  1. I've got a family vig ready for pics and another one on the way... but I'm afraid it got transformed from a vig to a much larger scene by CCC, so it might take me a while Looking forward to what all the rest of you've got in the works!
  2. Another gorgeous micro-build, HQ - that pink is fantastic! Beautiful water and photography, and great job incorporating the towers and walls into the landscape as well
  3. Well, somebody's got a lot of light tan poles! Clever roof solution and neat little cottage, Full Plate, and the vegetation is nicely laid out as usual too I also really appreciate the thoughtfulness that goes into your stories here - keep it up!
  4. Excellent write-up, Captain! I must admit you got me with that spoiler there! And congrats to all the winners, Captain B and Keymonius in particular! Very impressive, guys!
  5. Thanks all! Yep! Thanks for coming up with this crazy idea! I so should have thought of that! Maybe next month though, we'll have to see... Thanks Kwatchi! I find that those windows are super handy Thanks mate! So it would appear. And just wait for the next installment! Thanks guys! Thank you! I've been getting some pretty nice use out of those curves recently I've always wanted to try this double layered water technique too, though I think it ought to look a little better with a somewhat more full scene
  6. That stone technique is fantastic but looks so incredibly time-consuming! The interior and chimney are probably my favorite parts of the build, and I'll echo the others about that grate!
  7. Great job with these scenes, Capt, rock arches are always fantastic, and this one's no exception! Even if it is rock it doesn't look incredibly safe, though
  8. At an inn in Nova Terelli... The crew of the Cardinal's Shadow, enjoying their delicious-tasting drinks as they discuss the strange affairs of the last month on the Brick Seas - particularly the strange stuff with a certain ubiquitous pirate Captain... Suddenly, inexplicably, they all began to nod off to sleep, and despite their best efforts, they were all in the land of Nod within five minutes, dreaming, doubtless, of - well, we won't bother to get into that. But in case you happen to be wondering what was actually going on, shortly previously Captain Unrigged Nordau, having eluded the Nova Terelli officials (with the help of his loyal first mate, of course) - the affair in Rasillion, you see, was entirely a mistake, which, of course, the newspapers totally bobbled; as soon as he and his Sea Rat interceptors had had a good talk they had become capital friends, and he had only left them his little sloop as a gift in exchange for their help in getting him closer to Montario, which it was his goal to raid - anyhow... where were we? Right - shortly before, the good Captain, having given the officers the slip, had administered a bit of his favorite monkey-brewed potion to the crew's cups, which was, of course, the cause of the strange slumber. Then, rowing out to the ship, which was but lightly guarded in such a secure port as Nova Terelli, he had tossed the sentry overboard, and - again with his loyal first mate's most able help - commandeered the ship as his lawful prize. Well, perhaps the legality of it all might just be a little doubtful, but that obviously isn't the point... Well, there you have it! Thanks to Legostone for letting me run off with the Cardinal's Shadow in exchange for getting captured in my little Class 0 - this is definitely one fortunate pirate captain! Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome as always!
  9. Thanks, great! Yeah, probably just the current head of the family and a link to where to find the rest would be enough - you know, I'll just do that for you, I think Also, good idea to specify which characters you've got reservations about - saves me from having to guess, so that's definitely a good thing So - hmhmm - if anybody else has got some particular characters you'd like to make some reservations about/liked to be asked about before they ________ (fill in with anything bad ), mentioning it here is probably a good idea! I'll use my discretion as to when we ought to make sure beforehand anyways, but it'd help to know for sure. I'll do it myself when I finish my family vigs
  10. Woot, more black flags! Now that mine all went down here... Nicely done, Breg; I like the darker colorscheme and the overhanging stern and lantern particularly! I kind of wish you'd gone for black string with the other darker colors, but other than that I can't find much to nitpick at here!
  11. In recognition of their service to the realm, the D'Gattos (@mccoyed), Conzagas (@Basiliscus), and di Carlos (@ZlatanXVIGustaf) have been officially added to the list of Varlyrian families and to the sixth rank (in that order). Please do add a post here introducing your families and come up with an array of expendable characters if you haven't already, but you are now warned officially to be on your guard - the intrigue has begun! All important family developments (that's on you) and the results of events (after they've happened - that's on me) on families' ranks and influence in Varlyrio are to be/will be posted here. Please brush up on how everything works on the first post here if you haven't got it all down, but y'all can go ahead and start backstabbing here whenever you like!
  12. Nice nice nice! Some excellent figs and intriguing backstories here, and like Navarre mentioned, the bodyguards are an excellent addition! The second vig is probably my favorite - love how the Minotaur blends nicely into the background (I actually missed him at first glance)! - but the others are all nicely built too; the window on Gisela's and lanterns and floor on Nestur's being my favorite details, I think. Looking forward to seeing how this all plays out... And of course, welcome to the Guild!
  13. Very nice series of builds, mate, you've got a very professional-looking group of seamen there (especially for Sea Rats... )
  14. Note that a second set of changes are still being worked on to complete this revision cycle. Nice work! Congrats to the leadership on thinking this one up - I've been wishing for something like this for a long time myself but hadn't come up with a way to actually make it work Also congrats @Kwatchi on the well-deserved promotion!
  15. Wow! Now this one is something else - gotta love that color-scheme! Epic all around, and if you manage to build it in real bricks I'd love to see some pics of that!
  16. Hmm, I'm not sure there is any room for cargo on this one - a sandalwood trader, by any chance? The bow and lanterns are my favorite parts, but those stairs are neat as well (except for the fact that no one would fit up them... )!
  17. Now that's an impressive build! Loving all those domes and circular shapes, and the sand green fits the color-scheme so well too! A masterful entry - I think you've done a pretty nice job accomplishing your goal with this one!
  18. Wait for it! It... might be a few days... I'll hit you up, though!
  19. Exciting! Great job with the write-ups as always, Capt! It seems like Captain Unrigged Nordau and his monkeys have a bit of explaining to do That was a pretty funny coincidence, though! (Especially as I'd already sent him out a couple of times and he'd never come across anybody ) And congrats to Kwatchi and my other fellow black-flaggers who managed some pretty nice stuff this month!
  20. Ooh, loving that tree! Excellent build, Ayrlego, Japanese-inspired builds are always awesome to see!
  21. Well! That's certainly quite a stroller! Nicely done - good job with the field as well (though I'm not sure I'm quite sold on the net there...) and I love the coach's grin
  22. That curved wall is so... ! I'm not even quite sure how to describe it, but it's pretty awesome! The rock-work's great as well, and the rafters sticking out is probably my favorite part
  23. A decidedly sweet microbuild, mate! Lovely rock-work and very nice angles on the fort, and those cannon are a very clever design as well! My only question is, why are two bricks missing from the top of the two reinforcements? Jk, I probably wouldn't have even noticed if you hadn't mentioned it
  24. Finally got around to posting this! - Sinking of the Henri Anybody got anything in the works for Eslandola?
  25. "Sprung a leak," or so the papers said. Though how that was possible with such an overwhelmingly thick hull I'm not exactly sure Anyways... Must have been through the rear cabin windows... Captain Whiffo and crew survived, though not without getting soaked clinging on to broken parts of the wreck for a day or two. And yes, that was about four months ago I've actually had this built since about then as well, just never got around to posting it for some reason or another. Anyhow, I did want to do something to commemorate the end of my largest and first ship for BoBS, even if it didn't have the dignity to go down in a more heroic fashion. Thanks for viewing, anyhow, C&C welcome as always!
