. want to search for fleshie heads with stubble and a scar on the face ... let goatleg make the BL query for you.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion
MAB replied to 8BrickMario's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I find it quite easy to differentiate "mine" and "stock", for selling. Mine are mine, and get opened and used. Stock are for selling. Sometimes I open them and re-bag them without assembling / playing with them, so they are sold as new on bricklink. Sometimes they are sold sealed if obvious what they are. -
Lego House and 4000011 (Nyir...) are easy enough to bricklink.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

^ that was on there for awhile, cost about £2.50 for UK, I guess about $3.50 USD. -
^^^ it's not the student that likes Lego, it is the boss!

Next study, does Lego encourage arson / robbery more than in the past.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
MAB replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yes, that's why I said so long as retailers still buy into them. It may be that they are slowly dying anyway, as stores near me seem to have loads left over that get discounted to 50% anyway. So maybe less produced of more would lead to better sales. Of course, the downside is that if sales drop, retailers stop taking them altogether. -

Disney and German Footballers are on there now, I doubt they will ever be allowed for sale though. Most earlier CMF series are not included. -

I wouldn't mind 4-5-6 CMF sets in a year. When they do licensed vs non-licensed, then there are enough different series that many people will not want them all. Sure, some people will feel they need them all, but not most. They manage to put out multiple themes at once for regular sets, so why not CMFs too? So long as retailers still buy into them so they can be sold, I wouldn't mind it at all. -
I'd flip Bag End and Helm's Deep, but otherwise agree. Although I think some of the smaller sets are great (Wizard Battle for example). But they have to be small to meet the price point they were sold as. In terms of value for money, Wizard Battle is equal to Orthanc for me. But then generic medieval fans would also love generic medieval figure battle packs, whether elves, dwarves or un-licensed soldiers. And without the license-cost, the sets would be cheaper.

If I saw generic minifigs carrying Gondor shields and wearing Gondor helmets, I'd expect they are meant to represent Gondor soldiers and thus related to LOTR. Just like if I saw generic space troopers wearing stormtrooper helmets, I'd assume it was a Star Wars MOC. Sometimes you cannot get over the licensing for a well known design.
-
Why do you think they don't make yellow hips any more?
-
If generic lotr soldiers can be used outside of lotr, then surely generic soldiers from outside lotr can be used for lotr. Everything I want that is missing is non generic - Gondor soldiers with correct markings, Witch King, Eowyn, Faramir. A reasonable Eowyn can be made from generic parts. Ronan soldiers are also quite easy to make from generic parts. Elves too. It is the insignia and realistic helmets of the Gondor soldiers that I would have liked. Plus the Witch King's head.

Plus their website is set up for shipping within certain regions. Buying products from Europe when in North America is going to screw up their shipping process.

Have you checked the back of Iron Man's legs. If you stand him on the trans-colour cylinders, then the legs are likely to crack at some stage. I've seen quite a few reports of this and it also happened to one of mine.

I like most, but not skydiver, traffic guy or spaceman. I'm not that keen on the robot controller, but the little robot makes up for it. The mime's face (in the single picture) looks like it would be used for sex-dolls though.

It's a nice little build, but I cannot see them making something so small and from an existing theme. If you want people to build it, why not just share the instructions?

What theme is 40161 under. Games? It's own theme? Is one set enough to be a theme?
-
Were they the same minifig? If not, they are meant to have different bump codes.
-
If you are in UK / Europe you can buy them at S@H. I used to back on series 3-10. The bumps used to be quite obvious. I was quicker with bump codes than feeling, plus you don't crumple the packet or scratch the parts.
