  1. Usually only my prototypes are my only delicate builds and then I re-engineer the MOC prior to taking it to a show. In the case of modular builds, my "Ladies" Modular houses moc are solid built and do not break down to show interiors so they need very little bubble wrap. My modulars buildings that come apart get wrapped in bubble wrap or padded in plastic bins with those air pillows from all of my Amazon purchases. All decorative interior and exterior accessory components for those modulars are backed into small zip lock freezer bags and stored inside the modular building with a little bubble wrap. The space ships in my collection are usually broken down into their modules and then packed into smaller (thin) boxes with a little bubble wrap. Because my star fighters are solid ships, they need very little bubble wrap. My "Cootie Crawler" on the other hand usually goes to the shows tightly wrapped in bubble packing. By the time the show is complete and if I have played with it demonstrating its walking capabilities, it typically needs a thorough rebuild so it comes home tossed into the bottom of which ever carton is available and it might get a little bubble wrap around it. My Ghost Train is a different story all together as many of the train cars and locomotive are broken down into modules and then those are packed in gallon freezer bags. The modules are very solidly built, but all trim and "greebles" that may fall off while being transported are captured in the bag so that I can easily get it back onto the right part of the train quickly. I have a little bubble wrap in the box with the train, but for the most part, it is the gallon bags that provide the protection by capturing any part that may fall off in transport.
  2. Very nice detail on these cars.
  3. Fabulous concept and great work getting those gear ratios just right to keep the trains level.
  4. Very nice train. The wagons are superbly detailed. Great job!
  5. That is a beautiful workshop and the tools on the interior look very realistic. Actually, it does not look that far from the tooling I used to move around on floor sets when I was a rigger 10 years ago. hmmmm..... Perhaps this "Steampunk" thing is not as far from reality as many of us would like to think. Nice build!
  6. Nice Tower. With a couple of mods, it would also look nice on our moon base layout as well.
  7. This list would not be complete without Josh Sanders 0-6-0 Saddle Tanker that has the Power Functions completely self contained.
  8. Nice train car.
  9. Great Work.
  10. Beautiful detail! And even better, it does not look like the bakery concept that I am developing at this point so I am extra happy. Keep up the Awesome MOCs.
  11. The drainpipe end is absolutly awesome! Great Work!
  12. Nice Work! All you need is some Lego art and you are set!
  13. Nice work!
  14. The 88000 is in stock from Lego Shop@Home in the United States.
  15. I have one "dud" 88000 battery box in my collection of 8 battery boxes. So yes, they are out there. I need to report it to Lego, but I have not due to my fact that I had 4 complaints in 4 months last year and I did not want to hit one of their black lists.
  16. I will be purchasing the stuff that has been permanently sold out at my local Lego store now that the scalpers and black marketers have done a wonderful job at cleaning out the inventory of desirable sets to ship overseas.
  17. Awesome Build!
  18. Very nice locomotive. I see this style of locomotive running down the middle of Delaware Ave. in South Philly shuffling railcars.
  19. Wow! Lots of detail in such a little space. Very nice ambulance!
  20. Really nice job on the boom truck/cherry picker. We need more trucks like this on most of the layouts that I participate. Great work!
  21. This is much nicer than the one piece plastic fronts they use on most Lego Helicopters. Nice work.
  22. I think you have visited my old, very small parish in Philly that they built the El-train against the building about 60 years ago. Great work putting that much detail in such a little space.
  23. This looks very nice. Compact layouts with lots of detail are always something that are a crowd favorite at most events. The train running right up against the buildings reminds me of a couple of places that I have been in the past. I also like that you built as much vertically as you did in using the available space in the size of baseplates used. Great job.
  24. Very nice work. I remember watching these shuffle coal cars through the N&W yard in Kenova, WV when I was little.
  25. From what I have seen, their is not much difference between the two. The one where the M-Motor pins to the running gear will give you more power/torque. The one where the M-motor clutch attaches to the plate may not have as much power, but it will be will be faster. Also note, from my visits to a few AFOL conventions, I have seen a couple more variations including one using an L-Motor that has the power to wreck a whole moonbase when it collides with a stanchion (or two/three) while running around the layout.
