  1. I like the blue lines, but indeed, it would worth to try with black pneumatic tubes. Also, I prefer the Front Right with the connector #1 (the reddish brown one) for the flex axle, it looks much smoother on the right, than on the left.
  2. I see that the second one is a bit more realistic, but the first one with the white pieces in the front of the cab somehow looks better (more finished) and also the overall shape is more advanced. Great MOC btw!
  3. I suggest to go directly for the upgraded version, which contains improved gearbox without the U-joints, and one-piece body: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-31299/jb70/42110-pimp-up-my-land-rover/#bi and don't forget the awesome B-model from Grohl (designer of 42110): https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-36089/grohl/stadium-truck-20/#bi Both have professional Building Instructions!
  4. Use Stud.io, import the LXF, there are newer parts available there. Also the rendering engine is superb!
  5. The flow of the lines is sooo satisfying to look at! You just nailed it very well.
  6. Really dig the bug shape, and looks stunning in DBG!
  7. I think too, that the Mustang wheels will be too small (56 mm vs 49,5 mm), and indeed, the rear axle will hit the ground. Edit: 62,4 could work and I think it looks good too - but there is 1 stud offset due to the thinner wheel. Thanks @Void_S for the .io file!
  8. Only the trailer wheels look odd a bit. I prefer 56x26 ballon tires, as in the first photo. Still love the simplicity and clean look of it!
  9. There is one problem with this comparison, and it was stated previously in other topics already: price per piece. You can not take it as a measure, You can mold 30 pins with the material and time of 1 3x11 panel (just figured out something, no need to hit me). Also, as models get bigger and bigger, You need more structural reinforcement - which means even more pins. Weight scaling per piece count comparison would be more interesting and more adequate. Also it can be argued, if moving towards licensed sets and leaving off B-models is added value or not, this is getting more personal, but TLG as company will go for what can be sold for majority. ON TOPIC: what do you think, 62,4 wheels would fit into the Charger, to get a more classy look?
  10. Any chance for building instructions? Works with transparent liftarms only?
  11. I don't think You need to sorry, if some had already a concept in the head for those tires, than they will not go wasted. Actually, what is the problem with those? I don't understand, really. I just leave some inspiration here:
  12. I am afraid there is no easy shortcut. You can do in 2 ways: gather 2nd hand bulk Technic sets - and You will end up a lot of boxes with lot of parts (good for MOCing in the future, though). Try to Bricklink the required parts. Both are rather expensive method (as most hobbies are), but for the second option Rebrickable is a good partner - just make sure, that You switch Include Used/2nd Hand Parts to YES. Than You will save some money, as Rebrickable is looking for new parts only as default. You might still need to place 2-3 orders at different shops. For copycats, there is no warranty, that the instructions are same quality, but probably they are stolen as well... As You mentioned, the best way to support the creator is purchasing directly from him/her via Rebrickable.
  13. Very ingenious, and compact! I love it! Thanks for bringing this in, I admire Akiyuki, but somehow I always forget to check his channel...
  14. Looks good, maybe You could use red springs upside down, to make the visible areas more color coherent. Might be, that hard springs will be too hard - but if it will be a track day racer, than will fit.
  15. I hope it is not a 11x15 frame... though I like panels and frames, for me Technic is still about building techniques, so big molded pieces would be a step back, into direction of... playmobil.
  16. For example here, also it is driven by z20 gear, which underlines this. The new differential is driven by z12 gear. I think the wheelie stand (not keen on this one) is operated by the big LBG lever in the middle console.
  17. @SamuelYsc strange, you must probable just delete it and rewrite. Looks like a fun set, with LOT of tuning potential!
  18. @Ric079 I am glad You like it, there is some minor alignment issues in the front suspension (You can see it in the instructions too), I gave up on nerves after a while. But, most importantly, it is buildable, and works. Also Stud.io generates a bit weird Bill of material, with strange numbers - Rebrickable can help here.
  19. I consider this, as statement aka rule. This came up after wishes by others. In my opinion, it is a rule change, even written as update - hence the flow is contradictory to me, but sure, it can be only my way of interpretation. It would have been nicer to offer for all to have the chance to use their on-hand tires only, especially considering the effort we all make to minimize contacts to stop the spread of the COVID-19 on all fields of life. This is our responsibility as well, I will buy only essentials during this period, LEGO tires don't belong here. You are the author, You decide, as I wrote, I can deal with it, just wanted to share another perspective. Although I have 2 pcs of 56898, they don't fit aesthetically with the other permitted ones, also not enough to make a 4 wheeler with uniform tires. I know, I am picky. For clarification: I am not angry, I don't want You to make exceptions nor changes now (especially not only because of me, who might be the minority who is whining), let's go for the contest and let's have fun. I still can and will build MOCs.
  20. Can be, that neither 30699 nor 56898 is on hand. Buying LEGO might not be the first thing what comes into the mind for some these days... some priorities must be set, especially due the financial effect of the crisis. This forum and such contests are great escape from everyday issues, but the inflexibility regarding the tires (bit contradictory with the recent height discussion) just takes away this option from many of us. I understand and respect the rules though, and will survive.
  21. I see there is not much interest here, still, today I tested myself for the first time with digital instructions. Here is the result, I hope some will find joy with this small build - I definitely had! CLICK HERE for Building instructions in PDF format.
  22. I really like the first sketch model - very promising. Good idea with the unusual suspension (I also had it my mind for a while, but never started to actually try it), I am very interested how You will solve the steering.
  23. Sorry to hear that, than I am also out of the game for now. Anyway, I will follow the WIP topics with great interest, and maybe I will MOC something parallel outside the boundaries of the contest.
