  1. That is the best piece of Lego train information that I have learned for the entire month of March. Time to make some changes to my MOCs.
  2. You cannot go wrong following in the footsteps of Mr. Sava. He is one of the train masters in the Lego world. One of these days I will have enough vacation time to make a trip to one of the Texas Brick Railroad's displays.
  3. I love the SNOT techniques that you used on the ends of the train. Great MOC!
  4. It is really hard to not have some of the style from the Constitution when building a 4-6-0 Lego locomotive. The only way that I was able to avoid that "lifted design" look on my 4-6-0 MOC was to build the train in what I call my "Quasi-8" wide format which is a 6 wide with train with 1 full stud of overhang on each side. I really should get some pictures of that MOC on this site now that it has been finished for 3 months.
  5. Very nice build. This truly looks like an evolution of the concept from the 1970s. Great work!
  6. Very nice build. I agree that the profile bricks really set off the looks of the MOC.
  7. Great Work Cale. Plus, PennLUG gets another post on The Brothers Brick. http://www.brothers-brick.com/2015/03/28/red-lion-station-1940s-train-station/ For those that want to see this wonderful MOC in person, it will be on exhibit Philly BrickFest at the end of April.
  8. Amazing model. Can't wait to see it again at PBF2015 in 4 weeks.
  9. #supported Very nice details and a great example of what I want my next 4-6-0 to look like. Awesome!
  10. Amtrak has replaced their HHP-8s, but 6 of those locomotives are still in service along the MARC Penn line between Washington DC and Perryville, MD. Given that they are serviced at the Amtrak Wilmington DE shops, I cannot see how MARC will keep them in service beyond the end of 2015.
  11. This is an awesome representation of the Chessie Steam Special. I rememeber seeing this train once back in the late 70's as it passed through town and it was an amazing locomotive.
  12. Very nice build!
  13. But make sure they are both on the same level. In my lateset build, I have discovered that one M-Motor just does not turn as fast as the other one which is leading a bunch of issues when I crank up my MOC for testing. This might be the issue that plagued our last train on the layout that gabe us lots of issues that we never really figured out.
  14. The warehouse building reminds me of the Renaissance Faire in Lyndhurst NJ. This is a very nice build. Great work.
  15. Absolute stunning build.
  16. Another wonderful build. These builds are just more encouragement for me to start some Chinatown type builds.
  17. Very nice layout. That is a great concept to have a nice compact display that would be pretty portable for shows.
  18. With that lovely running gear that you have built, I think I would just rebuild that cab in the form of an 8 wide locomotive.
  19. Their trip to the engine shop turned out very well!
  20. Unlike other forms of model railroading, with Lego, you can rebuild the locomotives that fall off the track and crash to the floor. But it still hurts when something like that happens.
  21. Very nice build.
  22. Good Work!
  23. Wow. Very nice highway rig.
