  1. Please do this. Change the name to General LEGO LOTR discussion and leave it unsticky. There is still occasional LOTR talk but nothing new coming (or in the near future) so this makes perfect sense.
  2. The idea of the larger torsos is nice but shame they don't have regular arms.
  3. Gondor. Gondor ones are very specific and uniform with their insignia on the armour / shields and their helmets. Whereas Rohan ones are a mixed bunch, which can be done quite easily with existing torsos and other parts.
  4. Some of the newer prints for shields from brickforge are starting to look more LOTR-ish. https://www.brickforge.com/Military-Shield.html There is one with a white tree - if only it was more silver or black than gold! And another one that is very similar to the official Mirkwood elf ones. Here's hoping they get a bit closer still in future.
  5. The problem with that is that children become even more obese than they already are, if they keep the width. And if they start changing widths, then we lose the modularity of not being able to swap parts between figures.
  6. It depends how the figure print is done. For Hobbits, as an example, the printing on the torso is their waist, so the legs would be bending forwards part way down the leg rather than where the hips are.
  7. When you look at these, I prefer the regular unbendable ones.
  8. Since yesterday evening.
  9. It's on the front page of Eurobricks ...
  10. 메가 블록 What is Korean for juniorization?
  11. 벽돌 세트는 더 나은 어쨌든입니다
  12. Something similar has been done unofficially already. I think it was on Glen Bricker's site, where he did a head to head play off for sets close to the 10,000 mark.
  13. In the UK, Team GB were £2.49, up from £1.99 for regular ones. So $4 was probably about right.
  14. Lego often use collectible rather than Collectible. As in, collectible Minifigure Series or Series 15 Minifigure collectibles. The same thing is done on bricklink too, the category is title Collectible Minifigures.
  15. Indeed. If you want your family to know the value, it is worth keeping a list of rough values and keeping sets together if they are likely to be sold. At least that way they may think twice before giving it away, probably to someone who will sell it on anyway.
  16. Pumpkin head isn't new, it has been sold since before Christmas.
  17. Sellers cannot leave negative feedback.
  18. Obscure? It ran for 10 years solid then just as Christmas specials after that and for one episode over one third of the population of the UK watched it. It was sold to many countries (but not the US). Although Steve Carell did want to do a remake for the US market ... http://www.telegraph...made-in-US.html Although the model itself is awful. Terrible design, nothing like it should be.
  19. I doubt there will be a business case to make them, if it ever gets near 10000 votes. There was already a grand piano at minifig scale that made 10000, but didn't pass review. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/167 It was never clear whether this was because there was no business case or because the designer had already started commercialising it through bricklink's MOC shop.
  20. As have many other parts in the past from just about every CMF series. It seems leaked parts are fair game, but not leaked boxes or packets showing artwork.
  21. I don't understand your reasoning. You say only a handful of people pick up sets for specific parts, but then that bricklinkers pick up sets in mass quantities for specific parts and sell off the rest. These people are often the same people. On many occasions I have bought 10x one set to get multiple new parts, then sold off the minifigs and other parts to get my money back (often make a profit). I do it less now you can buy most generic parts on bricks and pieces.
  22. There wasn't a price hike for S5, not in UK (possibly all Europe). Series 1-4 were obviously very cheap in the US, compared to Europe. £1.99 UK, $1.99 US. I reckon they priced them cheap in the US to get the product selling in your market, then raised them to prices similar to Europe once the market was built in the US.
  23. Becuase of these six letters: D I S N E Y.
