Really great! I am impressed. So much effort has gone into this and it turns out fine. Good job on the "interior design" to have the dwarfs in the lower levels - just to mention one detail.

Jewelry Store, Pizzeria, and Bricklyn Bike
Captain Braunsfeld replied to sonicstarlight's topic in LEGO Town
Excellent (like the others have already said). Great job on all the interiors! -
 A someone who tries to include monkeys whereever possible I cannot really say something negative - and why should I? My sons would probably hate it What I really like is the imperial port. Is there more to see?

[MOC] 6263 Imperial Outpost Redesigned
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Robinson's topic in Pirate MOCs
Very good. I love these redesigns of classic sets - yours has turned out well. -

Very good, very helpful. Now, do I need to rebuild all my rock sets?
-
I was not really happy with the initial pictures , so I took some more. As this is the biggest ship I've built it was also the most difficult one to photograph... Here are a few details: These cannons are used on deck. This is Jupiter: This is how we tried to do the rigging ("Wanten"): I think the pictures are better now (with also less soldiers on board) Ok, bye for now!

Paris Opera House in Modular Style (64 wide)
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Legodt's topic in LEGO Town
Fantastic. Great job on the interior too (pearl gold everywhere ) I like the four-piece orchestra. -
This is really great (I have commented here before, but based on the excellent updates I need to come back). It is amazing how you combine the different elements to so many new minifigs that really work out well.

Very nice, my friend. I was a bit surprised to find your MOC here (but you have provided the explanation). The rock is very good (the sequence of colours!) - and my most favorite is actually the vulture Keep going - I want to see the next scene!

166D Ahoy, time for a more serious attempt to build a ship: This is the HMS Jupiter (3rd generation). The model is loosely based on the HMS Diana (many non-lego models seem to be around - check out this e.g. http://www.modelship...Diana_I_eng.htm) So, we have the captain: ... and his crew (with many custom cannons)... There she is sailing away: Some different custom cannons on deck: ... not to forget Jupiter himself: .. and one of two custom carronades: The ship is built in a modular way: For some strange reason Emmet found his way onboard but he found himself equally terrified by a crew member and by the ship's goat. (Oh, no monkey on this one) This is a joint collaboration of me and my son and we are both happy and proud about the result. Please send your comments! (Actually, the HMS Jupiter does not look so yellow in reality. I still need to convince my photo editing program to produce something decent... )

A huge improvement over the initial set. Very nice island, good work on water, wet stones and wet sand. More!

Great Stuff! Definitely Treasure Island. Others have already rightfully praised so many aspects of your MOC, that they only leave me to point out: nice custom flag!

I love this. 6244 Armada Sentry was iconic - and so is this remake. The green doors are fantastic. A perfect fit for "Classic Pirates" (You also turned the yellow minifig into a fleshy one! )
-
Very good. I like the hole in the white wall where the bricks come through. I hope the terrible pirates can be driven away by the brave soldiers.

I would like to point out a tribute (hommage), included in this MOC: (pushing for comments... ) It is the man sailing/steaming/floating away on his own. This was meant as a tribute to one of my MOCing heroes, who usually includes a guy in a sort of tub... So, this is my steampunk version of it, although it is historically not quite correct. Have a nice weekend!

Battle of Port Royal (Moc+all imperial sets+Battle)
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Matthias's topic in Pirate MOCs
Hi, I must have overlooked this when it was posted. A great scene with lots of things happening! All very much in the classic pirate look and feel. I have not found the reporter, but to pick a few things that I found very good: - the small river running through - the map salesman - that hat salesman So, very enjoyable - but where can we find the reporter? Any hint?- 18 replies

Myst! Nice to see something like this. I spent hours playing it. Good work, keep on!

This has a nice classic feel. The inclusion of the Guarded Inn is a good idea. Let's hear it for the wolfpack!

Full-hull French Frigate (WIP)
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Frank Brick Wright's topic in Pirate MOCs
I would suggest to not leave one side open. The finished side is so beautiful, why leave the rest "unfinished". But that's not what you asked for. The figurehead. I suppose, you would not want to go for a monkey (like I do) so you would prefer a more serious answer. Sebeus suggests "tan" and tan can be found within the model as part of the deck, so it would fit in a way. On the other hand, tan does not look impressive. After having gone so far you want to come up with a figurehead that stands out (e.g. a white one). I would be distinctive from the yellow. What about gold? The Atlantis sets brought a golden minifig with them - you can also add golden armour, etc. .... now the lines got messed up. The sentence about being distinctive was meant to be the last one...- 77 replies
